Does anyone here have a GE Profile fridge? It's what we're planning to buy as it fits the ref space perfectly and it has what I'm looking for in a fridge (i.e. fiberglass shelves, freezer with a shelf).

But the guy from Avant says that they have stopped carrying the GE brand due to customer service issues.  He said that while the product itself is a good one, it takes customer service at least two weeks before they respond to a problem.

Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Yikes! Really? I was considering on buying this brand pa naman. Hindi naman kaya some models lang may problema? Or baka naman tinanggal ni GE sa Avant yung mga products nila and the guys there are badmouthing GE na?

sis, my ref's brand is Panasonic. okay na rin sya, tapos mura pa. 14 months na yung ref namin. wala pa naman kaming nae-encounter na problems so far. low consumption pa sa kuryente.

I spoke to a guy in Ansons and he said that it wasn't true since GE is one of the best selling refrigerator brands because of the quality.  He said that the Abensons group (which owns Avant) has payment issues with GE (or something to that effect).

Either that or he's really good at sales talk In any case, we've decided to still go with GE since I've always known it to be reliable.

yung ref namin na GE 20 years na at wala ng pinto yung sa freezer okay na okay pa rin. diko lang sure kung malakas sya sa kuryente kasi antique na sya.

yung ref sa clinic na whirlpool, sira na yung parang clear na plastic cover sa ilalim ng freezer. pati yung isa nyang paa, natanggal eh walang pang ilang months yun, buti hindi natumba yung ref ang taas pa naman.

We have a Samsung two-door no frost, 2 years old na so far ok pa sya. 

My parents recently bought an Electrolux-White Westinghouse, we'll see pa how many years ang lifespan...

Our panasonic ref 6 months palang nasira na yung door sa chiller, tapos ngayon mag 3 years na sya nasisira na yung door sa freezer. Mas okay pa yung antique na GE dati masmatanda pa sakin yun eh tumagal pa ng ilan year. Pero ang masasabi ko kay panasonic okay pa din sya kahit na-Ondoy na. Gumagana pa at malakas pa magfreeze. Yun lang maliit na for us ang 7 cu ft.

I'm eyeing the GE 10 cu ft. yung hindi no frost ah (mahal ata sa kuryente ang no frost?) Okay pa din ba? eto yung nasa 18k yata...

The one we saw was around Php 65K+ last year but I think this was the biggest one.  There's a slightly smaller version but I don't remember how much (just check Ansons Makati).

ours is condura.just bought last week..semi-automatic siya and it has a knob that you can turn off or adjust the temp.ask ko lang mga sis, advisable ba to turn off the ref kahit di mo tinatanggal sa saksakan niya instead of yung complete turn-off [textspeak!]?

wala pa tlaga ako masyadong alam how to take good care ng appliances. thanks in advance!!!

condura din yung sa amin. yung maliit, i think 6cu.ft lang yun. enough for the two of us. hindi pa nga namin napuno yun ng husto. medyo maliit lang talaga kaya mas ok if tanggalin yung partition sa gitna para makatayo pa yung pitchel. hehe

maganda ang panasonic. kung tipid sa kuryente, depende yan sa pag gamit nyo at pag stock nyo ng mga produce sa ref. also, which part of the house ninyo ilalagay yung ref (if naarawan or not) also affects the performance of the motor thus the electricity bill

i went to SM Megamall kahapon and the SA said na hindi daw advisable ang inverter sa ref because:

- mas mabagal lumamig
- yung kain ng kuryente nya steady like a flat line. so always in the middle, tuloy tuloy kumakain ng kuryente unlike sa regular ref na nagpepeak or umaandar lang pag "cooling time" na sya. so makakatipid ka sa intverter ref kapag pinapatay mo. i said, what?

I'm not sure kung totoo sinabi nya or he was just trying to talk me over to buying a different brand? i would appreciate your first hand feedback/info re inverter ref. i think panasonic lang meron nito? tama ba? thanks!

we bought a 21 cu.ft. side-by-side stainless steel electrolux ref. it comes free with an electrolux 20 liter microwave. the SA says this is more economical than the inverter type coz the technlogy is more advanced. i don't understand what the SA means by this. sila lang ni hubby ang nagkakaintidihan. the compressor for this model is a known brand from Australia (which i promptly forgot what brand) and the body is pure stainless steel from US. the other electrolux sbs ref we're eyeing sana has matsushita as compressor and the body is also stainless steel from Korea. some brands pala of ref are really not using stainless steel sa body, coated lang pala but inside it's aluminum.
