Sis, i feel for you. ganyan din nararamdaman ko ngayon. Lahat naman ng vitamins kahit pricey pinasubok ko na tapos kahit pediasure talagang pinasubok ko na din, super like niya pero still no effect sa kaniya, hindi siya tumataba...

Sis, ilang months na bebe mo? ang sa akin 1 year and 4months.

i agree sis, yun nga lang gusto ko pa din siyang magkalaman laman kahit konti. imagine 1 year and 4months na son ko, 9kgs lang siya. Nakakapang-hina. :(

Your very much welcome sis.dapat talaga tama kasi yung preparation natin ng milk for them to get the right nutrients. So ngayon pareho na tayong panatag hehe.

^you can throw in minced meat and veggies into the lugaw. Instead of water you can use freshly made meat-based or veggie-based soup stock to boil your lugaw at least the nutrients are there. Personally I don't give milk formula (so-called follow up milk) to my kids. If you compare it to other countries tayo Lang ang ang ibigay ng ganun. By 1 they give fresh milk. Besides giving follow up milk makes kids full that they skip proper meals.

^My 16mo old is still on breast milk til now. My 4yo, who was formula-fed when she was a baby, was off from any formula/follow up milk since she was 2.5yo. It would have been earlier but we had a hard time taking her off the bottle. Both are taking/eating calcium-enriched food like yogurt, cheese, green leafy vegetables and fruits like oranges (yes, fresh orange contains calcium). They also drink at least a glass of fresh milk everyday.

Definitely no Nido or anything similar. Too much sugar IMO. Btw, when my daughter had a phase of severe constipation, dr. Cricket Chen, whom we consulted before, said that formula can actually be a culprit for the constipation. One of the main ingredients of powdered milk is casein which surprisingly is almost a major component of white glue(I.e. Elmer's glue). She was actually the one who told us that it is only in our country where follow up milk is big on the market. Western countries like US, most kids are off milk and bottle by the time they hit 1.

^wow, i never knew that about formula/follow up milk... Katakot naman. So when you wean your toddler its straight fresh milk right away? Plus as you mentioned other calcium rich food? How did you get your 4yo off thr feeding bottle?

^even before they're off formula/BM, they were taking freshmilk already. For my eldest taking her off the bottle was done cold turkey. She had a bad cold then and the pedia said that bottle feeding (lalo na if nakahiga) while having nasal congestion makes the kid vulnerable to ear infection. Plus at that time i was already preggy so it was just right to make her stop (in fact it was long due). The pedia talked to her that she'll be an ate already and she needs to stop taking milk from bottle.

I saw that there were a few fellow Panatag moms in the past page. Share ko din sana what helped me din deal with my daughter's appetite - or lack thereof

We noticed her weight drop and my sister-in-law, who is also my daughter, Rachel's pedia, suggested na we change something in her diet since whatever we were doing was not working and hindi na healthy ang weight ng anak namin. So we tried experimenting with different food - baka kasi she didn't like my cooking Lol. And tried different styles - mga ulam na may sabaw, grilled, fried, etc pero she only she started appreciating these foods when we changed her milk to Lactum. Gustong-gusto niyang isabay ang milk habang kumakain siya ng breakfast, lunch, and dinner na gamit-gamit ang mga Disney freebies na nakuha niya from Lactum :) And we haven't had any trouble feeding her since then :) so those considering to switch milk, Lactum is worth a try :D
