  after resignation that means you're not tied up with any other companies.  Kasi very unfair for us if hindi na tayo pwede mag apply after mag resign.  Ano yun?  Retired na talaga from that field? 

My last one-on-one (Koreans, hindi online) the supervisors knew that some teachers were still affiliated with other online English schools but they are still hiring them on their free time.  Kasi puro kami part-time (this was last January).  They haven't told me that it wasn't allowed.  They just told the teachers not to encourage the students to enroll to the other schools that they were affiliated to.

I downloaded an app called PalFish T from the app store.  You can download it on your phone and then we can teach... DAW.  Just wanted to try it out.  (I was looking for Duolingo for my own kid and I found Palfish T from the list)

Re: 51Talk puro bad reviews nababasa ko dyan sa PinoyExchange forum. Puro deductions daw sila sa kita ng tutor.

^ sis I've been in the ESL industry for almost 8 years, ganyan talaga kalakaran deductions due to sound quality, failed internet, blackout, sickness, etc. Hindi uso ang awa lol. I've been to 3 schools na and the worst is Weblio, di sila flexible sa sched talaga, hirap magpababa ng cancel ratio (which seems to be like RareJob na nowadays). Anyway, scared ako sa Chinese market baka kasi mas pangit ang students as compared sa very nice Japanese people na may saltik rin yung mangilan-ngilan.

I tried Rarejob din sis.  Don't worry about them being Chinese.  They seem the same with Koreans and Japanese.  Respectful din. Siguro kelangan authoritative voice lang talaga.  LOL!  Kasi Kahit matanda kausap ko, they'll listen to you pa rin.  (Note: Ang ayaw ko lang sa Chinese company is dahil Chinese company sila.  Inaagawan kaya nila tayo ng territoryo LOL!) Kidding aside sis.  They're respectful and not scary.

Share ko lang case ko. I worked for RJ. Medyo mababa ang rate nila so I decided to find another online school.  I emailed RJ my resignation letter then within 24 hours I got a confirmation from them. They said that my last day of work with them was so and so.... Right after my last day sa RJ, I sent my resume immediately to another online english school  and got accepted. So now I'm working at a different company na.

It's not advisable kasi to work with two online english schools at the same time. Malalaman at malalaman din nila especially since pinopost ng mga companies yung mga profile ng trainers nila.  Nahuli ka na, baka mablacklist ka pa sa ibang companies. Mas lalo ka pang mahihirapan makahanap ng work. I believe you can work for two online companies at the same time just as long as it is not online english teaching din. It could be transcription or virtual assistant.

As long as you have officially resigned sa unang job mo, then there is no reason for you not to apply to another job. One year is too long. Everyone needs to work din naman. I understand your situation. Most online schools usually require their teachers/tutors/trainers who have online teaching experience to submit their letter of resignation from the previous school.

Good morning mga sis. Kumusta weekend?  Online again waiting for students but this time no definite possibility if magkaka-student ako today.  Using the app today.  I didn't open slots sa ABC360 today.  Gusto ko mag concentrate sa app muna.  Medyo na-to-toxic ako sa ABC360   pero since their admin is nice, I'll still open slots this week - maybe, Wednesday.

Hi sis! I failed my ABC demo medyo nanibago ako sa 17-minute class and, di man lang ako informed nor nagpanggap na beginner si interviewer so I thought intermediate na sya and the pace of my class was fast. Natapos ko in 7 minutes yung supposedly 15-minute class hehe. Anyway, tinry ko lang naman ulit if pang ESL talaga ako. Turns out not, so di na muna ako mag attempt.

Bale 51 minutes ang one hour pala dito sa ABC, as compared sa 25+25 ng ibang schools. 3 mins break lang din pala. Ibang iba sa nakasanayan.

Focus muna ako sa Upwork ko looks like I'll be leaving ESL for good na. Last chance ko na sa sarili ko itong ABC eh

Hi sis! I worked with Weblio and I must say hindi sya okay. Una sa lahat, 15% ang ikakaltas nilang tax sa iyo pag hindi mo napa stamp yung sa BIR na nirerequire nila. Pangalawa, laging negative or zero sweldo ko dun kasi every cancellation 50-60 pesos (ang laki) ng kaltas nila. Tapos yung ratio mo sa cancellation mahirap na pababain kasi ang formula ay cancellation vs open slots, hindi total slots. In order to get an increase rin, may requirement na N number of lessons na ioopen, plus total number of lessons and cancellation pa. Dati, N number of lessons lang tataas na rate, pero now may retaining factor pa sila or else bababa yung sweldo mo.

Hi sis, don't leave ESL for good. Dami pa naman sya.

Ako man nagpaalam muna ako sa ABC last night kasi dami ko inaasikaso ko these days.  And going out of the country on April.  So I can only afford to do PalFish since I cannot commit a fixed schedule for ABC.  But I'm not cutting ties with them yet.  I promised to go back back to work once I return.  Sana by that time, their website downloads fast

I'm curious about UpWork   I'll look it up.  Good luck to us sis(ses)

I'm new at Bizmates. I'd have to say sobrang strict nila sa recruitment, well at least yung mga na-assign saken for my demo. Pero they were all very nice and very systematic ang hiring process nila. Even the post-final demo process was very systematic, and prompt sila magrespond sa mga queries ng applicant.
