Paubos na kasi yung Studio Fix ko, nagpa panic na ko kasi wala talaga akong napapansin na MAC dito tapos when I googled it walang lumalabas! Eeeek! Puro Mac as in Macintosh lang! hehe

an AUstralian colleague (male) is looking for a whole flat to rent in tampines area. can someone suggest? he said no agent if possible. hehe. kuripot.

Mahirap maghanap ng walang agent. Although he has to pay for fees, less hassle at sakit ng ulo naman for him kamo kasi he can specify with the agent what he requires in a flat saka less sayang ng oras sa viewing tapos di pala gusto, pakikipag negotiate sa owner, stamp duties etc. 

BTW, Tampines din kami. Azalea Park Condo.

Bakante pa rin common room namin. Asar tong dyowa ko ayaw pa renta. Gusto ko sana kahit short term lang. Hmph!

hi everyone i'm stopping over at singapore for a week before i go back to the philippines.i'm planning to look for a job there and two agencies e-mailed me for walk-in interviews.kaso it's a bit dubious since they're asking for sgd20. is it normal for agencies there to ask for a fee while they help you look for a job?sabi naman nila they'll return the money if ever they can't find anything for me.
i'm a psych graduate with less than a year of work experience (recruitment), but i'll be getting my master's degree here in the uk soon.
what do you think are my chances of getting a job there and is it okay to just drop by offices to submit my cv while im there?
MOM also approved my application for the work holiday pass so i hope that's a plus.any kind of feedback will be appreciated

sis normally yung mga agencies dito dont collect money hangat wala ka pang sure job at yung fees na collected nila sayo to be deducted yun sa 1st salary mo ganyan kasi yung case ng dati naming kasama sa bahay pero minimal lang. kung sinisingil ka agad ay bogus po yan. hanap ka na lang sa iba try mo din magsubmit sa ibang company but dont expect for an interview on spot kasi per appointment ang mga interviews dito.

@vanillabirthdaycake: they've asked u to drop by NOT for an interview per se. they don't ask for any work experiences but rather, they discuss how their agency works, the fees they will have to collect from u but not the job nor the company they service or they are connected to. been there, done that

sis, I thought you are taking up your MBA?  bakit ka pa mag apply for work? is it just for "testing" the waters, on how many offers you can get within a week? 

regarding the agency, naka encounter din ako nyan pero hindi ko pinatulan bec parang mali, go out of your way to their office, then ikaw pa magbayad?  tapos once hired, baka may commission pa sila fr the employer, tapos additional fees na hingin ulit fr you.

haps, mag taxi ka na lang.. mas mahal pa aabutin mo pag nag cable car kayo.. sa Jewel Box kayo kakain? sosyal! LOL

tama si mami viols sis... kakaiba pag nag collect ng pera dito for an interview... di ko pa naencounter yun.. dati may headhunter ako na binayaran ng $50 pero that's after I got the job offer from the company..

thanks for your replies medyo kakaiba nga if an agency would ask for money.so i guess i'll just try to submit my resume to companies and do some sightseeing on the side since i already booked my ticket i'm about to finish my master's in business psych, not an mba mas mahirap yata yun.hehe. the work holiday pass is offered to those who are about to finish or who have graduated recently from university.  i just applied online and what it basically does is that it gives you permission to stay in singapore for 6 months to find a job.parang epec only shorter
