My baby still has cough and colds.  Is it possible to have 2 consecutive bouts of colds?  Nauna kasing magka-cold si baby and then I had it after a week.  Gumaling na ako't lahat meron pa rin syang cold.  I wonder kung ibang cold virus na ulit yung nakuha nya.

nina, nagka sore eyes pala baby mo... ang small pa man din nya at least 2 days lang and ok na baby mo.. pano mo na-diagnose na meron sore eyes? nag mumuta and red na red talaga eyes and teary?

liya, note ko yang meds na yan.. for future reference para malaman ko if yan din ang same medicine na ibibigay.. i heard na parang uso daw kasi dito samin..

When my daughter had a cold at 3mos, wala akong pinainom sa kanya. Most colds are viral in nature so wala talagang gamot yan except to keep your child comfortable and wait for it to pass. Babies are more resilient than we think they are. Hindi mahina ang resistensya ng 3month old, especially for breastfed babies because they still get the maternal antibodies through breastmilk and the placenta (nung in utero pa sila).

nadala agad sa pedia niya for meds kaya in 2 days ok na.

Share ko lang. Kakalabas lang ng baby ko sa hospital due to bacterial conjuctivitis or 'sore eyes'. Imagine mga sis, who would have thought na it could lead to hospitalization. On the onset of his sore eyes, I immediately call his pedia tas nag prescribe naman sya ng meds kaagad. But came almost a week. Nag worsen yung condition nya kasi ayaw bumaba ang fever and wala nang ganang kumain and dumede. Kaya na alarma na ako, sinugod ko na sa hospital. We were in the ER for 3 straight hours kasi hindi sya makabit kabitan ng IV. As in 7 failed IV insertions. He was crying so so hard. I couldn't bear looking at his face while his the ER bed. Pressured din yung 4 doctors na nag attempt mag insert ng IV nya kasi I was crying also. As in hagulgol kasi I can't stand the fact that my little boy is suffering tas I can't do anything to console him. Traumatic experience talaga for us.

hi kami din kakalabas lang ng 1yr 10month old ko yesterday sa hospital.

bronchopneumonia naman. monday last week brought her sa pedia for checkup kasi nga biglang inubo nun sunday night with lagnat pa. pedia gave her antibiotic lang, coz her throat's all red. viral lang daw.

tue, wed ganun padin. fever and mas lumalala pa yung ubo nya. i brought her again to the pedia come thursday AM and ayun for admission na daw kami [textspeak!] dr kasi its broncho na nga daw that's why she's having a hard time breathing. as in ang bilis [textspeak!] ng hinga kasi ni baby.

i asked for a senior resident pedia to do the IV insertion. we have a history kasi with MMC before na they tried 13, yes THIRTEEN times before they actually got a good insert, and she was 14days old at that time.

good thing come friday noon, hindi na cya nilalagnat. but grabe she still feels so bad. she cries all the time. gusto nya karga lang, she doesn't want anybody to come near her. just me. even her dad ayaw nya talaga. she doesnt eat or drink at all din. sabi ng pedia its expected daw talaga.

finally we were released kahapon. so far her appetite's back naman na. pedia gave her 4 meds to take pa. hopefully she'll be okay na talaga.

Just recently nagka tigdas hangin ang baby ko..

He started having colds Monday morning.. nung gabi nilagnat at nag spike to 39.9.. gave him paracetamol and then in the morning dinala namin sa pedia.. Nagbigay ng antibiotic (Zithromycin) to be given once a day for 5 days daw and bigay din sila ng ibuprofen and suppository pag daw 39.5 up ang lagnat.. for 3 consecutive days super taas ng lagnat nya.. come Thursday nawala ang lagnat pero nung hapon napansin ko meron konti rashes sa gilid ng face.. By friday nagkarashes ang tummy and back area.. pero wala na lagnat that time.. Today, Sunday, nag clear na ang rashes.. and it was a clear indication of tigdas hangin... sa awa naman ng Dyos nakakabawi na kumain and milk... naloka ako dun sa pagtaas ng temp! haaay...

^do you know why antibiotics were prescribed for tigdas hangin, which is viral?

^oo nga, usually pag viral hayaan lang matapos yung course.  antihistamine lang for rashes o paracetamol for fever.

Meron kasi kasamang flu and maga tonsils nya. Ako lang pala nag conclude na tigdas hangin based on what I've researched and sabi ng nurse na pinoy dito. Si pedia ang sabi viral lang. Walang medical term na binanggit.  pero happy na kasi magaling na son ko

Hi Mommies, I just want to share something...

3. All my kids hindi kumpleto sa vaccines. Hindi ko sinasabi na okay ito at hindi ko rin sinasabi na hindi rin to okay...ang akin lang at gusto ko lang ishare na naishare rin sakin ng parents ko na which turned out sa study ngayon turned out to be true pala... that vaccines may 'sometimes' cause autism and other illnesses na hindi mo akalain na naging dulot ng vaccines... i hope nagets nyo ibig ko sabihin... Paikliin natin, basta ang explanation lang sakin na napatunayan ko rin naman sa mga studies ngayon... "Marami side effects ang vaccines" na baka dumating sa point na hindi na treatable in the future...

Ang mga pinapalagay ko na lang na vaccine yung mga importante lang, like polio vaccine. Why? According to doctors, 'sometimes' you could get polio thru swimming pools...pag nakainom sila tubig from the pool. I dont know yet how accurate but point here is hindi ngayon makikita ang epekto...pag lumaki na sila.

agree ako sa iyo sis. i have read a lot na yung mga vaccines, live micro-organisms yung ipapasok sa bata. add to it na may mga mineral content yung iba (like mercury sa MMR) which is not so good. there is even a lawsuit for this eh. (http://www.jabs.org.uk/pages/johnston-mmr.asp)

OT: do you guys know an open minded pedia na hindi magbibigay ng negative threats on not having the child vaccinated before 2 years old?

btw, how do you sisses go about if the kid keeps on vomiting kapag may sakit. he is soooo picky eater pa naman and maselan ang tiyan.

talaga sis? i actually believe about the "leaky gut" theory. saan ang clinic ni dr. chen? cavite area kasi kame.  how old is your child ba? yung pamangkin ko kasi is 3y/o na. saka, yung animal parade acidophikidz ba is masarap or like candy? thanks in advance. btw, he is suspect for asd ha, kaya talagang gusto namin mag-improve ang gut nya. thanks ulet.

pedialyte nga yung binigay ng doctor, nagpacheck up na lang sila sa malapit na clinic kesa dumayo pa ng san juan de dios, baka lalo maexhaust yung bata. ayaw ng bata yung lasa. haay naku..

Sis fairy, sorry to hear about you and your baby's traumatic experience
As for me, I'd recommend you apply EMLA cream and then put tegaderm or kahit tape ontop of the cream, wait an hour and then have baby vaccinated or iv insertion.  it's never failed me. kapag vaccination, i even make a circle with a marker then i apply (don't rub) the cream and then tape. wait one hour and then my kids don't even feel the needle!
