Lab tests for t3, t4, tsh is around 400+ each.  so kung tatlo yan nasa around 1,200.  hindi daw completely nacu-cure ang hyperthyroidism.  you have to have blood tests once in a while kahit nag normalize na ang t3, t4, tsh mo.  so at least 2x a year ang blood test para sure na ndi sya bumalik. 

ggiiaa, hindi kaya nasobrahan ka sa gamot.  kasi minsan pag over sa gamot from hyperthyroidism, nagiging hypo e.  tsaka pag hyper usually is pumapayat kasi mabilis ang metabolism.  better check again with your doctor.  also, first time ko lang nabasa tapdin.  usually kasi strumazole ang recommended ng endos tapos pag buntis switch to ptu.

i was diagnosed also with hyperthyroidism last Feb. 2010. parehas sa mga symptoms na nabasa ko na din dito sa thread na to... like tremor hands, sobrang pumayat ako, walang lakas, madalas pumunta ng cr,. my doctor give me strumazol (thiamazole) 10mg to be taken 2x a day. meron din akong inderal for palpitation plus binigyan nya ako ng vitaminsa para mabawi ko yung lakas at maibalik yung dati kung katawan. nung bumalik ako ng abroad, after 3 months nagpa check up ako and na reverse yung case ko from hyperthyroidism to hypothyroidism kasi bumaba ang T4 ko pero tumaas masyado ang TSH ko. Doctor gave me Euthyrox (Levothyroxine sodium) para sa Hypo and give me NeoMercazole 5mg. for Hyper. sabi nya pagsabayin ko nga daw... tinawagan ko yung doctor ko sa pinas and explain to me bakit daw ko pagsasabayin yung gamot and need to take only Levothyroxine... di ko nga alam kung sino susundin ko... pero ginawa ko sinunod ko yung Doctor ko sa Pinas... kasi since Hypo ako ngayon dahil mataas  ang TSH ko i need to take only Levothyroxine sodium and umiinom din ako ng Anti Oxidant Supplements from GNC at sa gabi yung Choline Supplements also from GNC. by the i always take 1 hour before meal sa umaga ang Euthyrox ko... yun daw ang effective na nabasa ko sa ibang forums...

^same kayo ng tine-take ng mother ko,yung gamot sa hyper. may inderal din at vitamins. laki ng inimprove niya,dati kasi kapag nagsasalita napaka hyper din pero now back to normal na pagsasalita niya. although yung katawan nya di padin bumabalik sa dati.

can someone help me kung san ok magpa RAI? wa epek na ang medicine sakin, hindi na magnormalize thyroid hormones ko after 3 years of taking the medicines

sis backread ka po meron kase mga sis natin na hindi daw maganda ang mag RAI.. pwede daw hindi magbuntis ng 5 years and nagiging vice versa daw ang sakit mo..

ganun ba..  wala na kasi effect yung medicines ko kaya my endo recommends RAI na..  hindi rin ako qualified for surgery kasi hindi na manormalize ng medicines ang thyroid hormones ko..

nabanggit din ng endo na the other downside for taking the medicine for years will have an effect sa kidneys..

i agree, better mag seek ng 2nd opinion. Before ang endo ko sa ust. he said i need a total thyroidectomy na raw because based on my july thyroid ultrasound dumami nodules ko and lumaki thyroid ko. What I did, nagpunta ako sa pulmo ko who's from madocs para sa clearance because I have asthma. I told him kung ano sinabi ng endo ko from ust, hindi sya comfortable so he told me to seek a 2nd opinion sa isang endo from madocs na professor nya when  he was still studying medicine. What I did pumunta muna ako kay Dr. Pontejos ( madocs also) na isang ENT surgeon, he was shocked ng sabihin kong for total thyroidectomy ako. So nagduda na ako lalo, I went to Dr. Abrahan    ( madocs na prof ng pulmo ko) and she said I dont need a total thyroidectomy right now, mag meds daw muna.

