hello gt! hello fellow momsies,,

i was very active last year in this topic.... hehe naghahanap pa ko ng therapy center nun for my son. thankful ako sa mga momsies dito that gave time to answer my queries and sa mga members na nagrecommend or nagbigay ng feedback.

now its my turn to recommend a center. if you're within QC specifically cubao/proj 4/katipunan/sikatuna area I recommend Healing Touch. almost 1 yr na kami sa kanila. my son is taking up ST sessions there and im very satisfied with the outcome/result.  my son attends regular class though so parehas malaking bagay yun. ang kinatutuwa ko talaga, my son was advised to take 2x or 3x a week ST but unfortunately due to budget constraints we can only afford 1x a week pero ang result maganda.

we'll try to make it 2x a week this year para lalo mas mabilis ang improvement kasi 5yrs old na sya ngayon.

btw, they have OT, writing, tutorial, and swimming lessons too....

My son's dev pedia is Dr Planta. You can schedule assessment with him at Word Citi Anonas TTH and MedMom Fun Ranch MWFS. His rate is 2.5k,,,,,ewan ko ngaun kung ganun pa rin sya

My son is currently attending Bright Beginnings Therapy in Marikina for Speech and Language therapy with T. KC..  We had him check with the Dev ped when he was 2.4 yo because I was worried that he was just uttering one syllable words. We started 3 months ago with once a week sessions with her and 2 months ago with an intern and super bilis ng development of my son and now he is so daldal na. She also helps him improve his socialization skills by making him mingle with the other kids .

While I could wish for better looking and newer facilities,  I couldn't complain on how much my son has developed which is more important. The SP fee is at P550 per hour.

Do they require advance payment for the next session?
How about the absences?

^ We pay after each session.  Walang advance
payments.
If your child cannot attend the session, you have to notify the center 24 hours prior to the session.  Otherwise, you will still pay for the session fee.

We might look for another center, my kid's TC requires advance payment what irritates me is they impelemented it immediatedly prior to that they just had their increased last month and re absences we should inform them 2 weeks before the scheduled activity, calamities (of course), death of the immediate family (1st deg only.) Medical Certificate and even for the follow up check up to the DP 2 weeks before and we have to secure a report.  Beyond that, everything is unexcused and will be charge to your advance payment. I'm not really sure kung sa iba din ganito kahigpit.

one more thing "In case the child is absent for three (3) consecutive sessions (excused or unexcused), the child shall be placed in the waiting list and the advance payment made is deemed forfieted."


This is our first center kaya I have no idea kung ganito din ang rules sa iba.

^ sa centers ko hindi naman ganun kahigpit sa guidelines, although medyo strict in writing, madali naman pakiusapan yung admin or therapists lalo na if nakikita nilang supportive ang parents (i.e. good follow up at home, ok naman yung attendance before, etc)

Sa lahat ng clinics ko merong rule w/ 3 consecutive absences pero madali naman gawan ng paraan like makeup sessions or penalty (you pay for the absences na hindi na-call to cancel) -- or minsan merong reservation fee na if you know beforehand that your child will be absent for a few sessions babayaran mo yung sessions na mamimiss niya partially -- this is to protect na din the therapist kasi isipin niyo naman we're paid by the hour -- no client, no pay.

re: advanced payment hindi naman nafoforfeit -- except for those na monthly talaga ang bayad tapos class or group ang sessions like socialization or pragmatics class - ang dating kasi nun is like tuition sa school, kahit umabsent ang isang bata hindi naman niya pwede i-makeup mag-isa yung class.

sa clinics ko naman may deposit na two sessions, and yung penalty dito kukunin (just in case the parents refuse to pay for the penalty). if naubos yung deposit, kailangan magdeposit ulit before they can be cleared for the next session.

in my experience i think nakapag remove na ako ng two kids -- both very poor attendance, poor follow up at home, and very defensive parents -- the admin opted them out in accordance to the center's guidelines kasi baka pagmulan lang ng kaso.

Para kasi akong naiiksian sa "announcement" nila, I don't know if it's the right term last time kasi sabay na ng therapy ang increase pinapirma nalang kame agad, at eto nga yung policies impelemented na agad. Paano na the parents na ginagawan ng paraan yun pang therapy ng anak nila? hindi naman biro magpa therapy lalo na kung madaming sessions .
Re: make-up session. kahit umattend ka make-up session babawasan na ng 50% yung advance payment mo.
I understand na therapist and center gets their pay thru session(s), one missed session means loss of income narin for them, hindi ko lang talaga siguro matanggap yung 2 weeks notice before you absent ang kailangan. At babawasan nila yung advance payment mo kahit mag make-up session pa, parang double the income yun

Anyways, I'll ask some moms sa center kung anong take nila, baka kasi ako lang pala ang hindi makatanggap sa ibang guidelines nila

Hi! Can anyone recommend or provide feedback on the therapy centers around the Alabang/BF Paranaque area? Naginquire na ako sa Goals, Communicare, Building Blocks and Here We Grow.

My toddler needs early intervention for OT and Speech.  Don't know what should be my basis sa pagpili. They almost have the same rates. Distance naman neglible naman ang layo from our house. Hopefully, someone can provide some inputs. Thanks.

^my daughter has her therapy sessions sa building blocks and satisfied ako sa results. she started her therapy last november and ang laki na ng improvement niya. her ot is teacher rhuel.

my cousin naman used to go to communicare and okay din ang results sa kanya. mas mahal lang nga to sa building blocks. i think yung rate nila is 650 vs 500 sa building blocks. will probably transfer my daughter here kahit okay siya sa building blocks since nearer to sa amin.
