Sis **MSN**, sorry I was referring to your OB I went to Doha Clinic and blockbuster din si Dra. Maha. As in last Sat, 4pm kami kumuha ng number and I was 58, grabe 9pm na kami nagkita ni doc kasi there was 30 pax waiting before me... In fairness she seemed very good naman. She wants me to re-take the blood test for my hypothyroid para tamang dosage daw ng gamot ang ma-take ko.

ask ko lang kung merong may feedback about HMC's eye center or if guys know any ophthalmologist spcializing in keratoconus. 

I recently had my eyes screened kase for lasik, both in Asian Eye and in American Eye Ctr sa Manila, and both tests had the same result, na I have this condition called Ketatoconus where the cornea (which is normally shaped like dome di ba to follow the shape of the eye) sags downwards kaya parang nagiging cone shaped sa side view... so di  ako pwede magpa laser surgery coz my upper cornea is already thin... anyway, the sad thing is that it progresses...so kailangan lagyan ako ng hard lenses or some UV drops yta...  i want to know if those treatments are being done here baka mas mura, or baka there are other options... hassle talaga  kala ko high astigmatism lang ako, hindi pala...

meron na bang nagpatingin sa inyo ng mata sa HMC or sa ibang private clinics dito?  feedback naman pls salamat!

I’m perfectly fine Sis, thank you. I haven’t had the chance to see any OB yet in HMC. I’m doing my usual prenatal check @ Al Ahli. But hopefully within this month, I may open a file in Women’s Hospital. I had no idea kung sino magaling na OB Gyne sa HMC. Some of my friends/colleagues confessed that in HMC you won’t have a dedicated OB Gyne. During the monthly prenatal check up, for sure you’ll meet your preferred OB. But during the actual delivery, whoever is “on duty” at Women’s Hospital will be the one in charge of your delivery. They need not to call your “preferred OB Gyne”. But in any case, my options are still open hence it’ll be either Al Ahli or HMC (Women’s Hospital).

Siyangapala, it was confirmed in HMC that I do not have a “hyperthyroidism”, that means mali ang diagnosis nung Internist Doctor from Al Ahli. Kaya nga sobrang happy ako & my family, nothing to worry about *wink*

finally, i am now here in Qatar... and now am starting to look for an accommodation na pede ang family kasi balak ko papuntahin dito ang mag-ama ko as soon na makuha ko yung residence permit ko... Anyone knows a good family accommodation in Al Sadd which is reasonable... I want this place kasi accessible sa lahat and most important is malapit yata ito sa PSD...

One more thing, nag accept ba ang PSD ng transferee by July or Aug?

Since this Montessori is quite new, all of their amenities are really brand new. My son is the only child in the family (as of now) and in our flat hence enrolling him in YAM really makes a lot of pros on his part. He became more sociable, loves singing (kahit hindi namin maintindihan ang lyrics), can count 1 to 20, memorized the alphabet from A to Z. The primer questions such as – What’s your name? How old are you? What’s the name of your dad/mom? He was able to reply back in English. The sad part lang is the diction or accent, it’s not that of a British or American ‘coz YAM is mainly run by a Filipino staff. He was able now to understand & communicate in our native toungue and in English. The disadvantage though is nahawa ang anak ko ng HFMD sa YAM & the school doesn’t have the empathy of checking who’s completely well or who’s fairly ill? They have allowed somebody to go inside the vicinity of the school even the HFMD is still for sure within the incubation period. When they knew that my son has been admitted in a hospital because of HFMD and was just recently been well, what they did is to isolate him from the rest. And you wouldn’t know how we really feel at that time as parents.

Before the headcount of the student was barely 25 now it’s up to almost 60+. Yet the number of staff remains the same…

Now that MIL is here, we opted to stop to send him to YAM.

How much sis ang bayad sa YAM and how old ang tinatangap nila?

@Sis marssie, we paid QAR 1,440 upon enrollment. The said amount includes his daily diary, uniform, etc. The monthly dues depend on the longevity of your son's daily stay in YAM. As for my son's case, we are paying QAR 770 for 9 hour period (7 am to 4 pm) and I think that's the maximum hour or payment YAM has. If your son/daughter stay will be shorter than that then the amount will be lesser.

YAM has three age categories or groups:

1. Group 1 year old to 3 years old (Pre Casa)
2. Group 3 years old to 4 years old (Junior Casa)
2. Group 4 years old to 5 years old (Senior Casa)

Try to search online re YAM but I do hope that the information I gave you suffices.

Okay din pala, mas cheaper compared sa pinapasukan ng baby ko.. 1300 per month kasi siya 7 to 3:30 kaso advantage namin is kasama namin sa bahay duon nagwowork kaya kampante kami kasi may tumitingin sa son ko at kasabay nya na rin pumasok at umuwi.. same rin lang sila sa YAM pero mukhang mas maraming pinay sa YAM?

I have tried FMC, okay yung Veronica pero yung pang Pedia, kaso nakukulangan ako kasi di siya masyado nagbibigay ng details kung di ka nagtatanong at parang laging nagmamadali..  (sorry sa mga me gusto sa kanya). Kung di ko pa sasabihing me ubo din anak ko di niya titignan chest..

Sa Abu bhakir clinic naman, okay yung Pinay kaso ang hirap hagilapin schedule niya kasi laging pang umaga.

Sa QMC - nakaleave kasi yung doctor wala na daw sila ibang Pinoy na doctor.

Baka may iba kayong kilala na talagang trusted niyo..

@ Sis marssie, try mo Apollo Clinic along Muntazah. May Pinay na GP doctor din doon, hindi siya talaga pedia.

May mga magagaling rin namang Pedia dito na ibang lahi. Like sa Al Ahli si Dr. Samer then meron din sa Doha Clinic. Nakalimutan ko name pero super blockbuster din ang pila sa kanya.

Sakitin din kasi ang baby ko kaya halos nalibot na namin ang mga Pedia Doctors dito. Sayang wala si Dra. Pulvera, okay sana siya. Iyong sa FMC, medyo hindi nga magaling.

Now, stick na lang ako sa Al Ahli, once kasi makita ng baby ko iyong doctor, wala na siyang fear unlike sa iba na makita lang eh super cry na talaga ang anak ko.

^Oo nga sis eh, okay sana yung yung Veronica sa FMC kaso di siya tumatangap daw ng mga bata kasi GP siya at lalo na at lagi niya kasabay sched yung pedia na pinay din.

Pansin ko lang ang mga gamot sa FMC usually made in saudi.. unlike sa Doha Clinic.

Try to look for Al Sadd Exchange. It’s within Al Sadd Area & just opposite Qtel Al Sadd and malapit rin sa Opera Cake House.
