^ thanks sis, do you mean thyroid scan? yun kasi request nung doctor, di ko sure if may iba pang term dun. nagpa-thyroid ultrasound na ako at medyo vague daw yung interpretation. kaya para sure, magpathyroid scan daw ako.

hi mga sis, totoo ba na if you are taking synthetic thyroid hormones, you'll have trouble conceiving?

@shinta thyroid scan means iinum ka ng radioactive...dun malalaman kung ano talaga sakit mo meaning to say another klaseng thyroid problem. After that you need to separate your things (utensils,damit) and you cannot come near to pregnant woman and children kasi ilalabas ng katawan mo yung radiation for several days.

thanks sis snowyice. waa, di pala pwede sakin yun kasi pregnant ako ngayon. i hope my thyroid problem is not serious. i have neither hypo nor hyperthyroidism. pero yung "with parenchymal disease" lang ang concern ng doctor kasi vague daw interpretation.

May gumaling na ba dahil sa med na to?
At ano mga side effects?

matagal na rin ako may thyroid problem. dapat nga ooperahan na ako di lang na clear dahil nagpa palpitate ako. di daw pwede baka kasi ma coma ako. di naman inixplain ng maayos na di pwede dahil may problem pala ako sa heart. nung lumipat ako sa makati med kay DRA GIA WASSMER pina inom muna ako ng tyrax that time. and nakita niya na nag AF ang ecg ko. kaya ni refer niya ako sa cardio  (DR  RAY KASILAG) mmc din.

ayun kaya naman pala di ako pwede i opera dahil meron ako MITRAL STENOSIS. awa ng Dios nag undergo ako ng OPEN HEART surgery MITRAL VALVE replacement last jan 31 lang.

after ng operation nag stop ako ng thyrax. until na notice ko na medyo lumaki thyroid ko balik na naman kay dr wassmer. nag prescribe siya ng METHIMAZOLE kasi di pwede ang thyrax. lumiit naman ang bukol kaso may side effect ang methimazole. may sore throat ako ngayon kaya stop muna.

sa ngayon yearly muna ang aking biopsy dahil high risk pa ako sa operation dahil umiinom ako ng blood thinner.

@SIS PINKAHOLIC yong strumazol parehas lang siguro yan sa tini take ko ngayon. wag ka unimom ng di prescribe ng dr mo sis. pa check up ka muna

is it true na hindi talaga pwede maggluta ang may thyroid problems?
pano na lang ang pangarap kong pumuti lol

by the way, hindi ba nawawala toh? Nadiagnose yung sakin 2008 pa. but until now i'm still taking euthyrox.. hindi ba toh gumagaling?

Hi mga sis! I was diagnosed earlier with colloid goiter and I have to undergo surgery because 4cm na yung mass sa left lobe ko. Do you have any idea how much is the procedure? Thanks!

@crybaby05 pag may thyriod iwan lang sa mga supplements na may kinalaman sa hormones like mga slimming pills...I think okay lang ang glutha.

gumagaling din naman ang thyroid pero bihirang gumaling most of the time nandyan na yan eh someone said you need to eat fresh sea weeds  everyday para gumaling kasi malakas yun sa iodine kaya lang nakakatakot naman kasi baka may insect na nakadikit dun usually and kapag kinain mo hindi namamatay kaya hindi ko ginagawa.

@Juricks when I asked a doctor about this before sabi niya mas mabilis daw mabuntis kasi nagpapafertile yung gamot.  May effect lang naman sa fertility ang thyroid kapag sa lalake.

@justme depende sa hospital sis. yung friend ko few years ago nagpatanggal ng thyroid lampas 100k ang nagastos kasi doctor pa lang ang mahal na ng singil.

I too got hyperthyroid , was diagnosed back in 2000 and until now still taking my medicines. I was planning on taking RAI na. The nearest is in Cebu but i don't know who's the best doctor there.

Medyo matagal-tagal na din kasi akong hindi nakabalik sa doc ko in cdo, luckily i don't feel anything in my neck like may nakabara or something. My problem is the heat, super sensitive ako.. i easily feel warm and sweaty even in a cooler environment. Air conditioner in full blast really helps but in my line of work i sometimes go out in the field and it so hot!!
 
        any advice?

hi all! i also have thyroid problems. naoperahan na nga ako kc di daw effective sa kin yun RAI. kaya i have a big scar on my nech...so sad. total thyroidectomy so i have to take eltroxin for the rest of my life. weird naman yun case ko kc sabi ng endo sa medical city nun last check-up ko (dra.teresa agcaoili) hypothyrid daw ako.super payat ko naman...di talaga ko gain ng weight.
