We had DIY guest sheets nung baptism and birthday ng son ko instead of a guestbook. My digiscrapping friends and I made the layouts, have 50 pcs of them printed 5R size in silk paper at Artscow for free (kasi they have promos na free ang photo prints up to 100 pcs pag new member and shipping lang ang babayaran) then sprawled sa mga guest tables (or sa registration table) with a small point permanent marker. We asked them to write their messages and collated afterwards. Tapos I just compiled them sa photo album (not the pocket type). Check out the baptism guest sheets here. Yung sa birthday naman, di ko pa kasi nacocompile sa album but the designs can be seen here and here.

Ang advantage ng guest sheets, mas maraming makakasulat since they don't have to wait for the guest book being passed around each table. And best of all, a lot economical.

sis maileen - ang ganda ng idea ng guest sheets. you're right, it's more economical and convenient. i might adopt this idea instead. pwedeng magtanong kung saan nakakakuha ng template ng designs? baka kulangin kasi ako ng oras kung mag-la-layout ako from scratch. lapit na bday ng baby ko eh.

^hi sis, actually maraming digital scrapbooking templates sa web for free but then with such, kelangan mo pa talaga ng mga digital kits to use.

I suggest you try na lang scrapblog. Pede kang magdesign (madali lang as in drop and drag lang ng elements) on their site for free tapos pag finished na, you can save them as image file and have them printed sa kodak, digiprint, etc. just like what my sister did on her wedding. Maraming elements and stuffs na pedeng magamit.

Actually pede ding magdesign diyan ng invites.

^korek ka dyan sis maileen1! sa scrapblog ko lang din ginawa ang diy invites ng baby ko pati yung gagamitin sa tarp! ngayon nga pati guestbook sa scrapblog na din. gamitin ko din yung idea mo na ipa-print na lang as 5R yung guestbook para maging guest sheets then lagay na lang sa photo album. galing ng idea mo sis!

sis maileen1 , ask ko lang din yung sa artscow. yung mga ipapa-print ba na mga pics manggagaling pa sa US? so yung shipping lang ang babayararan? how much yung naging shipping fee nyo for the 50 free 5r prints? gano katagal o kabilis bago dumating yung prints?

^sis, US company siya (I think) pero sa Hong Kong ang lab nila so dun manggagaling ang prints.

For the free 50 5R prints ang total lang na binayaran ko was $7.99 representing the shipping cost lang. Yung shipping fee depends on the number of prints kasi.

So if we're doing the math let's say Php 48 ang conversion ng peso, Php 383.52 lang ang total na binayaran ko. Way lot cheaper compared kung nagpaprint sa kodak, digiprint etc. I think nasa Php 13/copy ang printing nila ng 5R (13*50= Php 650). So halos kalahati ang natipid. Yun nga lang up to 10 business days ang shipping ng artscow kaya better plan and order ahead of time lalo na't via USPS ang shipping nila. Walang tracking ng order. MInsan mabilis ang shipping minsan naman matagal.

sis maganda ba quality ng mga pinaprint mo? kasi nung iche-checkout ko na sa artscow yung mga ipapa-print ko na 5R may sinasabi na low quality daw yung prints ko? kasi nasa 100-170kb lang yung size ng mga ipapa-print ko na guest sheets. kaya ikinansel ko muna at di ko muna tinuloy pagpapa-print. baka mamaya kasi sobrang labo ng result eh pero pagvin-view ko naman yung mga guest sheets ko ok naman malinaw naman. ang range lang kasi ng size ng mga pics ko nasa 200-500kb kaya nung gumawa na ako sa scrapblog ang naging size na lang nasa more or less nasa 100kb na lang. pano kaya yun? tuloy ko pa kaya?

^sis for best printing results kasi, mas maganda talaga kung hi res. So that means, larger file size. Yes, super ganda ng quality nung 5R invites ko...original file size nung nisave ko i think nasa more than 1 MB pa nga siya.

i suggest sis, use your original photo file sizes when making your layouts and save your layout as is..wag mo na lang iresize. Ulitin mo na lang siguro siya kasi kahit ipaprint mo siya sa kodak or sa local photo printers, talagang low printing quality din ang kalalabasan.

meron ba nagpiprint na back to back? ok sana yung idea ng scrapblog pero gusto ko sana pag na-compile lahat(like ring bind for example), hindi bare yung itsura nung likod..

and what pen do you usually use? or mas safe kung sa cardboard na lang i-print?? yung ibang photos kasi madaling mag fade diba? what more kung masulatan..

btw, how do i get to print the ones i made in scrapblog? pwede ba i-save yun into cd?
