Aliw naman ako sa "diyosas".    But I also heard the same thing about their Speech Therapists.  Anyway, my daughter is already having her SP at Core Skills.  Minimal lang naman "problem" niya sa speech kaya once a week lang kami.  So wala pa akong masyadong feedback to share.  They are also transferring their center na, sa building na although malapit pa rin sa old location.

Sa Speciabilities naman yung twin boys ko for OT.  They were diagnosed with Developmental Language Delay, mixed type by our Dev. Ped.  Although mas may problem yung isa sa twins.  Anyway, so far ok naman sessions nila, though again wala pa akong masyadong maibigay na feedbacks since we've been there for about a month pa lang.   Like, Core Skills the center is also an old house, though spacious and clean, medyo di na in tip-top shape and may old house smell na and malamok. 

sis what do you mean kaya dun sa sinabi nun sa sinabi ng isang ka member natin na sa core skills dyosas " un consultant?...consultant means theraphist??...bkit pala hndi ka sa sepciabilities nagpa speech theraphist??...

^Meaning sila yung magagaling sa SPs.  Walang slot sa Speciabilities for SP.

Hi All,

My son was diagnosed with developmental language disorder last april 4. we're currently looking for therapy center within our vicinity. I've called numerous centers in QC however most of them are far from our place or does not have available slot for SP/ST. Some of the center's I've called:

Healing Touch - it's near but it will take us 3-4 rides

Quality Life Discoveries- i like this however they don't have available slot as of now

Child Find - near however no available slot

Core SKills - i really like this one but it's far and will take us 3-4rides before we can reach their center

medmom clinic- scheduled on may... still looking for other options since their assessment is quite expensive though their hourly rate is the cheapest. they charge you 450/hr if you'll have 2 or more sessions per week. 2 rides from our home. no idea as well about their center



My son will attend a regular class this coming june thus it would be very beneficial if the center is near our house and also considering the exhaustion from travel and traffic. I'll appreciate as well if you can share your experiences with your therapy center. Thank you

^  Go to the nearest and most convenient for you and your son.  Mahirap din kasi kapag malayo ang center especially if you will go on a weekday.

My sons are taking speech therapy at Healing Touch.  As I understand it, they may still have available slots on weekends kasi mas busy sila on weekdays.  The facilities may not be impressive but the therapists at HTC are good and it is very easy to work with them.  Mababait silang lahat doon at nakikita kong napaka-caring nila sa mga bata.  Also, they will be moving to a new and hopefully better place soon (also in Sikatuna Village). 

Medmom is new but relatively small.  Dr. Tanchanco plus a child psychologist and other professionals hold office there.  I was not aware na may SP pala doon kasi small lang talaga ang place.

^ Healing Touch Center is at Mapagkawanggawa Street, Sikatuna Village, Qc.  Speech therapy is P600/session.

@marose17 i haven't been to medmom kaya i have no idea and pag niresearch mo sa google no feedback yet regarding their speech therapy. as per dr planta, speech pathologist yun mag conduct ng assessment sa child and gagawa ng curriculum pero ang mag conduct ng therapy is a communication specialist daw. their assessment is 5k.

my son pacoon's pedia had this impression that my son has autism. she advised us to go to core skills for ot twice a week and ot once a week. i enrolled my kid at therakids in malate kasi andun yung ot na nya and i dont want to chnge ot's na. but im considering core skills for his st. any feedback on this center?

as per my son's dev ped, our primary concern is my son's speech therapy thus i need center's with the best or good therapist in the said field. from what i've read around, core skills is one of the best but it's too far from our house. then as per over the phone inquiry with Quality life discoveries, they're still looking or recruiting newly grad for their speech therapy though they seem to have good OT. By the way i don't have prob with newly grad but since my son's speech level is way lower than his age I would like someone with experience. no decision yet on medmom clinic

as of now, healing touch is our first choice then milestone and bright beginning are our 2nd choice due to their location but still need to read or hear reviews regarding their center.

sorry mga sis kung nagiging makulit ako dahil wala ako mapagtatanungan dito sa amin. i just want the best for my son and yun center na worthy ng pera namin. thanks in advance =)

We had an assessment for OT 2 years ago at Bright Beginnings.  Mukhang magaling naman yung OT na nakausap ko.  I chose Healing Touch lang kasi mas gusto ko yung location (residential neighborhood).  Yung BB kasi nasa main road (almost tapat ng Blue Wave Marikina).  At saka, 1 slot lang available nila eh 2 ang kids ko needing OT (for fine motor skills) that time.

Hindi ko alam though kung okay sila sa speech therapy.

i called today, they will call me back daw for the evaluation schedule and rates. the secretary did not divulge their rates sabe yun boss na lang daw nila. hopefully it's within our budget since 2 rides lang from our house and speech pathologist daw yun mag conduct ng therapy.

^ As I recall, mas mataas ng konti ang rate sa Movement Matters, it's either P625 or P700. If the location is more convenient for you, doon ka na lang.
