Update sa son ko. He just finished his Junior year sa isang regular progressive school! We couldn't be more happier. He is very verbal na and he can understand what you are telling him. He is still doing ABA Therapy which I highly recommend and OT once a week. He started ABA when he was 1.7 years old and he is now 3 years and 11 months. Sobrang laki na ng improvement ng son ko and he knows how to parallel play na with other kids. Heck, he already has a bestfriend!

My son just started his OT. He cries every session. 3 sessions to be exact.
I hope he will stop crying soon.. it breaks my heart

Ako naman I Was hoping na mag improve na si LO, he's been doing OT sessions sa Core skills for 6 months pero we see no improvements. Even his therapist says na wala ngang improvement. I don't want to use the word worst pero walang improvement this is really painful for me and hubby. We're expecting another baby, sana this could help our Kuya to improve. He's more on a behavioral issues, rather than speech. So pray na lang kami na maging better sya. Ilipat namin sya ng school baka sakaling mag improve.. I really hope maging okay sya..

Mom ko nakausap ko na and she's really doing a great job na kung anong sabihin ng therapist ni Lo dapat ganon kaming LAHAT sa kanya. though minsan lang din namin nagagawa yung mga activities na sinuggest ng therapist nya. ginawa ng twice a week yung OT session nya hopeful there will be positive feedback for the next couple of weeks from his teacher.

Hi sis! He goes to PCDP in Kapitolyo pero home session sya. Andun lang kami every Saturday.

Yes sis, you have to be consistent talaga. Sad to say pero nakakaaway ko lola at mommy ko dati when my son was just starting his therapy. Good thing naiintindihan naman nila and sabi nga nila, anak ko daw yun kaya ako ang masusunod. Talk to them. Ako kasi sinabi ko dito sa bahay na gusto ba nila na malaki na yung son ko pero ang behavior at utak ay pang 3 years old? Kaya ba nila alagaan yun pag wala ako? Ayun, I think that hit them and talagang strict sila sa son ko.

Ngayon nga kailangan namin mag introduce ng ibang food sa son ko. Picky eater kasi. Yung lola ko talaga kahit umiiyak na son ko, he has to feed him. At least dapat maka 6 "subo" sya or else walang playtime. It worked naman. Nanghihingi na ang son ko ng rice ngayon pag hungry sya. hehe

Question: May bayad ba talaga pag nagrequest ng progress report? I was under the impression that therapists were to give regular (lets say 1-2x quarterly) written report/s para maisubmit sa follow up check up sa dev ped but I didn't think na hiwalay pa ang bayad nun bukod sa regular therapy sessions. Please share your experience.

There are Private OT's na may Home service. My prof kasi she is also practicing pa while teaching nag hohomeservice siya . Pati Sunday nga meron siya. I think [textspeak!] mga patients niya yun noong nasa center pa siya.

hi sis, may naisip ka na bang school for your child pag dating ng grade school? madami kasi akong nakikitang progressive school for pre-school pero wala ako masyadong alam na gradeschool.

@lilsaintsm0m, anong area naghome service prof mo? baka meron sa inyong may kilala nag home service, OT and ST in Alabang area. once a week palang kasi nagspeech therapy son ko and gusto ko sana dagdagan. Gusto ko nga sana ilipat ng Communicare anak ko kaya lang hassle naman para samin pumunta ng BF, traffic na wala pa kaming car sticker dun.

@nixmusic: all reports (eval, progress, re-eval, school visit, PTC, etc.) hiwalay ang bayad. these are requested by doctors so depending sa frequency ng check up mo sa dev ped din ang frequency ng pag hingi mo ng reports. out of my patients dalawa lang ang nanghihingi ng reports regularly. the rest hindi na nagpapagawa kasi hindi din nagpapacheck up or hindi na din nirerequest ng dev ped. if you want to know yung progress ng child, you can always ask the therapist during feedback or read the communication notebook.

Yung ABA therapy ng son ko may journal sila then every session may log dun. Tapos if may DevPed visit, I just inform them. Kasi kailangan naman talaga yun ng devped eh. Wala yung bayad whatsoever. Yung sa OT ng son ko, may bayad. Iniisip ko nga din na bakit may bayad? I mean, diba that is expected naman from them to give a progress report sa mga doctors?

Thanks sa feedback mga sis. Sabi ng secretary ng dev ped namin pwedeng yung notebook/journal na lang daw muna dalhin namin and to follow na lang yung report. Sayang din kasi twice the cost pag pina rush namin yung report sa OT.

Sis, kakaumpisa pa lang ng therapy ng kid, usually sa center kasi meron silang facilities and equipment for activities like gross motor skills. Kasi dati yung son ko, tulak dito, tulak dun. Ngayon kasi 4 years old na sya, more on parang nag uusap sila then hindi na more on motor skills ang task nya. Last year lang kami nag home session, after 2 years sa center. Pag home therapy ng son ko, nasa sala lang sila. Mas gusto ko kasi yun para tingan ma tolerate din ng son ko ang distractions. Dati kasi sobrang madali nya ma distract pero ngayon hindi na, nasanay na sya. Pero kung may room ka to spare, mas okay.
