PAINT or WALLPAPER?

paint and wallpaper para creative... hehe yung house ng friend ko, lower part ng walls nila, painted... tas may parang divider na wood panel ba tawag dun, tas upper part, wallpaper. ganda, class ang dating.

i heard kasi about VOC thing and on these brands it says low or very low VOC na sila.

1. davies biofresh- very low VOC kasi matte finish
2. boysen healthy home satin finish- very low voc also kaso hindi rin shiny ang outcome.
3. davies semi glosy- low VOC nadin. glosy din you think we should go nalang for this brand?

matte is for ceiling - mabilis kasi magdumi ang matte at para hinde magbounce yung reflection ng ilaw

shiny/ glossy naman- ginagamit for walls, para hindy mabilis magdumi ang walls

concern ko kasi is the VOC the lesser sana the better.. pero ok na kaya yun davies na semi gloss low VOC naman daw and lead free..

Mas ok parin ang wallpaper kasi kapag paint after ilang months lang nag-iiba na ang kulay tapos mabilis kapitan ng dumi. May bago pang findings ngayon na kahit odorless ang paint, there are still chemicals na pwedeng ma-inhale na carcinogenic. We have wallpaper at home at everytime pinapalitan (mga after 5-7 years) wala pang 3 days tapos na at walang kalat. Wala pang amoy kaya pwede na agad tulugan yun room. I find this very convenient para sa may anak na kagaya ko!

Also if there is a part na napunit mabilis i-repair as long as you have excess wallpaper of that napunit na design. Usually naman kasi may natitirang sobra. Basta you have to choose a good brand of wallpaper. You'll know a good quality by touching the paperback. Kapag manipis malamang low quality. Also a good quality wallpaper is washable.

Maganda sana ang wallpaper but if you have anay problems ay better forget it. 

Some homes I audited commissioned artwork done on their room's walls.  Mas unique although dapat mahusay yun artist.

Bahay namin wallpaper, condo paint. Dati gustong gusto ko wall paper kaso mas maganda sana if iba2x design na wallpaper kada room. Ginawa nung contractor halos pare-parehas nagtipid na masyado.

We also plan to put wallpaper, pero experiement muna kami sa powder room. i would also like to put wallpaper on our bedroom, pero just on the accent wall.

I have also seen wall paintings/murals on some of the model homes we recently visited, ang ganda nga ng effect.

how about paint + stencil? may nakita kase akong do-it-yourself project na instead using wallpaper gumawa sila ng wall print almost the same designs din ng wallpaper. so anytime na magsawa ka no need bakbakin ang wall just paint it with new colors.

I prefer paint kasi kapag wallpaper pangit siya pag nagtagal
we used boysen healthy home paints it is odor- less. Nag decorate lang ako ng wall decal sa baby's room i bought the Room Mates Jungle Wall stickers at Rustan's i think it's priced around 1200++. Mas gumanda pa yung room ni baby plus it is detachable pwede ko sya remove kung gusto ko palitan yung design.

by the way, advisable ba yung wall paper na washable (forgot the term or material) sa living room wherein madalas laging bukas ang mga bintana at pinto? i mean moisture can get into the walls kasi, kaya may concern ako sa wall paper na maaring mabakbak.