So far nakaka 2months na ako ng thyrax, nawala na yung feeling na may nakabara sa throat ko. Even the ENT surgeon hindi na nya makapa ang nodule na matigas before, kaya di na nya muna ako pina fnb.

Kaya ngayon happy ako that I sought a 2nd opinion and in good hands ako kasi mas magaling na endo ko now.

 btw, Dr. Ho of madocs is good according to my pulmo. Magagaling rin talaga endo sa madocs like Dr. Litonjua, Dr. Abrahan, Dr. Ruby Go and Dr. Ho.

My mother had a same problem. she is daily getting thyroid plus tablet. Thyroid is not a big disease as people thinking. It kinda problem are minor.

next week sched ng 3yo daughter ko sa endo. medyo natatakot ako kasi baka daw hypho siya kasi she's now weighing 33 kilos e wala naman daw sa lahi namin ang obese. ano ba symptoms ng may hypho. sobrang nagwoworry na talaga ako for her. TIA

Does hyperthyroidism cause total infertility or is it something na maaagapan pa? Natakot kasi ako bigla. My boyfriend and I are trying to have a baby, kaso wala talaga.

i was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2002. and was eventually advised to undergo RAI way back 2003. Then in 2006, i had my 1st baby and in 2008, my 2nd baby. so in terms of infertility, i don't think so

but yes, after my RAI, i was advised not to have a baby within 5 years. but i got pregnant unexpectedly after 2 years. my daughter is now 4 years old and very much normal naman, meaning at par ang development and everything.

now, i am hypothyroid. i am on eltroxin now and i regularly have blood tests done to change the dose as needed. maintenance meds talaga.

25. Does the product work on people with certain illness?
No. People who have Thyroid-related illness(Hypo/Hyperthyroidism) will most likely not to benefit from the skin lightening effects of Glutathione. Other than that, the product works with most people.

@ hapee mamee  -- [textspeak!] endo mo nag sabi sayo n 5 years bago mapreggy after RAI. Kasi i rcved RAI(Pinas) din year 2006 kasi hyper ako, I was single then. Tas i just found out n hypo n ko nung namissed abortion ako last April, i was not taking any meds for thyroid, my mistake is after my RAI e twice [textspeak!] akong bumalik sa Dr. kasi naging n ko, e dapat pla when you had already a thyroid problem regular n yung check-up.. So sabi ng OB ko here in qatar possible daw n its becuase of my high TSH 112 that [textspeak!] nung namissed abortion ako. so ni-refer nya ko sa Dr. in Internal Med kasi ala p kong nakikitang Endo here. Pero mukha nmang magaling [textspeak!] dami nya ginawang test ske. I started taking Thyroxine last June pa, my FT3 and FT4 is normal but my TSH is high last test oct 18 it was 65.37.
Then I ask what abwt getting pregnant, sabi nman nya ok [textspeak!] daw kasi im already taking my med yung thyroxine kasi ok daw nman yung FT3 and FT4 ko. Even my OB sa pinas told us ok daw nman mag try n ulit ma-pregnant.. Pero kasi may mga nababasa ako sa net n it is still not adviseable kasi kapag daw high TSH low IQ ng magiging baby, is it true ba?
I'm really confused on the different opinions n nababasa ko.. wala p kming baby.. and we really want an angel and becoz of my thyroid problem were confused [textspeak!]..

My mom has just been operated on last wednesday. Nasa hospital pa siya today pero baka ma-discharge na siya tomorrow. Tinanggal din ang goiter niya. Sabi ng surgeon niya, before the operation that 99% of such goiter operations are not that complicated pero 1% is because then the enlarged goiter is attached to the vocal chord (??). So hayun, the operation was from 10-2 pm kasi my mom was that 1%. Kasi daw pag nagkamali ang doctor, paos na mama ko for the rest of her life. Awa ng Diyos, okay naman na siya. Nakakasalita na siya ng normal...
