^Naku sis, rice is not beneficial for dogs at all-- wala silang nakukuhang nutrients sa rice apart from carbs which they dont really need. Dogs need protein and fats only, I believe yun lang ang essential sa diet nya. Kaya mapapansin nyo pag rice ang kinakain super dami ng poop nya whereas pag high quality dogfood, konti lang ang poop. Thats how you can measure which food ang hiyang sa kanya, dapat konti lang ang poop at di hirap sa pagpoop. Pag super dami ng poop that means wasted lang yung dogfood dahil di naabsorb ng body ng dog.

Yung youngest ko is yoghurt which is 1.5 years old and she almost died nung pinanganak dahil napabayaan nung nag-aalaga sa bahay ng in laws ko, naginawan sila kaya yung 3 kapatid nya namatay 2 days old pa lang. I adopted her since she was 3 DAYS old pa lang and raised her without her mom kasi nagka-sourmilk na yung mama nya. Even the vet at Animal House thought lost case na si Yoghurt kasi halos bluish na sha nung binigay sa ken, mukhang daga na puti na bluish--sabi ng doctor mukhang mamamatay na daw talaga.
I did some research the night I got her and fed her home-made puppy milk which I mixed from evap milk, eggyolks, karo syrup and yoghurt (kaya name nya yoghurt). I fed her 6x per day with this formula for 1 month and kept her under heating lamp hanggang kaya na nya magsolid food and thankfully she thrived and she is so beautiful now kasi cream chow sha.
Late nagopen eyes nya kasi nga hindi mom's milk ang ininom, so nung 2nd month wala pa din sha nakikita I bought her Promil Gold with Lutein and within 1 week, nakakita na sha! Kala namin bulag sha. Kaya I believe in Promil Gold talaga hehe
Now, I feed her Eukanuba puppy miski adult na pero 2 cups a day lang tapos I mix 2 tablespoons of Nido milk and VCO and this keeps her healthy and her fur thick and shiny. She does not have any doggy smell as in pati laway nya mabango hehe
Minsan I mix Gerber FISH AND CARROT flakes sa food nya and it keeps her coat color rich and healthy-looking. Contrary to popular belief, fish is not bad for the coat. In fact most skin & coat supplements have Omega 3 and 6 na galing sa fish to keep the coat thick and healthy.
If you noticed, if you eat salmon straight for 1 week, you will have glowing smooth and supple skin. That's because it is rich in Omega 3 & 6.
What's bad for the dog's skin is chicken-
Maarte si Yoghurt sa toilet habits, she never poops nor pees sa cage miski may catch tray naman. She cries a certain way pag kailangan nya mag CR and she poops and peeps outside the cage lang. The maid knows when to let her out. Her cage talaga is never madumi, i dont know where she learned that behaviour though.
This summer she underwent major shedding, as in clumps of hair natatanggal pero babalik din naman yun. Whats important is hindi sila nangangati at walang mga sugat sugat or hotspots sa katawan.
If ever may hotspot sila, dab a cottonball with AP-AP SOLUTION sa hotspot and in 2 days tanggal na yan.
She has a small fan na 24 hours nakatapat sa kanya, as in yung smallest electric fan and its enough to keep her cool even sa summer. I also keep 2 big bowls filled with water sa cage nya para plenty of water lagi at baka maheat stroke. Lakas sha sa water sobra.
My other chows are 5 and 6 years old na kaya marurunong na talaga and sanay na sa environmental factors di na sila gaano apektado ng hotspots and such. Pagala gala na lang sa garden lagi saka magaling talaga pumatay ng daga and cats
