Hi po.. may alam kau san nakakabili nung parang stand or holder ng cross stitch para hindi mahirap hawakan? I have [textspeak!] regukar hoops pero ibig sabihin hawak mo parin [textspeak!] fabric with one hand. Nice sana [textspeak!] parang sa US na lap frames. Wala kasi ako makita dito satin sa pinas. TIA.

Namimiss ko mag-cross stitch. >__< Natuto ako in my elementary days because of my mom. All our displays in our house are her masterpiece! so proud daughter here! :">

I also cross-stitch-ed during my college/pre-med days. I had 3 masterpieces displayed at home. After more than 10 years of hiatus, I went back to cross-stitching. The pattern I'm working on is a Fernando Amorsolo-inspired painting (Sunset-Return of the Fisherman) & wala pa ako sa kalagitnaan. Hehe! It's my delayed wedding gift to my husband. We'll display it here at home kapag natapos ko na (& of course, naka-frame na).

Regarding scroll frames and lap frames, you can buy wooden scroll frames sa DMC megamall and sa Manings in Cubao Farmer's. But mas popular ngayon is q-snaps. They are plastic frames na super tight talaga without damaging your fabric. You can buy them in the US. Some stores ship internationally. ( medyo matagal ang paghihintay) or you can order from a LGKcrafts on Facebook. Same siya sa Elhandicrafts Nsupplies. just search on FB. She is from Angeles and she gets cross stitch stuff from the US. Pero meron din siya local patterns, DMC and kung [textspeak!]-ano pa. Mura DMC sa kanya. Ask her if she has q-snaps' scroll frames or lap frames. I myself use q snaps and I also have a wooden floor stand. Meron nga pala local version ng q-snaps from Heavenly stitchin'.. Just ask the sales clerks.

Kahit saan lugar, pwede mo siya ilagay (haus, office, clinic, etc.) kasi maganda yung painting and nakakarelax. Tiyagaan talaga kasi ang daming threads, at malaki siya. I started last week of March pa, natigil due to wedding-honeymoon then paglilipat. Last month yata ko sinimulan karir-in ulit. Yung ibang DMC threads ko nauubos na. Haha!

anong size qsnaps mo sis? iniisip ko nga kung bibili ako nun. yung mga cross stitch na gingagawa ko kasi mostly mirabilia patterns, e madalas umaabot 20 inches plus yun width. sabi nila, walang crease masyado sa fabric kapag qsnaps, pero after mo matapos yun pattern, do you still iron yung finished product before giving it sa framer?

since 2009, scroll frame pala ako.. kaso ni-DIY lang ng tatay ko yun using PVC pipes. namamahalan kasi ako dati sa mga binebenta na scroll frame.  e ngayon, mukhang gusto na mag-retire ng scroll frame ko.

Sa Quiapo meron sa may Villalobos St. malapit sa Wellmansons, Manila Lace yata name nung store. Dun din kasi ako bumibili ng crochet threads at yarns ko eh kasi mura. Sa front nung store madaming cross stitch patterns at kumpleto DMC nila.

Sa Divisoria, sa Tabora St. hile-hilera yung stores na nagtitinda ng mga embroidery floss.
