I want a sewing machine na. Target ko 1st week of november.
My mom, sis, and hubby advised me against buying a brand new machine which cost around 11k
Sabi niya ningas kugon daw kasi ako
Oh well aminado naman ako na madalas ganun nga ako. Saka daw hindi ko din magagamit pa kasi kalikutan stage ni baby ko (2 years old)

Eh since gusto ko talaga magkaroon now na, and ending pupunta na lang ako pier to look for a decent used machine. Sabi ng tito ko 3k lang daw matino na makukuha ko. Oh well not bad na yun pangpractice

may portable din ba sa pier? okay na ba kahit hindi bnew bilhin kong sewing machine? kasi marami sa mga sis natin puro bnew na brother binili so naisip ko may cons rin ang pagbili sa pier. pa-advise mga sisses. TIA!

 currently enrolled ako sa FIP okay naman. pero hindi ako makapagpraktis sa bahay kasi wala pa ko sewing machine. although meron kamin SINGER na lumang di padyak. sa FIP kasi industrial, pero ayaw ko pa bumili ng ganun dahil wala akong mapapaglagyan.

gusto ko na talaga bumili pero magiging busy pa kaya pinipigil ko muna sarili ko kasi matatambak lang. ipon  muna. another 10k na nanaman kasi e nag loan pa ko para makaenroll sa FIP hehe

Just bought a brand new Brother xl5500 sewing machine for my mom. So far so good naman siya. My mom is also enrolled in tesda right now kaya nagpabili sakin sewing machine. Muka naman satisfied siya

Balak namin sa pier nalang bumili. Kaso di naman kami marunong tumingin pa ng maayos n sewing machine. Sana sulit pera sa brand new

Meron akong mini portable sewing machine pero di nya kaya magtahi ng makakapal like denim kaya bumili ako ng brandnew Brother GS2700 may 27stitches na sya, at meron ding pang buttonhole at edger.  Super mura sa SG, 199sgd lang (6,500+php)

share ko lang yung tinahi kong costume ng anak ko, ginamit nung halloween party sa school.
ang mahal kasi pagbibili or magpapagawa, atleast ko marunong kahit basic ng tahi. pwede na.

Nice to read all of the stories of those who have taken up sewing classes.
I'm convinced I should take the Dressmaking class at Tesda or the Clothing Technology course at SOFA. Ang concern ko na lang is the schedule.

As for the sewing machines, looks like madami sainyo an kumuha ng Brother, but I've also seen some of you na Janome. So ayan, at least nagnarrow down na ang choices ko. Brother or Janome. What would you say is better and what model would you recommend? :-)

my dad and i were browsing at books at booksale and i found this pattern book with cd.. turns out i just need to input my measurements and voila, i can print the pattern na tee hee!.. talk about luck huh.. best part is, i got it for just 200 php tee hee!

@sis meowskitty, sa festival mall alabang kami nakabili. Sa western. 9.5k yata yung price. Dapat sana dun sa automatic centre kami bili kasi meron dun latest model ng sewing machine. kaso parang di masyado maalam yung salesman dun. Wala man lang demo. Unlike sa western tinuruan nila mom ko while i was paying. Actual talaga. Katuwa lang kasi they really know the product that they are selling

may nabasa din ako dito gumagamit ng juki.  Hindi rin ako marunong tumingin ng maganda makina sa pier.  Mura sana sa pier.

Wow great find!  Ang saya naman nito! Parang gusto ko rin, esp since di pa ako marunong magpattern making.  Anong title nung book sis at san mong branch nabili?  I'll try to hunt for this in other booksale branches

@iscream: thanks sis. kaso taga-marikina ako anlayo ng alabang. pero ige i will give brother a try. pero siguro yung mga 10 stitches lang baka di ko mamaximize e hehe..

@rianne_mallows: ang swerte mo sis. kasi dun sa Fashion institute may libro dun abount basic fashion ewan pero nakita ko content meron sa patterns. hindi na bago itsura pero ang price approx. P1900 ata. pa-share naman san mo na nakita yung book laking tipid! hehe

iniiwasan ko sana mag pattern-making class. bukod sa gastos wala rin akong oras baka masayang bayad ko. tska nasasaksihan ko classes nila parang ang hirap tska kailangan talaga tiyaga. kaya nga minsan rin kahit gusto ko aralin through book nahihirapan pa rin ako intindihin

sa Fashion may mga makina sila Juki. 2nd hand daw yung mga yun. pero industrial sya kaya mabilis. pero maganda kasi may kasama na table. sabi nung nagtuturo dun P15,000 daw ang bili nila. ewan lang kung gaano katotoo

Sayang nga eh, di na ako nakapunta for the free lessons. Hayan, di ko tuloy ma-maximize ang features ng Brother ko. Actually, meron naman sa manual, pero I'm more visual absorbing info kaya I prefer lessons and demos.
