^same here sis, kahit normal na yung thyroid hormones ko, di talaga nag-shrink yung goiter, pero di naman masyadong malaki. yun nga lang, chubby neck. sabi ng endo ko, wala na daw magagawa dun. she also didn't recommend surgery or RAI. pero sa case ko, sabi niya when I get older, malaki ang chance na maging hypo na ako.

I take iodine/iodide thru kelp supplements for my thyroid health.
I learned more about hormones (dami nating hormones) this month doing research because I got worried when I skipped a monthly period due to stress.
Stress increases Cortisol (body's defense against stress, parang adrenaline) but this lowers progesterone naman so you miss a period, get acne, or hair loss naman until stress levels are gone.
Thyroid, Pituitary, Ovaries (estrogen for menopause), they all secretes our hormones, if you remove that organ, supplementation nlng ang choice mo.

pwede rin ba ang bee propolis and royal jelly for those with hyperthyroidism? my bf just got diagnosed and clueless kami sa pwede nya kainin at hindi kasi wala naman sinabi un doctor. he's working in korea at may language barrier sa doctor, hindi rin kami ganun katiwala kasi medyo mabagal sya gumaling dun sa mga binibigay na meds sa kanya. the problem is sobra un bowel movement nya to the point na dehydrated na sya, umabot yata ng 5-6 days na tuloy-tuloy.

gusto ko sana sya padalhan ng bee propolis and royal jelly but i'm worried lang baka di pumayag ang courier dito na walang reseta kasi ganun dati kahit vitamins lang ipapadala, kailangan magpresent ng reseta. :( anyone has tried sending these 2 items abroad?

^ sis, sakin din walang sinabing bawal na food yung endo, pero it will help kung healthy yung lifestyle niya. baka pwedeng magpatingin sa ibang doctor yung bf mo, kung sa tingin nyo di umeepekto yung gamot. although nakatulong sakin yung bee propolis, i still see as a supplement not as a medicine. dapat ma-treat muna yung condition niya.

Sis make him eat goitrogen foods...these foods decrease the amounts of thyroid hormones produced Blythe body...example nyan broccoli and cabbage. Search Lang sa internet for more info.

He needs to control his hyperthyroidism to control diarrhea. Hope this helps.

Iodine and Iodide deficiency yan, and yan din ang gamot. Best source seaweeds and kelp.

Caused by the
Flouride in Toothpastes we use
Chlorine in the Water we drink everyday
Bromine in the Bread we eat

Research niyo na lang. Try youtube videos na meron lecture.
I know my thyroid is not perfect still, kahit lahat ng tests ko ay normal.
It just means wala akong deficiency, but still not enough to be fully healthy.

^ i agree sis, may nabasa akong medical research that people with hypo and hyperthyroid both will benefit from iodine. although in the same research, too much iodine can also cause hypothyroidism. so dapat sakto lang din.

haaay...when i first heard that my bf was diagnosed with hyper 2nd week this month, di ko pa alam pano magreact kasi akala ko iba to sa goiter. :( ang hirap kasi kailangan nya pa din magwork dun. di katulad, dito sa tin, pag masama pakiramdam mo, pwede ka mag-sick leave then present medical certificate. buhay OFW :(

nag-order na ko ng first vita plus. herbal naman yun kaya try na lang daw nya. sana magwork. i'll give feedback. papadala ko sa kanya within the week. i haven't read much about this product yet. wala ng time. gusto na namin may magbago at least dun sa LBM nya kasi un pinakmahirap pag nasa work.  :-\

sis whatswithjuly

hindi naman lahat e nag bubulge ang eyes unfortunately im one of those na nag bulge ang eyes so kahit na controlled na pagiging hyper ko e hindi na same ang mata ko which is very frustrating...

RAI is also recommeded to me by my doctor by good thing i didn't go with that option kasi i think na mas mahirap i manage ang hypo kesa pagiging hyper and tama nga hinala ko! saka i have a friend na may hypo sobrang laki niya talaga ayaw ko naman maging ganoon kahit na medyo chubby ako ngayon kasi im eating a lot e siya napaka hina kumain pero napakalaki niya...saka up until now wala parin sila baby

What do you mean by hypo?  My TSH is high.  I am taking Eltroxin, probably lifetime na.  My recent ultrasound says normal size thyroid.  I am not fat or getting fat.  Malakas ako kumain pero underweight ako.

^sis sweetchili, i know hypothyroidism. :)  pero what's it that makes a person fat?  My TSH is high, my thyroid size is normal, I'm not fat, underweight pa nga.  I have this condition since Grade 5.  Am I considered hypo?

Eltroxin na maintenance eversince.  My TSH goes up when I do not take medicine.

dun sa mga may hyperthyroid, meron ba nakaka-experience ng rashes? halos 2 weeks na kasi naggamot sa allergy un bf ko..pabalik-balik lang un pantal nya.. hindi namin alam if it something related to his thyroid or reaction dun sa meds nya.

may isa pang problema, he just told me na 5 days nya na napapansin na yellowish na skin and eyes nya. hindi namin alam if this is still related to his thyroid.. :(
