me, too sometimes, i unintentionally said some foul words to people around me without noticing na it's kinda offensive na pala..but for me hindi pa lait yun.. misunderstanding lang lage ang nangyayari..

If laitera means making fun of other people in a mean way. Only when provoked.....I did not grow up in a culture where looking down at other people is normal.

I know that we all have laitera tendencies but I can't stand people who are super laiteras.  Especially the ones who make fun of other people without looking at themselves first. Like an unattractive girl making fun of other girls by calling them ugly. It really is pathetic and it shows very little self esteem. I honestly would never want to associate or be friends with that sort of lot. xxxx

Laitera ako kapag nagfifeeling yung nilalait ko. Pero pinakalaitera ako kapag may binubully sila. Ay naku, walang karapatang mambully kung hindi kagandahan ha. At walang magandang bully :p

i would say i am laitera to a certain extent. i choose topics or "flaws" which are fair game. for example, my previous boss was really dark skinned and he knew it. he calls himself negro without any insecurities(and in the most non-racist way) but when we're just having fun, hanging out, i joke around and call him maitim, nognog and between us it's funny and stupid. pero you should've seen the stares i got about how laitera i was being, especially since he was my supervisor. some brownnosers even came over to me to ask me to stop. if its true ( this is important, it has to be absolutely true, that's why i don't judge on being malandi, or maarte or whatever, it depends too much on perception)and accepted and the person can make fun of it himself, then so can i. and never ako nanlalait in a way na "i think i'm better than you are because you have this flaw and i dont."

Back in my elementary days a friend of mine asked me kung ano masasabi ko sa haircut niya. I told her na parang nagmukhang bakla siya. I was trying to be honest though it turned out na akala niya nilalait ko siya. After that school year never na kaming nagusap. I learned my lesson and from then on i tried not to comment so much. I keep it to myself na lang especially pag di ko talaga ka-close.

i think may pagka laitera ako, but not to the point na napapahiya na yun taong nilalait ko. besides, i only become one pag kasama ko friends ko. at nilalait ko lang yun may mga kalait-lait na ugali at mga atribida, yun tipo na papansin yun mga damit and porma.

 used to be when i was younger.. but now, not anymore. i got tired of it because it didn't make me feel any better in the first place. i try to see the beauty and the good in everyone nowadays.
