PAINT or WALLPAPER?

i'm bored with white walls but they say it's the best color to make a small house/space appear larger.  my taste haven't appreciated yet mural wallpaper.  what else can i do to have interesting walls?  how about a combination of 2 colors.. any comments/suggestions?

i have wall papered room. and ang advantage niya is madaming designs ang pwedeng piliin. mas mabilis matapos kesa sa paint. if your looking for a colorful or unique designs go for wall paper. but nagkakaproblem ako sa wall paper pag sobrang lamig sa room yung ngmomoist sya sa morning basa yung wall minsan pati yung ilalin nang laptop ko basa
tuloy, it tends to have molds kaya lagi ko pinapalinis. its my 2nd time na mgpalit dati kasi sobrang dirty na nya and nasisira na.
sa paint naman maganda din, basta magandang paint yung gagamitin na brand and yung painter dapat magaling din hindi yung nagmamadali para kahit ilang years siya tumagal hindi nasisira yung paint.

even if the space is small di ka dapat limited to whites sis. best option is light shades/ warm colors/ textured wallpapers. murals mejo nakakasawa kasi siya e..not adviseable for small space kasi may tendency nga na after 2 years gusto mo na palitan. ok ang murals sa large rooms and for kid's rooms.

right furnishings like curtains/roman shades complete the look of your wall. plus if you have a painting, it does make a lot of difference.

white din color ng wall ng house ko i think this is safe..you just have to put some accessories para gumanda....we had wall paper before sa house ng mom ko pero in time kumukupas and change ka ulit.

from what i see, its burgundy..or baka may prob ang monitor ko. anyway. kaya naman palabasin ang ganyang color basta magaling yung pintor. yun nga lang, condo ka di ba? madaming restrictions sa condo eh. kahit simple paint jobs kailngan idaan sa admin. Sis i like the color rich red and color ng room namin ng sister ko. dati its white. u just hafta have a great painter for that.

I want to renovate my room, and I am asking myself this question.  But I think I'll stick to paint. It's cheaper in the long run. Ang hirap kasi pag nabakbak ang wallpaper eh.  Pangit talaga tignan. 

Now I need to decide on what color ang gamitin ko sa room ko

once i saw a really nice and irresistable wallpaper design and i want to have it.  but i don't like the idea of having it installed around all the walls in my room, considering also the practical reasons of using paint.  until i've found this picture.

^i agree. (ang ganda ng picture BTW) ako kasi yung taong madaling malunod sa patterns. hindi ko maappreciate ang wallpaper patterns sa buong room. maganda sa wallpaper, accent lang siya. pwede sa isang side lang ng room or sa poste lang.

for me maganda ang wall paper kapag walang bata kasi kapag meron pupunitin lang.

Wall papers can be removed DIY. You can soak it using a combination of hot water and fabric softener, apply the solution using a sponge and then use a spatula to scrape off the paper.

If you like to use wallpaper, maybe you can just put it as an accent in one wall. Paint of course is cheaper and you can DIY it also. There are paints that has no VOC so its safe for the occupants as well as the environment. You can just use your imagination to come up with paint designs like stripes of different sizes in two or three colors.

wallpaper for me, madaming varieties na ang wallpapers ngayon, meron din plain at konting texture,, i think for me, in the long run mas maaapreciate mo ang wallpaper ( yung top quality wallpaper ), kasi ang wall pag nasira madami dami pang rerefinish mo, ang wallpaper pag masira isang panel lang ang papalitan ( kung okey pa naman ang ibang panel ) pero maganda din combination kasi e

it was painted 2008 & i want to repaint na my small room.

1. ceiling is white & i see cracks na so what will i do to hide the cracks? what's best brand/exact white color to repaint the ceiling.

2. wall concrete color now is creamy yellow. what's best brand/exact white color to repaint na matte finish silky smooth to touch.

3. cabinet color is glossy creamy yellow also. i will put mirror sa 2doors (http://www.houzz.com/photos/48983/Re...-san-francisco) so mga sides na lang ang repaint.

mas ok ang paint marami pagpipliian and with wallpapers naman as from my experience during childhood years mahilig ako magkitkit ng wallapapers namin so beware if you have kids plus pagkunwari may nasira sa and tumulo sa house ang tubig and sa walls siya nagdrip sira ang wall papers.

With our kind of climate, I'd still say PAINT pa rin over wallpaper. OK naman si wallpaper, kaso kapag nag-chip off na, malaking trabaho kapag papalitan.
