^ Professionally speaking, if the kid have some work behavior problems (poor attention span, impulsive, play behavior, concentration, difficulty following commands/instructions, sitting span, etc) i would say go for OT first, then after a few months, with the OT's go signal and/or doctor's, you can do Speech na.

ngayon I'm down to one dilemma - which center to choose NEST or Movement Matters haven't heard of any review pa kasi regarding NEST, e mas affordable sana kesa sa MM

^hmmm, i couldn't comment which to choose, kasi magiging biased ako hehe

you should think din pala, ano yun nearer sa area mo? kasi good and prompt attendance is a huge huge huge factor may iba di nila namamaximize their given sched, instead of 1 hour, minus few minutes. Although ako when i do one on one, basta wala kasunod, i extend. Pero i always make it a point to remind na dapat we should start promptly

Not very sure bout this, pero mas matagal na yata ang Movement sa Nest? atleast by a year i think.

Have the mommies here heard of REHAB PARTNER in Annapolis?  Any feedbacks would be appreciated.  I'm planning to bring my 3 year old twins here, as recommended by their pedia.  One needs speech therapy while the other mukhang behaviour related (OT yata, tama ba?).  Thanks in advance.

now ko lang nakita itong thread na ito.

I have twins David & Paul - 4years old na sila. Diagnosed GDD
Both of them have been doing OT, SPEECH and SPED 
si David may kasamang PT

David - was diagnosed to have hemiplegia, we started seeing pedia-neuro and dev ped @ 6 mos. Our docs are Dr. Robles and Dr. Xavier Dimalanta ( I think he is part of Cerebral Palsy assoc here in Phil)

He started PT right after he was diagnosed prior CT-Scan pa ito. So he's been doing PT with PCMC for almost 4 years na din. So hindi obvious na hemi sya except for balance issues. Ang PT nya with PCMC is 2 times a week, isang playgroup to prepare for any sports related activity, then isang one-on-one.
Nung 1st time namin dito, naiiyak ako sa mga bata na nakikita ko. Na feel ko na super blessed pa rin kami. Naisip ko, pano na lang yung mga parents na may kids na kailangan ng therapy na hindi maafford? ... well, emotional lang talaga ako. Enjoy si David dito kasi love sya ng mga therapists.

OT, SPED and SPEECH - we are blessed to find Angel Gabriel here near our place! the therapists our from UP Manila's CAMP so kampante ang hubby ko since he is from UP Manila, some of them kasama nya sa UP Mountaineer.

OT for fine motor skills, behavior and may kasama na rin balance.
SPEECH - ang laki na rin ng improvement ng twins ko!

Every week may DYAD or social skills program sila since andito na rin ang OT nila.

How much we are burning in a week? wala na sa amin yun, kasi sulit naman...

my child attends occupational therapy with Ms Diane Villar at KCD Marikina (Tel: 682-2656). Ms Diane did wonders to my kid. My 5-yr old daughter can now talk. She also attends regular preschool. i'm grateful to all Ots.

There's a center in Silver City, Fontera Verde, Pasig, back of SM Hypermart.  Its CLI - Center for Learning and Intervention.  They network with dev peds and assessment specialist who refers to them children who needs speech therapy, OT, PT, Sped tutorial, etc.  They have a pool of specialist to cater to the child needs.  The place is convenient and facility is good as well.

^ hi sis baby ko nagtherapy sa GOals caloocan, for me ok yung mga teachers dun, i've tried 4 different teachers there and i have no problems with them, i heard din na yung mga teachers ng caloocan nagtherapy din sa goals global...hth

@ria_gelai - Thanks sis! Unfortunately, we've been rescheduled twice na sa GOALS BGC under Teacher Anne. At first, may LBM daw sya so she cancelled the assessment of my daughter last Friday. Since every Friday lang sya, we had to wait for another week. Then today sana at 10am. It was 12nn na when she texted the receptionist na hindi daw pala sya aabot and male-late pa sya sa next client nya today. Hayyy... It just so happened na ilang months waiting time sa ibang speech therapy centers na nirecommend ng DevPed ng daughter ko, that's why I need to stretch my patience with GOALS BGC.

My son goes to Communicare in BF homes Las Pinas for work behavior modification. He is attending the group therapy with 3 OTs. P1900 assessment then P550/session on OTs

mga sis, papano ba ang protocol when it comes to consulting with a devt pedia? My mom is suggesting that we enrol my kid, who's 2 years and 5 months, in speech therapy, rather than have her attend summer classes (plan sana namin art or kindermusik). At her age kasi, hindi pa sya nakakapagsalita ng straight sentences, mga 2-3 word-sentence lang. Pero she knows her name, her age, me and hubby's name, certain animals, etc. actually,  her not being able to say straight sentences at her age right now ang nagpupush sa akin to seek a devt pedia. may i add nga pala na she's a saling-pusa naman sa daycare sa office ni hubby, mga 2x a week sya andun. whenever i ask her to say words, she would be able to follow, point to shapes, numbers, etc.

kelangan ba munang sa regular pedia namin sya dalin before sa devt pedia? and kelangan muna dibang ma-assess ng devt pedia before we have her take speech therapy?

^ A pedia should routinely make a developmental check on your baby.  If something is amiss, the pedia may refer a developmental pedia.  That's what happened with me.  My babies were not hitting their milestones on time so at 11 months, the pedia referred us to a dev ped.  My kids were premature, by the way. 

Some mommies here naman made an appointment with a dev pedia without a referral from the main pedia.

I heard from a lecture before that developmental screening is recommended at 3, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24 months even if you do not have any concerns about your baby's development.  If you have a specific concern, all the more na kailangan mo mag-consult, right?

my son is currently in KIDS THERABUILDER THERAPY CENTER (KTTC) in Kapitolyo, Pasig. I saw NEST when I was doing my ocular, they have cubicles and an activity area (good for movement activities). They also have good therapists in NEST as well as in KTTC. KTTC has available slots for both OT and SP (I think).. You may want to check out..

KTTC: Initial Evaluation = 1,400, per session = 550

Some devpeds are "connected" with therapy centers, some doctors even own therapy centers, so doon nila pinapadala yun mga kids for IE and Therapy

Though, it is still the parents' call kung saan nila gusto mag therapy. As I've said, isa sa important na titignan is yun regular attendance, so better if easily accessible yun lugar sainyo, kahit gaano ka-ganda ng facility and ka-galing yun teachers/therapists, if pangit attendance ng kid, di agad makita improvements. And ofcouse, important yun follow up at home

In reply to the mommy asking about GOALS BGC, they have the same teachers from GOALS caloocan and GOALS alabang. The only difference is that, mas senior lang yung pinapadala sa bgc (thus the higher rate as compared to goals caloocan).

Hi mommies, my husband is a physical therapist and is also practicing behavioral therapy (ABA). Offered 1 o 1 therapy session (homebased)
