Hi mga sis! Pwede mag tanong? I got my results for the FT3, FT4 and TSH kanina, eto yung naka indicated and if pwedeng malaman anong ibig sabihin ng mga ito lalo na yung FT3?


FT3 - 7.20 reference range 3.5-7.0 pmol/L
FT4 - 21.00 reference range 8.5-22.5 pmol/L
TSH - 0.40 reference range 0.4-5.5 IU/L

Underwent RAI na last week for hyperthyroidism.

Thanks for sharing all your stories. 
I have a follow up check up next week with my endo and nuclear med doctor next month.

How much po ang RAI treatment nyo at saan hospital? Kasi isa rin sa option namin magasawa na magpa RAI, ang binigay ng option samin ng doc is Meds and RAI dahil bawal daw opera sa my hyper thyroid btw ang doc namin si Dr. Nerissa Ang ng MMC.

Mga ka sis GT need ba namin mag 2nd opinion sa ibang endo?

pasingit lang, dati ako hyper pero nagpa-RAI ako sa st.lukes a few years back as advised by my endo, mga 50K din inabot yata that time pero buti covered ng medicard ko noon yung charges. Now, hypo na ko

In my case naman, hyper ako year 2008.  2011 I had my thyroidectomy pero sub-total lang, after that naging hypo naman ako hanggang sa na buntis ako.  After giving birth in November and done my thyroid test again, mababa na naman ang tsh ko, meaning balik hyper na naman.  Hay....  Will schedule check-up again, itinigil ko na rin muna for the meantime yung levothyroxine ko which pinrescribe ni endo to continue taking it after giving birth dahil obviously nag o overproduce na naman ako ng thyroid hormones..

Share nyo naman po, ano yung nirecommend sainyo i-take and bakit yun daw? Planning to take a pills or magpainject kase bawal nadaw ako mag buntis dahil sa condition ko. Pero okay lang sakin kase tatlo na naman ang anak ko. Ayaw ko na muna magka baby...

I was diagnosed din po with hyperthyroidism at  first nag loss ako ng weight but now I continue
gaining weight. Tapdin din at inderal ang meds ko.
Lahat halos ng symptoms ng hyperthyroid weight loss at ako lang ba ang weight gain?

i do. i dont have a thyroid anymore so i take euthyrox for maintenance. i consulted first with my ob on what pills to take since i dont want it to have a counter effect on euthyrox. she prescribed yaz for me but i suggest that you visit your ob too. baka magkaiba tayo scenario

theres a chance that because of the medicines your are taking, your hormone levels decreased than normal. regular ka ba nagpapacheck up? your hormone levels must be regularly monitored by your doctor so he/she could adjust the dosage and frequency of usage accordingly.

My mom did her RAI at PGH. Her endo here in Cavite said they found lumps sa may leeg nya and then immediately scheduled her for operation. When they said na cancerous yung nakuha they scheduled her for RAI.  That time she was referred to a doc sa Perps (LP) asking her to shell out 60k for RAI. I found a specialist sa PGH medyo hindi sya bilib na inalis agad ang thyroid ng mom ko. Knowing na may HMO sila that time. So we had her scheduled for RAI sa PGH paid only 30k all in na I think she was there mga 3-4 days. Imagine kalahati ang difference. Kasama na dyan yung body scan na hindi pa daw kasama sa Perps at nasa 7k daw. Mas kampante na kame sa PGH doctor nya kaya dito na kame although I still plan to change her endo mas confident pa rin ako sa mga doctors sa PGH.

pwede ba malaman kung sino ang Endo ng mom mo? plan ko kase magpalit actually nakakailang Endo na ko gusto ko na mag stick sa isang Doctor nalang kaya naghahanap ako yung makakamenos at syempre magaling talagang Endo kase sabi nila for operation na din daw ako, Thyroidectomy ang tawag dun di ba? Bata pa ko. 24 palang ako mga sis. Takot talaga ako sa mga mangyayare di ko alam kung bakit umabot ako sa ganito. Bakit nagkabukol ako sa leeg ng ganitong kalaki? Hay. Nawala na sakin halos lahat magmula lumaki ang bukol ko. Di na ko nakapag work ulit.

Hi sis endo ng mother ko is Cavite based sa Medical Center Imus. Hindi ko pa sya na meet talaga sabi naman nya mukha ok naman si doc kase so far aligned naman sa mga sinabi ng nag RAI sa kanya sa PGH na espesyalista naman sa Nuclear Medicine. Cavite based ka din ba? Let me know so I can pm you the name of the endo.

Yung nag RAI sa kanya ang talaga gusto ko. Ako mismo ang naghanap at nag aral ng credentials ng doctor na yun kesehoda kapapanganak ko lang at cs ako puyatan na kay baby puyat pa sa paghanap ng doctor.

Bata ka pa nga and I am confident your body can handle the operation if talaga for operation ka na. Isipin mo na lang my mom is 58 pero nakaya nya mas kakayanin mo yan 😄
