we stayed at ohana during our recent visit. make sure na yung hotel nyo nadadaanan ng bus kasi mahal mag taxi. nung nag stay kasi kami dati sa days inn sa tamuning kaloka wala pala dumadaan dun, napilitan tuloy kami mag cab. buti na lang marami taxi drivers ay pinoy so kinaibigan namin. sarap mag shop sa gpo super mura.

What day usually start ang midnight sale Nila? Is it Wednesday midnight prior to thanksgiving days na Thursday and Friday? Or Thursday midnight going to Friday?

Yung Ross and Macy's nila, do they have large size clothes  for men? mga 3-4xl na American sizes just like mainland? TIA!

Tried booking at Outrigger, but there are no vacancies for my travel dates. Aling hotels ang magandang alternatives? Sana daanan ng buses at may malapit na food and/or shopping establishments. Will be staying only a few days for business, hindi vacation. Thanks

^ sis for shopping theres DFS, downtown Tumon is the tourist shopping hub. You can also go GPO or Macy's

You must see some of the beaches and hotel chapels; theyre gorgeous. A lot of Japanese couples are having their wedding there. If you must stay in a hotel, i suggest PIC, Outrigger or Hilton. Okay din yung Sheraton

For attractions you can go Underwaterworld, or Cocos Island.

Those are the places na alam ko lang hehe..

Shopping:
There's DFS in Tumon or GPO (Ross Dress for Less -- punta ka ng maaga dito kasi you'll spend hours going thru their stuff esp kung may bago stock sila)
Kmart - Wala naman masyado mabibili dito pero nakakaaliw din mag-ikot.

Food/Must See:
Niji @ Hyatt Hotel for yummy sushi.
Ban Thai - somewhere along Tumon (I think malapit sa Holiday Inn). I dont know if they still offer the lunch buffet (9.99usd) but if they do, try it kasi sulit naman and masarap
Proa (in between PIC and Hilton, medyo sikat na resto pero tuwing kakain ako dito laging salty nao-order ko. Kilala din sila for their desserts)
Chamorro Village (Wed nights only) - Food trip Mostly BBQ and you'll see some Filipino food there but you'll also get to taste some local dishes.
Rent a car even for just a day (around 40usd for a compact car plus gas) para makapag-round the island (should only take you about 3-4 hrs)

Thinking of going to Guam in time for thanksgiving. Ilang days kaya enough dun - usual sightseeing, shopping and chillax. Would 5-7 days be enough? Or too short/long? Dapat kasi sa mainland kami, kaya lang nakakaalangan kasi max 10days lang kami pwede leave, super-tight if mag-mainland kami, dami din kasi relatives dun na kelangan kitain..

^ imo, 5-7 days is too long, sis, you might get bored after the 3rd day unless you're into some hardcore water sports. Liit lang guam tapos konti lang major sights and malls.

^ yep i think 3 or 4 nights will do for most folks. kasya na one day to see the sights and one day for shopping. kung mainly for relaxation i guess guam is a good place to stay even for long periods. although for pure r&r i'd rather go to an isolated resort sa atin, mas maganda na, mas mura pa. between the US islands, hawaii has more to offer.

Hi sis! If i may san sa mainland if ever? I did not enjoy Guam very much kasi, but this is mostly because I'm not into beaches too much lang talaga. Pero if you like beaches and are going to guam for that, agree with summersong that hawaii is better especially if you have the finances for it naman since malaki din ang difference kahit cost of living mas mura sa guam.
Kung mainland naman i think if you're going sa East coast ok na din naman ang 8 days kaso nga lang medyo sayang na hindi ka makaka ikot ikot sa ibang state considering the airfare if ever.

^ sis, di na kami matuloy mag-Guam kasi we learned ng Oct na pregnant ako and hubby didn't want to travel during first tri (although me go signal naman ni OB). So this month na lang kami mag-US (mainland) for 16days.

I want to go to Guam naman sana to shop, to check out the beaches, tsaka dahil malapit lang sa atin. Kapagod din kasi long-haul flights. Hehe..

been reading the posts ... which hotel is better .. fiesta or outrigger? nadadaanan ba ng bus routes ito? am booking for a couple and her sister ... dont know much about guam kasi .. thanks!
