dental veeners

Hi sisses!
Need help. I had a root canal treated 3 weeks ago. The endodontist was good but when she referred me back to the dentist who was supposed to do the complete restoration of my tooth (i.e. crown), nagkaproblema na because 3x na ako pabalik balik, ayaw mag fit nung crown (sobrang kapal), bumabangga sa lower tooth..when I went to another dentist, she recommended doing a fixed bridge together with 2 teeth beside the root canal treated tooth. Im hesistant coz sayang naman yun dalawang tooth, di nman sira...
Do you know a dentist who's good at doing crowns? Pwede ba veneer nalang ilagay sa root canal treated tooth? Thanks! Pls post here or PM me your recommended dentists and their addresses/tel.#s, preferrably around QC area.

yes all ngipin na sis.. i remember veneers ko 4 tapos lahat na fixed bridge na match ng veneers.. maganda sya dami sabi nagkailong daw ako kasi before nakadenture ako nakalubog hehe

^yes sis pwede sya sa sungki (mild cases) and sa may missing tooth naman hidi sya pwede you need fixed bridge

for the dentists dito: pwede po bang porcelain veneers instead of porcelain crown yung ni root canal na front tooth? currently naka veneer pero hindi porcelain kasi same day nilagay, pero halata pa din discoloration nung tooth. mga 15 years na kasi since na root canal sya.

I honestly wanted to have veneers but my doctor was too sweet to tell me na I don't need veneers and since I lost my vacuum retainers 4x na(which costs 5-10k both for upper and lower) she gave me this free treatment na nakalimutan ko na ang name, bonding yata, hahaha. Anyway, I so love her and she comes from a family of dentists, she's doing her job talaga less of business for her, imagine, nakaka-ilang free treatments na ako sakanya, laging sagot sakin na "gift ko na yan sa'yo" kasi nga laging nawawala yung retainers ko.

Also, I can't help but mention that I at first, I thought Divine Lee's veneers are very nice, pero nung napanood ko siyang magsalita, I knew there was something wrong.
And also, Heart Evangelista's veneers are really perfect, I wonder who her dentist is.

free consultation.  All 4 of us, if I'm not mistaken had ortho with him.  I have seen others with veneers
and I think nothings wrong with it, afford naman nila eh.

^Perhaps dahil na rin siguro sa pagiging long time clients namin a family nila sis. Oh wait, haha, you must've misunderstood me when I mentioned Evangelista and Lee's Veneers. I agree, they look really good and thanks to their money, they can afford those luxuries. What I'm trying to point out sis is that I like Evangelista's Veneers better than Lee's

@prettynsmart - sis, meron na syang nagawa na pantay-pantay and super white. Depends kasi sa preference ng patient but he'll also tell you kung babagay sa yo or not yung gusto mo. Like for me I wanted na malapit yung color sa lower teeth ko. Hirap kasi maputi yung upper then lower ko di naman gaano.

Pwede veneers instead of crowns but it depends on the severity of the decay prior to rootcanal. What happens when you have a root canal treatment is that your tooth becomes brittle kasi wala ng nutrition and blood supply. So the main purpose of crowns is to protect the tooth.. Maganda ang emax and medyo affordable din..

Maraming kind of veneer materials pinapili sa akin but I chose porcelain. They're a bit pricey but I wanted less maintenance through the years. Porcelain will not discolor. Pinapalitan ko na rin one of my front tooth na naka-jacket kasi nag-discolor sya through the years (it's not porcelain). So both my veneers and crown are porcelain. I spent quite a small fortune on my teeth but it's all worth it. Confident na ako mag-smile!
