praying for your partner in life

Ang traits lang na nasabi ko noon sa prayer ko:
- someone who loves his parents
- someone who will love me and my mom
- someone who can teach me a lot of things about
life
- someone who will pray with me and make Him the centre of our relationship
- someone who will accept me and all aspects of
me kahit hindi ako domesticated at di marunong
maglaba, magplantsa, including my past.
- someone who can control me
- a good father - a good man
- someone who can make me smile and laugh
even when I'm feeling down
- someone I can be myself with
- someone who will stay with me at the lowest
point of my life and will make me stay at his lowest point as well
- at ang superficial lang is taller than me but
presentable naman sana for the sake of our future kids

I don't know if the man I'm with right now is
really the one from Him pero pasok sa banga lahat eh. Lalong lalo na yung first, third and yung good father kasi may kids na sya. Basta whoever God has in store for me, accept
lang, sya man or iba.

^so happy for you sis -- a good reminded for all of us that someone is out there na pasok sa standards natin without compromising our non-negotiables. Very important din saken that my partner loves his mom and his whole family kase iba talaga ang values kapag mom ang pinaguusapan.

Honestly i did not pray for my partner to be this and that. What i did pray for (and still praying for) was the guidance to be my best self everyday, that i be happy everyday, come whatever. So far nagwork naman. Everyday ganyan pa din mantra ko sa buhay. I'll be my best and life will give me what I deserve.

i am currently in a set up na medyo magulo pero kami naman. issue with my family. i am praying that he will always be faithful, loyal and honest to be, i also am praying that walang iba or wala siyang ginagawang ikakasama ng loob ko or ikakagalit ko and na wala siyang iba or maging iba.

everyday, i pray for him and na maayos na ang buhay namin para magkasama na kami ulit.

I specifically prayed for the traits I wanted in a partner.  I was in 4th year in HS when I started praying.  At that time, dismayado ako kasi lahat naaattract ko bad boys.  Every new church I visited, I always prayed.

Natatawa pa ako whenever I remember what I prayed for.   It was something like this... Lord sana mapapangasawa ko, Kind, Understanding, sige na nga.. Basta presentable kahit na hindi guwapo, ok na rin na hindi masyado currently mayaman, but someone who has the ability to provide me with at least the standard of living I'm used to. 

After three years, I met my hubby.  He fits the description to the T. Natatawa ako when I mentioned to him my prayer. He protested that na hindi siya presentable! Guwapo daw siya.

Inspiring stories mga sis. I'm also praying for partner in life. I know in God's time I'll find my match. Responsible, God-fearing person, the one who will take care of me and will never leave me. Also, for me, it's a big thing if my parents will approve him. I've had failed relationships before and somehow, I'm thinking why these things are happening. Now, I realized that I should be complete first. The lessons learned from past relationsips. I know, in God's time everything will just fall according to His plan.

i started praying for a partner in life when my ex-bf and i broke up. dati kasi pinagpepray ko lang na sana maranasan ko magka bf. kasi NBSB ako dati. then binigay nga NYA. naalala ko dati sabi nila pag nabuo mo daw ang simbang gabi yung wish mo matutupad. tapos kapag first time mo makapunta sa isang church pag nagwish ka, your wish will be granted. ginawa ko lahat ng yun. then binigay pa din NYA. i waited patiently. at ang binigay sakin ni God, higit pa sa inaasahan ko. i received more than what I deserve. binigyan Nya ako ng super bait, loyal, faithful, loving & guwapong husband.

kaya mga sis don't loose hope. darating din yun prince charming nyo in HIS perfect time. just keep on praying & asking. faith lang talaga mga sis. kung di pa sya dumadating, enjoy being single muna.

To everyone praying for a partner in life, don't lose hope. I myself came to the point of adopting a child so even if I don't have a lovelife, I will never be alone. But with continous prayers and novenas, I'm glad he came along. Now I am happily married with the man of my dreams.

Wow sis! I've been on this site for a long time and have read some of your posts in the past regarding your lovelife. I'm happy for you.

In God's time talaga, when it rains it pours.  When God decides to shower you with blessings, iba talaga.  I'm personally very happy na after all those years of praying and crying to have my life straightened out, I am now married to the best man in the world, and we are having a baby boy very soon.

Thanks for sharing the prayer.  Sali ako mga sis heheh. Actually na miss ko rin mag ka bf, yung love and affection. Mag 9 years na ko wala bf hahah but then siguro kaya tumagal na ganun dahil di ko na feel na I'm incomplete. Basta I believe na nandiyan lang siya and I' m just doing my assignments para ihanda sarili ko sa taong gusto ko.

