^my main reason was I gave birth i took an unpaid leave for 1 month. but i decided to resign na kasi yayaless ako and i can't work on a fixed sched since i breastfeed my baby on demand.

re: cons of working for bizmates, nothing major naman based sa experience ko. siguro yung schedule lang din, since mas appealing sa akin ang flexi hours kapag work from home. although lahat naman yata ng online english school eh fixed ang sched.

Tried applying for Bizmates but unfortunately, I didn't make the cut. There are alot of reasons daw why I wasn't accepted. Huhu nagapply pa naman akonga extra broadband sa bahay. Sayang!

Usually for online teaching, English ang tinuturo sa mga non native speakers. For other fields, you can try freelance websites like upwork, guru, etc.

what's a good certificate to have for ESL teaching? These certificates aren't cheap, and can run from 10k - 20k. geez! online pa yun! And which ones are credible? I'd rather pass an IELTS exam

^ I passed Bizmates na sis. You can do it! Read lang carefully ano yung flow ng lesson.
Anyway, their mentoring session (or at least the one I got) is really good and detailed when pointing out my lapses. I postponed it pa dahil sa kaba. hahahaha

I just need to submit my last two requirements and I'm good.

Yes, I have applied at Bizmates 2nd week of August pa, and I haven't started pa until now.  But it's okay, the process seems very streamlined, I saw how booked their mentoring sessions were, and the final demo so... yeah. o_O

Sobrang bagal lang... hayy but it's okay.. I hope I get students soon. Okay naman diba ma.employ multiple ESL's basta different nationalities lang.

For those teaching online, have  you experienced any unexpected dropped calls while teaching?  I've already reported it to my ISP and it's under observation.  They're not sure if it's because of the broken undersea internet cable .  First time mangyari sa akin ito.  Fibr pa naman ang gamit ko.

Damn, fully booked ang Bizmates.. sabi pa naman ng video nga baka may langaw daw kase walang booking dahil newbie..

In fairness, first try ko (I opened 11 slots) assuming na I would get at least 20-50% booked, na.book lahat! ermygerd! It's a good problem, but not if it's your first time!! Lalo na if babae ka I think, usually yung mga nakita ko na.sad na walang students is yung mga lalake.. A lot of them prefer women.. And I'm so excited na I finally got my first female student! heeheh

Congrats! Ano yan sis, in one day 11 slots ang booked sayo? Super newbie kasi ako kaya nagopen ako ng slot days in advance and so far wala pang nagbobook sakin.. parang ayaw ko kasi na mabook ng same day, di ko pa napapagaralan yung lesson..
