Surfing!

wow super ok sana magsurfing! just got back from san juan la union. kaso grabe ang laos ko! di ako makatayo sa board! as in di ko man lang na-attempt na makatayo, nakadapa lang ako pag andyan na yung waves. hehe! it helps a lot if you are fit. anyway, the lesson is 400 per hour, instructor and board included. yung instructor kasama mo mismo sa water, as in tutok sayo. after an hour pwedeng i-rent mo na lang yung board for 200 per hour or meron silang half day rate na 500 from 12 noon to 5pm. mas tipid. i swear mauulit to, di ako papayag na di ako makakatayo sa surf board!

^ Upper body strength helps a lot.

Yun nga ang hiniling ko sa personal trainer ko sa gym--to develop my upper body strength. Makakatulong talaga yun sa pagtayo sa board hehe.

^develop your core muscles sis. it also helps in balancing i find this more helpful aside from the right positioning of the feet sa board din. when i found out about this ayun nakatayo na ako

siguro for starters ok na sa Club Manila East. 1500 ang bayad for 2 hours. Gusto kong itry kaso di pa ganun kaganda katawan ko eh. Di pa pang surfer ang itsura

^ you dont need to have a great body for surfing. basta maka-paddle ka at makatayo,and you know how to handle yourself in the water.. it doesn't matter if you're fat or thin. hahaha!
mahal naman sa CME, although if you don't want to get hurt and you have loads of cash then yeah,start there.

^bro kahit hindi naman naka-rash guard ok lang. kahit topless ka muna (for guys ha). hehe. or kahit naka-sando. ok lang naman. sa la union naman di naka-rash guard yung ibang surfers. oks lang! try mo na! practice muna sa CME then kung nakakatayo ka na, go na sa la union! hehe!

i miss surfing. i learned this sport in Siargao. grabe mga pro pa nagturo sa akin dun pero libre kasi off peak yun, i just rented the board. negra ako after that summer. kakahiya nung first time ko kasi wipe out kaagad ang liit lang ng waves. kahit super sugatan ako nahiwa sa fins or sa dead corals, happy pa rin. i'm learning this for the love it. sarap talaga pag nakatayo ka na sa board. mas lalo na if you can goofy ride na.

my fiance used to tell me nung una daw kami nagkita.. sa kama.. gandang-ganda daw siya sa abs ko d siya makapaniwala nagsurf ako dati. d ko naman alam na may abs na pala ako nun. hehe

sa quezon, meron ba dun nagpaparent ng boards and where in quezon? were planning to go there sana but i'm not so familiar with the place din kasi...

yes sis sa Real, quezon merong nagpaparent ng boards dun (although lahat soft boards) and nagtuturo-but i think mas mahal ang singil nila sa pagtuturo kasi they are "trained and certified" in australia... yung PSA ang contactin mo,si paolo soler.. IM me if you want to get their number.

they also organize trips to real, so if you don't have transpo i'm sure they can help you. But again, medyo mas mahal ang singil nila compared to a "do-it-yourself" trip.

for beginners,there are several places you can check out.. if you don't want to go to the ocean go to Club manila east in taytay.they have a wavepool but medyo pricey ang singil nila. I think around 1500 for a 2 hour session.

If you want to start in the real world..hehe pinakamalapit na ang Zambales-but walang swell dun pag walang Low pressure area or bagyo, so chambahan din. you can go to crystal beach or Pundaquit. may mga nagpaparent ng boards and mga teacher na din.

San Juan, La union i think has the most consistent waves for beginners. Marami na din dun nagtuturo and nagpaparent ng boards.

Baler, Aurora is reallly far and if you don't like long and bouncy roadtrips maiimbyerna ka lang. hahaha! nice long beach and the friendliest locals.