Hi everyone 

Its my first time to post here but I'm glad I came across this forum and forum topic at such a time, when I'm looking for hope and reasons to keep the faith.  Thanks for sharing this prayer, I'll give it a try.

I'm nearing 28 and I have been praying for this for the longest time already. There are times that I start to lose hope. I tried asking for signs and praying novenas, but somehow wala pa rin. But I am really amazed with the experiences of people here writing down qualities of the man they want in their life and actually having that man. I haven't tried doing that but your posts in this forum inspired me. I guess I'll give it a try.

hubby prayed na bigyan siya ng makakasama/gf/wife.

hindi ako nagpray kasi akala ko i was called to be single. kahit na nung teenager ako yun ang naiisip ko. kasi diba sa catholic school they teach na 3 ang calling ng mga tao 1. religious, 2. married, or 3. single life. e wala nagkaka-crush sa akin, lagi akong one of the boys, kahit nung college ganun rin. so focus talaga ako sa sarili ko.

so nung time na nagpe-pray si hubby may napanaginipan siyang lugar and nung nagising siya dinrawing niya yun sa paper, iniisip niya kung saan yun.

na-meet ko siya nung 19 ako, 3rd year college at nung first time na sinundo niya ako sa school doon niya na realize na yung napanaginipan niya e school ko.

after 3 years, nagkahiwalay kami for 6 months kasi matigas ang ulo ko. nag-uusap kami pero hindi ko inisip na magkakabalikan kami. so as usual focus lang ako sa self ko (self improvements like exercise, 8+ hrs of sleep, next career goal, etc.)

ang ending nagkabalikan kami tapos after some time we decided to get married. habang tumatagal lalu ko na-realize na compatible kami at kung gaano kabuti siyang husband. syempre nagpapasalamat ako kay God na binigay niya si hubby sa akin. may nanghula nga before kay hubby nung single pa siya na swerte raw mapapangasawa niya, meaning swerte ako at nagpakasal ako sa kanya.

I had a non negotiable and negotiable list but i wasn't too serious about it, when i just remembered to pray it i prayed it. I was kind of making my heart rest pa from my past relationship 3 years ago, but i was really surprised a few months ago when God introduced me to someone who fit all as in all of my negotiables and about 70-80% of my non negotiables. I was left with awe...as in i never believed in love at first sight yung tipong nagstop yung world mo when i first saw him , as in the kuryente and all and heart beating 150 beats per second haha... I had this huge fear of giving birth and i wasn't sure of marriage and all until this person came. I envisioned a future with him corny as it may sound i saw our family. As in this person opened up my eyes that i wanna get married and have a family especially with him. Something happened i'm not sure he totally stopped communicating with me.

And so i had an urge to start na my novena for a good husband, this time serious na before kasi lagi ako napuputol....i started praying to the saints. St Joseph, St Philomena, St Jude, St Therese, Padre Pio...and then i stumbled on an ebook http://www.amazon.com/Prayers-For-My-Future-Husband/dp/1497488508.  ....ladies check this out super powerful ng prayers as in i get goosebumps when i read them aloud...it's like a 9 day novena and wholistic ang approach with asking for forgiveness and prayers for removing doubt and fear, patience and gratitude, breaking strongholds etc. it also encourages fasting to make our prayers more powerful. I didn't know included yun sa bible sorry. Inside also has a healing prayer when i recite it ii also dedicate it to those i've hurt in the past. And also it tells the cute lovestory of tobias and sara how St Raphael has helped them to meet....as in naiyak ako sa story nila....included din prayer to St Raphael.

I am so happy with this prayer book how it is starting to change my heart, and urges me talaga to pray for my future husband. Just want to share one of my prayers: Dear Lord, wherever my future husband is please bless him, take care of him and keep him healthy and safe and guide him to be the man and husband you want him to be and please guide me to be the woman and wife you want me to be. Please guard my heart and protect it and let it beat only for the one you've chosen for me and please guard and protect his heart and let it beat only for me. Please light our ways so that we may meet soon. Please direct him to me. I am so excited to meet him. And i mention again my non. Nego and negotiables. And i added my surrender prayer.

And thru my seeking God he has left me with this unexplainable hope in my heart for my future husband, making me want to continue to pray boldy for my future husband... Kapit lang sisses God will answer what we ask for lalo na we asked so he will answer and ang mas maganda pa in his best version
