pero the 6-month bank statement is a Must? so after 6 months plus pa kami makasunod no? haay. Back to LDR. i am not so thrilled about the idea.

pwede din ba na mag-visit visa ako (since less requirements ito) and then from there eh hanap ako work tapos bitbit na mga babies namin? Meaning, visit visa ipa-convert na lang sa residence once we are there?

kung tourist visa po ang tinutukoy nyo hindi po ito pwede iconvert to working permit and it is usually only good for 30days and not extendable or renewable.

My suggestion is kung hubby may valid residence permit na siya at 7000qar ang salary nya, then apply for a FAMILY VISIT VISA. This is different from a tourist visa kasi this will allow you to stay for 6 months, if I'm not mistaken. During that time pwede na ayusin yung husband sponsorship nyo and you can also look for work.

Take note lang po, when you have husbands visa na, may bagong rule din na kailangan bigyan kayo ni hubby ng no objection to work at dapat magapply din sa labor department ng work permit.

welcome to doha, sis!  For cargo to Manila, I use Shaher Cargo.  Air Freight takes about 5 days and it's just QR7 per kilo.  Minimum to send is 15 kilos.  For Sea Freight it takes about a month and i think it's about QR250+ for a big box and a small box combined.  Door to Door so they will also bring the box to you, just call them My contact there is Jason - Mob 5828746

Hi GTers in Qatar!

Our office will be moving from Bahrain to Qatar by March 2010, I just want to ask your good opinion, comments and suggestions for the following:

1.  How much do I need to ask for salary adjustment, average salary for SAP Officer cum Executive Secretary to GM?

2.  Magkano ang cost of living dyan, If with transpo & accommodation from employer?

3.  Mahirap ba kumuha ng driver's license ang ladies dyan?

4.  Last but not the least and most important thing I want to know is pede ko ba i-apply ng family visa ang husband and daughter ko?  How long do I need to wait and what are the procedures and requirements?

I hope to hear an answer to our GT sisses... TIA

happee mamee - why do you need a 6 months bank statement? nun pumunta kami dito ng 2 kids ko, 3 months pa lang si hubby nun nakuha nya kami at wala kaming bank statement na ipinakita.

depende sis yan sa company ng hubby, minsan kasi yung company na mismo nag-aayos ng visa ng family ni hubby. Pag ganun di na kelangan ng bank statement, parang company na yung nag-gaguarantee na kaya ni hubby issuport ang family nya. parang sa min, nakasunod agad kami dito sa qatar after one month na dumating si hubby dito, si company din kasi nag-ayos ng lahat.

transpo pwede na 500 and above,

3.  Mahirap ba kumuha ng driver's license ang ladies dyan?

kung galing kang bahrain at meron ka ng driving license dyan, baka madali na lang iconvert sa qatar driving license yan?
madali na lang ngayon ang mga driving test, 1 parking test at isang road test.
kung di ka pa nagda drive, mag eenroll ka sa driving school for 40 days full course of 25 days half course, (1 hr a day)meron na rin automatic cars ginagamit sa driving lessons only for females


4.  Last but not the least and most important thing I want to know is pede ko ba i-apply ng family visa ang husband and daughter ko?  How long do I need to wait and what are the procedures and requirements?

pwede mo i family visit muna si husband and daughter, na eextend yan ng up to 6 months.
then pag nakahanap na ng work si husband pwede na nyang ma sponsoran ang daughter nyo to have a residence permit dito.

i hope nabigyan kita ng idea.

Ilang kilos ba ang allowed na baggage sa Qatar Airways? Ang naka-indicate kasi sa ticket ko is 20kg pero marami nagsasabi na hanggang 30kg daw.

^^Need pa ang visa, pwede ka kumuha ng visa sa agency or like yung experienced ng kasamahan ni hubby, engineer siya pagdating niya sa Dubai bumili lang siya ng visa worth 100dirhams, then nakapag spend na sila ng one week sa dubai

Help!! Baka may nakaexperience na nito...

2005 ako nagkaroon ng passport then i got married last 2006 and then inammend lang ng Phil Consulate ng Dubai ang passport ko to read my name ng may apelyido nga ni hubby.  Nung dumating ako sa Qatar at nagkaroon ng Residence Visa, isinulat nila na name ko is name ko nung dalaga pa, kasi di ba di nila pinapansin ang ammendments basta kung ano nakasulat sa first page ng passport mo yun na ang pangalan mo.

Problem ko, nasa pinas ako now at magrerenew sana ng passport, kaso kung gagamitin ko na yung surname ni hubby, di kaya ako magkaroon ng problem sa immigration pagbalik ko ng Qatar kung nasa ibang passport (old) ang visa ko tapos sa New Passport eh iba na ang surname ko at di na RIN kapareho ng nakalagay sa visa ko?
