^sure sis, sa calicanto lang naman ako, puede na tayo EB sa SM, un na lang naman maayos na mall don, kesa naman sa bay mall hehe. sis alam mo ba departure procedure pauwi ng pinas galing dito sa doha airport? may kailangan ba kong bayaran? may travel tax at terminal fee na naman ba na babayaran?

1. As much as possible make sure that you meet the allowed baggage limit.
2. Check in at least 2 hours in advance prior to the time of your flight. If you intend to do shopping at Qatar Duty Free or exchange your Qatari Riyals to US Dollars it is much better to allot spare time for those activities. Take note, there are only less traveler during weekdays and more during weekends.
3. When you go to the airport, find the screening area (aka Xray machine). This is an SOP and it applies to all airports.
4. After the screening area then comes the check in area.
5. You have to find and go to the counter of your choice airline carrier (Emirates, Qatar Airways, Gulf Air, etc) & its class (economy, business or first class). This procedure is called “check in” where you will check in your box/baggage/luggage (45 kilos maximum). It is not allowed to have just one box or baggage or luggage weighing 45 kilos. The maximum allowed per box or luggage or baggage is only 30 kilos. It is also during this period that the counter will ask for your passport, ticket & privilege club (if any). Make these documents easy to grab or locate at all time. What should only be left here are your hand carry & the required documents.
6. Head towards the Immigration Area. They will ask for an exit permit (mandatory) from your sponsor. The Immigration officer will stamp your passport.
7. Check your boarding ticket. It should enlist the gate number you have to go to after done with the immigration.
8. Go to the boarding gate and wait for the bus to pick you up.
9. The bus will transport you from the boarding gate to the airplane itself.
10. When you are inside the airplane, search for your seat number (also listed on your boarding ticket).
11. Then it’s time to bid goodbye Qatar…


There are no fees to be collected at DIA unless you are over baggage regardless of what visa type you’re holding.

ask ko lang if may driving school ba na may pick up and and drop off? next month kasi plan ko pumasok sa al rayah daw meron pero im not sure pa hindi kasi malinaw kausap yung mga tao sa telepono..

try to inquire at Karwa. alam ko meron sila pick up & drop off. pag pauwi din dami silang taxi sa loob so assured ka na ng transpo pauwi.

@marssie: sis what airline? ikaw ba gagamit ng dummy ticket? why not book for a 2 way, kung makakuha ka na ng resident permit dito pwede mo naman ipa resched na lang yung ticket pauwi ng Pinas.

^hi sis, yup para samin sana ng baby ko. mas cheaper ba kung two way ticket ang kukunin? kasi naexperience namin sa qatar airways, lagi nalang may penalty pag nagchachange ng schedule, 30dollars yun.. 

ang alam ko kasi na murang ticket pag doha-manila kesa sa manila-doha.

^thank you my sweet november, di ko na po ba kailangan ng exit permit? kasi resident visa na hawak ko under my husband's sponsorship.

No need na yata ng exit permit if you're under husband sponsorship. Kasi iyong anak ko umuwi with my MIL last Feb 2009 and hindi naman nag-issue ng exit permit si hubby. Pina confirm ko nga rin sa asawa ko sa mandoof nila pero hindi na nga kailangan.

I would suggest na ipa confirm mo sa mandoof ng habibi mo to be on  a safer side and to have a hassle free trip.

Are you leaving with your husband or just you alone?

The first EB was held last April 2009 & only few have attended. Hence, as instructed by the EB organizer herself – Sis Kai (as of now, her internet connection is down), you are all cordially invited to the Grand Eyeball of Girltakers/Guytalkers – Qatar Chapter Round 2.

When: Suggested date is either 12 or 13 June 2009 (in juncture of the Philippines’ Independence Day)

Time: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Venue: majority wins (still TBD)

Kindly respond by sending me a PM on or before 6th of June 2009 so we could collaborate & summarize all your feedbacks.

^^ sis kai_star di ba nakauwi ka na sa pinas na may family visa? ask ko lang sis kung kailangan pa ba ng exit permit pag ganun? pabalik na kasi ako sa pinas sa june 13 kaya ayun, di na naman makaka abot sa EB ninyo. pasukan na kasi, tinatapos ko pa studies ko.
