Can't find any thread about chicken pox.. ano po ginagawa niyo pag may bulutong baby niyo?

your pedia will prescribe meds (acyclovir yata)and something for the itch
my pamangkin was only around 7 or 9 months nung nagkaron ng chicken pox..nahawa sya sa dad nya (brother ko nakuha nya kasi sa hospital where he accepts/treats his patients) ..tapos nahawa din ako sa kanila hahahaha!! 3 tuloy kami sa bahay na merong chicken pox.

Pia, nebulize ko lang sila then I make them drink lots of water.  I also double their dose of vitamin C.   The ubo goes away after a few days.  Kapag hindi naman sila mukhang hirap huminga, stop ko na rin nebulization.  I only take them to the pedia if more than a week na and hindi gumagaling or nag-iimprove ang ubo.

Gusto ko rin nga try yung oregano tea na sinasabi mo before.

btw, if you dont have oregano at home, another option is lemon + honey mixture.. dapat warm.. it's a very good alternative to oregano.. when Kyle had cough in Feb and March, yan lang pinainom ko.. (nalanta na kasi oregano.. lol.. ang layo ng farm kaya tinamad ako bumili).. the cough didn't last for more than 3 days.. he'll spit the phlegm right after taking the lemon+honey.. til now hindi pa sya nagkakasipon or ubo.. (touch wood wag naman na muna sana)..

when my daughter starts having colds, i'd give her natra-bio allergy relief. if clogged yung nose, i'd give her pulsatilla as well. for cough, chestal cough syrup. all are homeopathic and are proven effective for my daughter if given upon onset.

chestal and allergy relief are both available from healthy options while the pulsatilla i get it from her pedia. medyo expensive lang compared to OTC meds

Yes, Salbutamol (Ventolin, Asmalin) ang use namin.  We use 1-2 nebules, as needed. Kailangan kasi mag-nebulize para makahinga nang maayos sila. Usually, mas madalas at night kasi naka-aircon.  Advice sa amin, if for 3-4 days, it's not working, take them for a check-up na.

Please note that I resort to nebulization in instances where active pa sila and kailangan lang ng tulong para makahinga nang maayos.  The moment I notice na matamlay, I take them to the doctor na.

Isang klase lang ba ang Chestal Cough Syrup sa Healthy Options? Basta sabihin ko Chestal Cough Syrup alam na nila yun?

Anong dosage for 2.8 yrs old & ilang times a day bigay nyo? or you just follow what's written  sa box/insert?

dyann, just ask the SA to give you the one for children. just follow the dosage written on the box. for homeopathic meds, it is usually given more often as compared to regular meds. like for allergy relief, pag malala colds ng daughter ko, dr cricket said to give it every 2 hours. pag nag-subside, give every 4hrs.

reminder lang on homeopathic, based on my experience:
1) dont expect it to be a miracle med that you'll immediately see results. like what i said before it is most effective if given regularly upon onset.
2) it is possible it wont take effect, esp if it was given if malala na yung sickness. in this case, a stronger med is required. the advantage is you dont have to resort immediately to stronger meds. usually kasi ang tendency, onset pa lang, bibigyan na kaagad ng strong meds, when all is needed is a little TLC and rest.

Dr. Chen din kami since I gave birth to Red, but since she left her Asian Hospital Clinic hindi na kami nakabalik sa kanya, layo na ng Makati eh. But I surely miss her Natural approach, when I have time na maybe after Red turns 3 baka balik na kami sa kanya. Kaya I sent sis hunny_ally a PM agad when I read na si Dr. Chen nag-prescribe ng Chestal :-)

Nung below 2 yrs. old pa si Red, Dr. Chen used to say na just double the dose of Vitamin C pag may sipon, then Salinase pag barado nose. Pag Cough naman dati usually dahil sa allergy so Virlix. But now Chestal is good, hindi natuloy na magka-phlegm si Red, konting coughing na lang, bihira lang, and hindi sya nahihirapan, correct ka sis hunny_ally pag onset pa lang binigyan na ng Chestal, effective...

oh it's Php475 lang pala. i remember i got mine Php500+. nagulat nga si hubby. lol! my daughter likes the taste of chestal so walang pahirapan to give it.

what i like about dr cricket she's very accommodating when you text her. actually she's my daughter's alternate pedia. my grand-aunt is her main pedia. but for sickness like these, mas gusto ko yung natural approach niya.

Sa healthy option, als. Pero since wala na kmi sa pinas, sa amazon ako bumibili. Sa ate ko sa US pinapadeliver kasi free shipping within US. Veggie caps sya. Binabalatan ang capsule then mix ko sa water that he uses to drink his milk. It's 1,200 pesos if I remember it right. No overdose kasi daw veggie based. Ask mo din kar dr. Cricket If you're interseted. But seriously, nakatulong Kay kyle. Mabilis sya nakakabawi ng weight after a cough. Specially ngayon teething sya.

^^ thanks hunny_ally  I agree she's very accommodating sa text, kahit ang haba-haba ng text ko & gabi na, she replies agad. I remember when Red got hospitalized last year sa Makati Med. We were texting mula gabi then the following day din & her mom has an operation din that day but she replied quickly pa rin to all my messages, and I love her for taking really good care of Red on his 1st (and hopefully his last) hospitalization.
