you mean when you need to defrost?

alam ko hindi na kasi meron yang button for you to press when you need to defrost the unit

it will also automatically turn on when it has completed it's defrost

with question number 2, take food for thawing? i think so. not unless you want to pop in the food in the microwave and press the thaw button. that will thaw the food in minuites but will consume more electricity.

Does anyone here have a GE Profile fridge? It's what we're planning to buy as it fits the ref space perfectly and it has what I'm looking for in a fridge (i.e. fiberglass shelves, freezer with a shelf).

But the guy from Avant says that they have stopped carrying the GE brand due to customer service issues.  He said that while the product itself is a good one, it takes customer service at least two weeks before they respond to a problem.

Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks!

And, regarding no-frost refs.. as in malakas ba sa kuryente?? about how many percent ang nadadagdag sa consumption?

kapag semi-automatic naman, hindi ba mahirap or hassle linisin when you defrost?

nasira kasi yung Condura ref ko. 3yrs+ palang sya. tsk tsk! kakainis nga eh. i dont know what ref to get. should i get a no frost or semi automatic? one door or 2-door? im torn between Kelvinator semi automatic pero one door sya and sa Samsung na no frost na 2-door. mas malaki yung freezer ng Kelvinator. pero ang gusto ko malaman if sobrang lake ba ng itataas ng kuryente kung no forst ang kukunin ko? and pls help me po with my questions. thanks!

sis parang ang kelvinator carrier and condura parehas concepcion carrier.  and sa refs and freezers ang warranty ng compressor is 5 years.

Mas malakas indeed ang no-frost models which is why you need to check the energy ratings.  I got an Electrolux model to replace yun old Magic Chef namin as it, the Electrolux, doesn't defrost automatically as often as the other current models.  Would've love to get a better one pero bitin ang budget kasi.

Old Samsung ref is no kwenta but knowing how the Koreans evolved in their products I'm sure this doesn't apply to their current products. 

Advice lang, avoid placing heavy loads sa door kasi masisira yun plastic plus ma-disalign yun door.  And keep a car wax around as yun ang tool mo para hindi kalawangin agad yun ref mo - especially if you have male dogs around.

wala akong swerte sa pagbili ng bagong refrigerator...when i first move in in my condo here in ermita i chose panasonic ref awa ng Diyos naospital ang anak ko kasi 1 month pa lang di na sya lumalamig nakainom tuloy ng spoiled fresh milk ang daughter ko na food poison...brand new yun ha! second time naman i bought a condura ref para sa store ko sa qc 3 days na sya di pa rain lumalamig ang mga softdrinks at di tumitigas ang ice....i end up replacing it all with samsung no frost...ayun happy na ako...satisfied ako sa performance sobrang lamig na yung mga drinks na nilalagay namin.hindi lang sya bagay sa store kasi medyo hindi matibay ang mga plastic nya.crack na yung divider sa freezer at sa vegetable bin...siguro nasa gumagamit na rin...tindera ko sobrang lagay ng kung ano [textspeak!] mabibigat.

Condura mura sa kuryente kasi from 1,800 na bill ko sa kuryente 700 na lang last bill ko matapos ko magpalit ng ref.

I never trust SAMSUNG brand, not anymore matapos masira ang lcd samsung ko na ginamit ko lang 5 months then cp ko na wala pang 1 year ko ginagamit...

nice, may feedback na he3.  Mukhang nga sirain ang plastic, patay he3. Medyo hindi pa man din maingat si misis.

don't buy the samsung no frost na may plastic edge sa doors. last year nagulat na lang ako biglang may bumagsak sa kitchen lo and behold i saw our REF'S DOOR as in buong door bumagsak sa floor.  pano kung may lil nephew opened the door and nabagsakan siya di ba?
