Hi everyone,

my brother is set to take this exam. Any tips? Recommendations for reviewers and the like? How was your experience with this exam like?

ok lang.professional or subprofessional ba? ppt ba or computer assisted exam?

why not get an MSA reviewer....most of the questions nasa exam...(though hindi eksakto na yun ang tanong pero ganung mga tipo ang tanong)

be there an hour before the exam otherwise forfeited bayad mo pag nalate ka.

magreview about bill of rights. marami niyan.

current events, di mawawala

sentence construction ang pinakamarami.

sa math, business math mostly.

use no.2 mongol pencil.

^I took this exam (Professional) 2 years ago. Hindi naman sobrang hirap pero nakakapagod hehe! Ang naaalala ko yung reading/comprehension, sobrang haba ng babasahin mo na hindi naman nakakaaliw basahin kaya by the time matapos kong basahin, ang sakit na ng ulo ko hehe! Ang dami pa non, parusa talaga!

Tapos sa math nahirapan din ako...may mga algebra questions kase eh ever since hirap talaga ko don hehe!

Ang tip ko lang (aside from the ones given by miss resilient), magdala sya ng relo

(hindi ko sure kung may wall clock bawat classroom) para ma-monitor nya yung time na i-a-allot nya sa bawat subjects kase pag binigay yung questionnaire nandun na lahat, so sya yung bahala kung anong gusto nyang unahin kaya lang minsan diba sa sobrang focus mo sa subject/question na yun nawalan ka na ng time para sa iba. Tsaka wag syang magmamadali, nung nag-exam kase ako yung iba ang bilis matapos...may 1 hour pa pero nagpasa na sila so sobrang nakakapressure pero 'wag syang papadala kase 'di naman pabilisan yun. If he still has extra time, use it for review. Sayang kase ang dami pa namang bumabagsak dun, 75 ang passing if I remember it right.

^mababa pa ang passmark nung time mo, the time i took the said exam was 80 per cent na..so kung 79per cent nakuha mo, nakupo bagsak na. and di na sila nagpapadala ng notice kung pasado or bagsak ka..you can check it on line na.

in regards sa coverage ng exams...about math..hina ko rin noon kasi sa math pero ewan ko ba natuto at bumilis computation skills ko nung nagwork na ko...siguro huhusay ka lang pag may application na.

sabi nga ng bestbud ko nung time na nagreview pa ako...wag ka na magreview sa math tutal di mo naman naiintindihan yan eh..wahahaha

but i thank God, naipasa ko rin siya..nakakahilo nga yung reading comprehension...tapos 2 hours tulog ko before that exam day.

^Last july 2006 ako nag-exam... hindi ako sure kung 75 nga yung passing nung time na yun... baka 80 na din, di ko lang maalala hehe!

^^mas mahal ba? pag computerized, hindi ba Puro "next" at "previous" yun? anyway, pen & paper ako para mas madaling balikan yung di nasagutan tsaka madali ding lagpasan yung iba...

i took the professional-ppt exam november last year. half halos ng exam reading comprehension and vocabulary/grammar. nahilo ako sa math! di ko maalala kung paano solution sa mga questions. natatandaan kong problems pagkuha ng percent, base at rate and numerical reasoning madami din. yun mga question naman regarding the philippine constitution sobrang basic lang.

@all red- oo mas mahal ang computerized..pero malaman mo naman agad ang result after the exam..so para di masakit kung bagsak ka..may ppt na hehe

basta dapat mabilis sya mag answer, be a fast reader.
I passed both subprof and prof, yung mga reviewer helpful yun sa National BS madami pili ka na lang...

80 sis ang passing grade sa civil service exam. kahit sub-professional or professional exam dapat ganito ang grade. lower than 80 bagsak na.

konti lang ang test sa Pilipino mas maraming english. iisang question lang sa bawat category.

^right..buti na lang i got the passing grade hehe..kunsabagay..ano nga bang difference ng 80 sa 99 e pareho namang passed yun di ba.

ang tip dyan wag magreview hehhe. . . ganun ginawa ko years ago.

basta ngkayayaan lang magexam kame wala ng review review. mas okei if fresh grad kapalang kase fresh pa yung mga napag-aralan.

at kung cum laude ka nung grumaduate equivalent na iyon para sa csc professional exam so no need nang mag exam.

Hindi ba forever valid? Hehe.

I took the exam in 2002, I got 88% ata. Parang ganun. I just studied the normal reviewers I used when I was applying for colleges. I reviewed for a day or two. Kasi parang kung anong stuck knowledge mo from high school, yun din naman lalabas.

It was computerized so I got the results ASAP.
