first, how would i know ba if its mahogany or not? i mean, syempre there's a big possibility that the maker might lie to me, diba? but eto, it's really heavy! compared sa queen sized bed frame namin which my hubby made (labour of love!) a few years back, and the bed of my mom now, grabe! ang bigat nung kay mom! yung samin kasi regular plywood lang...also the dining table, heavy din! and when i looked underneath, kasi walang paint, medyo dark red yung color nung wood mismo..but i'll google also kung pano nga malaman and compare ko sa magiging answer ni maker...will update you soon

regarding the finish, it's wengue..i asked the maker na merong blend na parang red and almost black.. yun!

TIP: kung sa sulit nyo makita etong sinasabi kong furniture maker, don't deal with him..kasi po, mataas syang mag-quote..wento ko na lang din..i used to YM him for this pieces of furniture that i need...he quoted me 30K for the dining set alone, then 21K for the bed frame..so, in short, namahalan ako, tsaka mejo hindi maganda kausap...so after a few weeks, i got their landline number (from multiply), talked to the wife of the owner..then the owner himself na.. describe ko yung table..yun, sabi nya, it'll range between 14-16K daw, pero syempre, he wants to see the whole pic..then the wife offered to come over sa house namin para i-double check ang size ng gusto ko and all...yun! kaya super laking tipid diba? that's all!! haba noh? sorry..but i hope this would help
