My son had rashes today, we called his pedia, he asked kung pinawisan siya which he did when we went to this hardware store at Libis, ang sabi lang ng pedia allergies lang daw. Im so bothered kasi ang dami talaga but on the good side naman wala siyang fever

Sabi naman nung maid namin tigdas hangin daw.

tigdas hangin (Roseola) is usually preceded by a very high fever for about 3 days. It is usually after day 3 (or 4 or 5) pa that the rash appears.

Mga sis, ayos na si Marga ko, pero pag napapadami ang eat nya ng rice, nagsusuka sya kaya hinay hinay lang muna ang pag eat nya, eh matakaw pa naman yun.  malaks na din sya mag milk nagugustuhan na nya ang promil lactose free.  sana tuloy tuloy na, kase malayo ako sa kanya,   kahapon once na lang sya nag pooops, the other day kase 3x a day sya pero normal lang naman daw yun. 

bday na nya sa may 11 and sana ma gain ulet nya yung dati nyang weight,laki kase ng pinayat nya eh.wala na yung chubby cheeks nya.

kayo mga sis, ayos na ba yung mga babies nyo?

my daughter also have rashes all over her body since sunday.  she had her PCV7 vaccine last saturday and the injection area on her leg was swollen and may rashes din.  no fever but she was super matamlay up until yesterday.  she seems ok naman na as of this morning pero andun pa din ang rash.  its on her face, neck, ears, back, arms, legs ... haaay!! i wanted to bring her to her pedia today kaya lang malayo ang clinic ni pedia pag tuesdays.  we will bring her tomoro na lang.  what could it be?

balik hospital na naman si lia...3 weeks ago kakalabas lang niya hospital...bumalik na naman pagsusuka...birthday pa naman niya ng friday...thurs nagsimula yung pagsusuka tapos saturday she's weak na...too bad that she missed the joint party we prepared for her 2nd birthday and her little sister's baptismal....nakakaloka talaga! the night before binyag sa hospital ako sleep and sa church na ko nagbihis. tinuloy pa rin namin yung 'party' for our youngest and di na pwede i-move ang booking ng venue at baptismal, plus people prepared food already... huhuhu...saturday night namin siya tinakbo.

sabi ng doctor her horshoe shaped kidney makes her prone to infection. we are still waiting for the result of urine culture...it's weird kasi last week we just submitted her pee sample and wala naman nakita...i'm thinking tuloy na baka di naman sha fully magaling before. kasi if this is a new infection ang bilis naman...plus we are very careful of her na...i dunno what went wrong again this time...

we are thinking not to bring her to daycare anymore baka kasi dun niya nakukuha ang virus...pero i'm worried na she will be behind in her development naman. she needs association with other kids kasi since we speak more than one language at home. sa pinas naman walang problem dahil kalaro niya cousins ko. if she won't go to daycare soon, someday she'll need to go to kindergarten and school anyway...but i don't wanna let her just get sick like that...i've read kasi na she needs to get exposed din so that her body will develop immunity from those bacteria...later on her life di na siya magiging sakitin dahil immuned na nga...i'm so confused na and i dunno what to do anymore...

naasar ako sa mga doctor...feeling ko inuuto na lang kami though i don't understand their explanation...si hubs naman bantay ngayon since it'll be easier for communication...dati kasi ako bantay at kasama ko baby namin dun coz she's breastfed. hirap kasi di ako fluent in dansk. just today they confirmed that she have TURNER SYNDROME...after 6months from the test ngayon lang nila kinonfirm! grrrrr... sa st.luke's one month i got the result already...good thing na free nga medical services dito but we don't have that much choices and walang specific doc na in charge sa case niya.

just when i thought she's getting better na...the sickness is coming back...it's like a nightmare that keeps on hunting us...

help mommies, what do you do pag may cough si baby? yung son ko kasi nahawa na naman ng cough & colds sa nursery. pati tuloy my 4 month old baby nahawa tuloy sa kanya just when i thought na malakas naman immunity ni baby since she's breastfed. im just thankful,  so far both of them has no fever. concern ko lang si baby kasi she cant talk pa eh

When my son has cough/colds I just keep him as comfortable as possible. Keep the nose clear. Use saline solution on the nose. Use steam. Keep him semi-upright kung nababara kapag nakahiga siya. Of course lots of fluids. Since 4mos pa lang baby mo, I'd nurse as much as I can. Encourage her to nurse often.

Breastfeeding does boost the immune system but it doesn't mean na never na magkakasakit ang baby mo. My son gets sick pa din of course but he usually recovers from it very quickly and hindi ganon ka-severe ang illness.

thanks grumpybear! i also thought about nursing her often, but hindi kaya ma overfed siya? what's the rationale, is it because she needs lots of fluid? last night while she was coughing, ayun nagvomit..which i think is ok lang para lumabas yung pleghm. as far as i know, hindi naman siya puwede pa ng cough syrup di ba? kaya im thinking if i should bring her to the pedia na.

^it's fluid therapy plus she gets antibodies from your breastmilk.
and no, cough syrups aren't usually prescribed. at least not by our doctors. the FDA has issued stringent warnings against cough/cold medicines for babies kasi

Kung madaming pleghm, remember na ang milk eh nakakapagpadami niyan. SO if possible, more on water ang ibigay.

^ this is true. Cow's milk is the biggest source of allergens to our kids. Accorrding to a non-traditional doctor that we spoke to, animal milk is not meant for humans but breast milk is. Pansinin niyo, companies have to process them pa para they could be fit for human consumption. Yung breast milk, they're readily available, they're safe and filled with natural elements that are meant to nurture our babies.

mga sis anong ginagawa nyo pag may tigdas ang baby nyo? my 11 month old baby had fever on and off for 3 days na tapos ngayonlang meron mga rashes na parang bungang araw na tumutubo. sabi ng nanay ko tigdas daw.

later pa kami punta sa doctor for check up... hay kahapon nagpacheck up kami sa doctor nya pina blood test at dengue test at stool test. negative naman ang dengue thank God. yung stool nya maraming bacteria. pinachange yung milk nya to lactose free.
