ano po ba specs ng pc ang pwede sa internet shop? pang games na rin po..

we're planning to have an internet shop by next year.. it's a joint project between me and my boyfriend. this is our chance to invest and make more money since we're planning to get married on 2011.

here is the plan. we would like to start on a rural internet shop. our target market are high school students. we are planning to have around 7-8pcs. they don't have to be the high-end ones, just enough for school researches, dota, counter strike (yeah, some kids still play this game) and of course facebook. i also want to add a little e-load/auto-load, snacks and drinks.

this should be our stepping stone. from our christmas raket of selling lanterns, we managed to save up around 80k. now, hubby wants to loan some 30k more so we'll have 110k.

would that be enough for everything? for pc, we're setting the 60k aside. we've seen good 2nd hand pc's on openpinoy. is the remaining 50k enough for everything? tables, chairs, space lease, glass door and wall, permit...

haaaay... i need your feedbacks asap. we would like to start this early next year and im starting to collect some info now.

^Hi sis ye, we have a computer shop its actually the same as what your planning. Kasosyo ko bf ko sa shop mga 1 year na din.

If your planning to buy sa openpinoy I think meron dyan available na mga cpu worth 2k plus lang, just make sure to check kasi di ba mga 2nd hand, so most probably di magiging kasing tibay ng mga brand new. If you want to run the business in a long time better invest in brand new, but since tight budget you can go and buy those 2nd hand. Nung pinagawa ko mga table, bumili ng chairs,nag asikaso ng papers more or less umabot ako ng 30K-40k. Bumili din kasi ako ng printer and other stuffs na kelangan sa shop like router, hubs etc. Di pa kasama yung aircon sis.

Also advantage din kapag meron sa inyo marunong sa computers, kasi kapag nasira mahirap pag tatawag ka pa ng technician at mahal pa maningil.

By the way we already have 2 computer shops one in Bulacan and another is in Malabon. Im selling the other one kasi di ko na maasikaso. If ever your interested. Im working at the same time kasi. Mahirap pag sa bantay mo lang iiwan. Mas maganda pag hands on ka.

sis kung ng titipid ka sa budget get an amd set up. Mas mahal kasi ng konti ang intel. Sa AMD kasi you can use the on board video card, so pag may konti ka ng naipon pwede ka na mag add ng separate video card para sa demanding games.790gx chipset ginagamet ay ATI Radeon™ HD 3300 ay ok na sa mga online games at sa mga di masyadong graphics demanding games. Usually online games lang naman na nilalaro sa amin is Dota, SF audition at ran. Di mo kelangan ng super lakas na videocard.

ask ko lang, sa mga gumagamit ng HANDYCAFE sa shop nila. How do we set the settings kapag halimbawa GAMES ang i-in ng customer para hindi nila ma-access ang browser? Is it possible kaya? Nag-resign na kasi ang Club Control ko kaya no choice kami but to use HandyCafe na.

be particular also on the ram. 1gig is the least that i recommend.
units could cost at about 8-11k for mid end gaming and upto 15k for high end gaming.

we used to have club control pero we shifted over to cafesuite. mas natetrace namin yung income per pc, mas madaling mamanage and remote access yung stations from the server, setup restrictions just like you wanted etc etc.

plan big. atleast 12 to 15 units agad. matagal yung income return ng computer shop business, and in order for it to survive dapat maraming raket na kasama like photoprinting, pc repairs, pc parts retail. nagsimula kaming magkakabarkada sa pc shop business way 2006. ngayon we have 2 branches, 30units in UST and 12 units in Makati.

mag setup kayo agad. as much as possible ayaw niyong abutan kayo ng sem break or summer break. we are losing 10to 20% income due to that season. to think na residential area yung isang shop and hindi lahat ng customers namin ay estudyante.

trick also is "piso print" pati photoprinting. lakas humatak sa printing ng 1peso for black and white page. use laser printers for piso print and use CIS (continuous ink system) printer for photo printing, i recommend yung brother printers for CIS, mura na, madali pang refilan ng ink. plus wala kang gagalawin sa loob na parts so you could still keep the warranty of the printer.

for remote access, just like if you needed to troubleshoot a program problem at the shop at the convenience of your home, you could use the program LogMeIn. one of our shop is in UST, tapos kaming magkakabarkada eh nakatira sa makati. bantay lang yung naiiwan sa shop sa UST and if my problem dun, we just call and startup LogMeIN. nakakapagtrouble shoot kami even if networking issue pa.

about dun sa capital, ganyan din yung capital namin noon when we started. i think mga 80k, medyo mababa kasi may menos kami sa pwesto. pagaari ng kabarkada ko yung lugar. you could pm me and i could give you certain contacts for cheaper deal for your units which you could use for canvassing and compare to openpinoy.

also, not a requirement and if kaya ng budget, maganda rin if my backup ISP kayo just in case nagdown yung main ISP niyo. we have PLDT as our main then Bayantel as our backup.

@commish, sis ask lang yung cafesuite mo ba madali lang install and setup sa client PC? ask ko narin ok lang ba na yung server ko for cafesuite yun rin gamit ko for printing and other services? isa lang kasi yung server ko.

wala parin akong timer, manual parin kase gamit ko since 2007. haay.. 13 na unit ko. 2007 nag start ako ng 6PC, then 2008 naging 10PC, 2009 13PC. 3 na bantay ko pero salitan lang sila ng sched kaya all around ang bantay ko. 7am to 4am open ang shop ko. ako lang ang nag setup ng PC, cousin ko [textspeak!] isa sa bantay ko siya naman lagi nag update ng mga games. siya narin gumagawa ng kapag wala ako. pero wala parin siyang makitang magandang timer.

1. Ang TAGAL bago maka-detect ng computer! Minsan kailangan pa i-restart yung client pc. It's very inconvenient lalo na kapag marami ka nang mga waiting. Hiyang hiya tuloy ako sa mga regulars ko ngayon.

2. Sometimes it can cause the client pc to hang. Again, inconvenience.

hi sis, yeah, i got comclark. pero may mga occasional time na offline siya. pero tolerable pa naman.

i have another question though, im trying to budget our expenses. medyo di pa ganun kalakas [textspeak!] kita ng shop. i have 8pcs, all of them have flat crt. tapos yung aircon ko 1/2 hp lang, umaandar halos the whole time. 10am-10pm [textspeak!] operation hrs. may 5ft ref din pala na di naman masyadong nabubuksan. magkano kaya electric bill ko nyan? can anyone estimate, or kung sino man na may same experience. para lang mapaghandaan ko budget, heheh...

I have a timer that can be used for maximum of 75 units, may inventory report na rin sya so mas madali mag reconcile ng sales at the end of each day. madali sya gamitin at madali din makadetect ng PC. Wala pa kami naging problem sa timer na ito.
