Guys, what can you recommend? Currently employed sa 51Talk pero medyo naaasar ako kasi ang sabi nila sa mga ads nila and sa orientation na FLEXIBLE working sched daw. Ikaw daw mamimili ng sched mo. However, eto employed nako, tas yun pala required na 50 slots (25 hours) ang i-open mo every cutoff. Hindi tatanggapin ng system nila kapag di ka nagplot ng 50 slots. Sabi nila for new teachers lang daw to. FOr 2 weeks. Pero nakalipas na ang 2 weeks, ganon pa rin. Nakakaasar diba? Tas tinatanong ko yung support kung bat ganon, kahit sila di nila masagot. Lagi lang ang explanation nila is "ganon daw kasi yung system." Paano naman kaming mga part-time tutors lang? Swerte ko lang ngayon kasi summer pa. Pero pano na pag may school na?

So anyway, sorry for the long post. Super annoying lang talaga. Pag di pa nagbago system nila, transfer nalang ako sa another company. Can you help me? HiTutor, Bibo, Rarejob, or Bizmates? RJ sana kaso mukhang saturated na masyado.

Try mo din RJ sis. Ako sinasabay ko yung RJ at HiTutor. Pag walang students sa HiTutor, nag re-RareJob ako. Hihi. I Pm-ed you din pala.

Hi! Anyone here na nagwwork sa Bibo or Bizmates? Wala kasi akong masyadong mahanap na reviews online. I'm looking for a company na walang required/minimum hours na kailangan mong magturo. Current company ko kasi requires 25 hours per cutoff, however, nammroblema ako kasi baka sa pasukan di ko kayanin. For part-time lang naman kasi 'to.

Hi ireneeey! I have been working for Bizmates for almost 2 years na. I'm a pioneer teacher dun. Merong required na minimum hours sa amin eh, at least 10 hours a week. Bahala ka na kung paano mo hahatiin yun per day basta ma-accumulate mo lang yung 10 hours. Kung gusto mo pa nga weekends lang kasi may morning at evening shifts naman.

Anyway, maganda sa amin. Pro-employee ang management at nakakabuhay talaga ang sweldo. Totoo yung per hour rate nakalagay sa recruitment site. Hindi naman ako tatagal dito sa company na to ng ganito katagal kung hindi talaga okay. In my six years in this industry, I would say na this is the best na napasukan ko. I hope this helps.

^You're welcome! By the way, mai-add ko lang po. Iba ang curriculum namin compared sa ibang esl companies. Usually grammar ang focus ng ibang companies, sa amin puro business topics so mejo nakaka-nosebleed kung walang background ng business course or experience sa corporate set up.

Homebased lang po sis.  Kaya nationwide may mga teachers kami, from Luzon to Mindanao.
Gusto kasi ng company namin na ma-reach yung mga tao na may good potential for teaching pero nasa malalayong areas. Kumbaga opportunity para sa lahat.

Well technically speaking, hindi yan ok. Breach of contract yan. They can file a lawsuit against you and make you pay a certain amount. But in reality, they won't go that far. The worse thing they can do is terminate you and you might not get your last pay or any backpay.

Conflict of interest yan eh so ayaw talaga ng lahat ng ESL companies. Uso kasi yung nag-i-spy. So if you do anything that will make them suspiscious of you, alanganin ka nun. If you can succeed in being discreet about it, then nasa sayo yan. Just make sure they won't find out.

In my case, may isa akong katrabaho na natangal dahil dyan. And trust me, it's something you really won't like to get into.
