hi...

i'm currently having our house built (after living in my mil's house for the longest time) and we're also currently furniture hunting.

i've already bought a bed from edia, mattress from 40winks, dining set from abubot and a wooden sala set from elle siglo (yup, i like wood furniture - preferably old wood furniture). any other places where i can get quality furniture?

also cookware, i can't decide between getting visionware (kaso ang liliit ng available dito sa pinas), meyer or farberware.

help please

Handyman at Shangrila used to carry big Visionware items.
I prefer cookware from Rustan's. They have a wide price range choice.

mga sis it would also be helpfull kung isasama ang price range for each furniture/bought where, para at least malaman natin more or less kung magkano ang kailangan to furnish our home...TIA!

nakabili din kami ng house last october 2008. by then, nagpagawa na din ako ng mga furnitures ko sa kakilala naming karpentero. first week of february 2009, naideliver na lahat sa house ko.

mas prefer namin yung pasadya, kesa bumili ng ready made na. kasi gusto ko yung design ko. tsaka mas makakamura talaga, i think.

and guess what, quality na, nakamura nga ako. "gemelina" yung wood na ginamit niya, hindi inaanay, tsaka matibay talaga.

eto ang breakdown ng mga orders ko:
*bed frame (queen size), with headboard, with 2 drawers (under the bed, front) + dresser (with 2 drawers) - P9,500.00
*bed frame (single size), with pullout bed + dresser (with 2 drawers) - P8,500.00
*3-seater sofa, with pullout bed + center table - P9,000.00

*built-in cabinets - P17,300.00
-kitchen cabinet
-dish cabinet & utensil drawer (except for the 2 trays inside, binili ko yun separately)
-tv cabinet
-hanging cabinet (for toys & other things @ kid's room)

total: P44,300.00

Our Home has nice furniture and decorations..

Of course, the ever reliable SM Home World..there are some really good stuff there and with a wide price range..

when we had our place renovated, naging laman kami ng Home Depot, Wilcon Builders and True Value/Handyman/Ace Hardware.. everything imaginable for house construction is available here.. esp. sa WIlcon in Libis

wala pang upholster yung sofa, which is P7,500 daw dun sa pinag-canvas-an ko. uratex foams ang gagamitin nila. hindi pa rin ako nakabili ng mga matress and foams para sa mga bed. also, yung mga handle ng drawers at cabinets, si hubby kasi ang bibili nun bago siya uuwi. hehe.

pwede po pa pm yung pinagpagawaan mo ng furniture? meron ba sila website? saka pwede po ba pumili ng wood para sa furniture, kasi i'm partial to molave and narra (the existing pcs i already have).

^cati, thanks sis. dark wood stain yung ginamit niya. gusto ko kasi dark brown e. tsaka maganda yung pagka-barnis ng mga yan, malabo lang kasi yung kuha sa phone ko e.

Try ninyo din ang Mandaue industries in Ortigas extension. I havenâ€™t been there pero highly recommended ng friend ko who just bought furnitures from there. Mura daw and okay ang quality/craftsmanship. Baka pumunta din kami by next month. Nung tumawag ako may sale daw sila. I ask for console table, lowest is P2,500. Then yung sala set about P8,500 daw. My friend bought a bed frame from there at around P9k and a TV rack for P1200. Check this out kaya lang walang price. Tawag na lang kayo to inquire about the price ng selected models na nakapost sa site nila then update ditto kung okay ha

ang maganda naman kasi sa made to order, magugustuhan mo talaga kasi design mo yun. bihira lang kasi yung makatyempo tayo ng like natin na design sa mga ready made na.

tsaka isa pa, makakapili ka kung anong material ang gagamitin sa design na gusto mo kung magpapagawa ka palang. sure ka na matibay.

just my opinion. thankful lang talaga ako at nagkakilala kami nung karpentero. kung hindi, Our Home din ang bagsak ko. nun ko pa kasi gusto bumili dun, kahit isang item lang sana.

dun sa P43,000.00, kung sa Our Home ako bumili, siguro 2 bed frame lang yan. hihi.

I went to Pasig last weekend to canvass the prices of furnitures. May isang kalye dun mismo sa kapasigan na puro furniture shops.

There is a wooden bed frame made of rubberwood daw in Malaysia, solid wood siya, queen size for P13500. That includes a queen size Uratex mattress na 6 inches ang thickness. Thereâ€™s a drawer pa at the bottom. Maganda even the headrest maganda ang design I think its already a good deal. May isang set pa na may kasamang 2 night tables I think its about 15k or 16k.

Sala set made of swiss foam daw for P6500. Thereâ€™s another one na gusto ko, tama ba yung, term is it sectional sofa, basta its 5 pieces then may mga kasama ng foot stool and center table for P10k. Sila yung gumagawa mismo ng sala set so pwedeng customized.

Sa isang store may nakita akong dining set made of gmelina tapos may mga wood carvings for P9k, walang cushion yung chairs, oval yung table, price is P9k. There another one made of rubber wood naman 6 seater din, rectangular for P7k.

May isa pa pala akong gustong sala set, made of wood din, forgot ko if its acacia or gmelina basta from Vigan daw. 6 pieces naman, isang 3 seater, isang 2 seater, dalawang single seater plus center table. P7k lang.

Ang mura di ba. Natuwa nga ako nung nagcanvass ako kasi ang laki talaga ng price difference sa malls.

Eto pa pala yung ibang items na nakita ko:

Computer table: P900 to P1100
Entertainment rack: P2500, malaki na eto, pwede na ding divider
Corner rack, 5 layers: P1500. Parang triangular yung shape niya, pang corner. Thereâ€™s another display rack naman rectangular and with glass for P2500.
Console table with 1 drawer: P2500
Divan: P3500. Thereâ€™s another one made of rattan nasa P1k plus lang
Footstools: P900

And marami pang iba.
