mga sis meron ba kayong idea kung pano mag put up ng spa business...

since na mahilig talaga ako mag pa spa (once a a week)...talagang matagal kuna pangarap na magtayo ng ganito...

magkano kaya probably ang pwedeng gastusin, saan ang training? pano kumukuha ng mga tao? yung mga products na gagamitin etc etc...

yung sa sa design and interior sa luob medyo wala na akong pproblemain dun kasi architect ang dad ko...problema kuna lang pano yung pasikot sikot na dapat malaman...

share naman po ideas mga sis...TIA

I'm planning to put up a spa in our existing garden restaurant business.  Although i consider myself a spa-holic =) i'm a beginner in this business.  I did some research, i even bought a book to get more ideas. And I hope u can add more to my learnings.

My question is about training, I already found a group who can train my staff-to-be and they will receive a certificate from TESDA.  However, I read from my book that here in philippines a spa therapist must be licensed or at least supervised by a licensed masseur.  In my case i don't have a licensed masseur.. can i still operate even if we only have certificate from TESDA?

2nd,please give me an idea how to compensate my staff.  Will it be basic salary or by commission? How much is the ideal basic salary considering we are just starting small.  I'll hire 3 staff only, 1 will perform the responsibility of receptionist, admin and cashier, 2 will do the body works.  I can offer them free food and accomodation. But i don't know how much is the salary to offer.

if i were you, get your masseurs from TESDA, di kana gastos ng training kasi me training na sila. all you have to do is train them sa pressure and rhythm, na ayun sa technique na gusto mo,bilang "spa-holic" you should have known by now kung what magandang rhythm or strokes ang gamitin.

allowance plus commission. like 50 or 100 day, anyways they get the tip.

sis jakks,  from what i remember,  yung certificate from TESDA will serve as a license na ata.  yan yung sabi ng therapist ko.  But you better check with them.  kasi alam ko they will take an exam for that ata.

sana maging ok ang business mo.  dream ko rin mag put-up ng sarili kong spa business.

TESDA certificates means they did study. the license they are referring to is the accreditation form DOH, which they have to take the exam.

In my opinion, nails salon hindi na, kasi need mo lang naman yung manicurist na marunong and then train them in nail art.

first,look for a place to rent, nakahit malapit sa kalsada eh hindi sya maingaypag nasa loob kana.
start up capital depends on how many rooms or what look you would like to project, pero mga 100k you can start na,with supplies na din yan. wala pa sauna to ha.
you can get your masseurs at TESDA. They have trainings and practical application prior to graduation.
If you love getting a  massage,most probably by now you would definitely know the different strokes and techniques they use.
Supplies like towels, sa divi na yan.
Early on decide whether your going to do a floor massage or on the table. That way makakapag allot ka ng budget.

I have a supplier of oils,scrubs and everything that you will be needing in operating a spa.


note: this kind of business is not the usual na madaling bumalik ang ROI,kaya kailangan mahabahaba ang pisi mo, financially and emotionally.

me i want a home spa services.i.e. foot spa, massage, manicure pedicure. san kaya makakakuha ng mga people for this services and how much ang pay nila. is it 50/50 po ba? thanks.

Don't forget to do frisking at bag checking everytime maguwian. SOP dapat kasi di maiwasan maitakas ang mga gamit lalo na at madaming maliliit na stuff. TIP lang. And if you can afford it, invest on a competent receptionist-slash-cashier-manager. If you woulld not be managing it yourself kasi, nakasasalay sa kanya ang day to day operations which would determine future ng business mo.

i like this biz too cuz im a spa buff. mag mamaterialize din ang pangarap ko SOON  anyway, as a customer, i don't really mind naman kung maganda yung facilities. ang importante sa akin is yung hospitality ng staff, saka yung skill na rin nila. gusto ko yung therapist na masunurin like if i say sakto lang, they wouldn't go hard on me. yung iba kasi na hindi nasusunod yung preference ko maski pa sabihin ko na masakit na, hindi ko na binabalikan yun. and para ma inspire ang staff, as the owner, syempre bibigyan ko ng magandang compensation

yeah, how much ba ang budget for this kind of business? gusto ko sana tipong middle class na like Anzen, bioessence, suay thai. actually gusto ko nga spa-cafe. mukang malaki ang capital na kailangan

mas matipid sa kuryente ang oil burner na di kandila.sa tubig naman po hinahalo ang scented oil,magdiffuse na scent nun dahil sa init.

I want to start a small business like this, but i do not know anything on how much it will cost and how I can find a good manicurist/pedicurist who also does those foot and hand massage.

problem ko ngayon tao =( ang hirap mag maintain ng tao. papasok sa araw at oras na gusto nila. tuloy yung spa na pinatayo ko nakatiwangwang lang..huhu buti nalang wala ako rent na binabayaran.  can you suggest san ako pwede makahanap ng tao?
