I have 2 friends who studied at FIP. D sila magkakilala ha. And pareho yung feedback nila sakin, medyo d daw sila natuto. D ko lang sure why. Lumipat yung isa sa SLIM's sa makati. And so far, mas ok daw dun.

I don't sew at all nor am I an expert. I am also someone who kinda learned from watching my mom and now I myself am interested.

Anyway, I recently bought a sewing machine for my mom. Brother rin yung brand and I got the highest model they had since she really sews and just needed a portable one.

Back to your question, all 3 available models of Brother here in the Philippines are all BASIC sewing machines. None of them are even computerized or have embroidery features. So, amongst the three which one should you get? It really depends on how many of the available stitches they have you will REALISTICALLY use. If its just the straight and zigzag, you're better off with the lowest model.

They recently had a promo where they had a free sewing class (more like a class on how to use the machine + a free case giveaway).  Most people bought the highest model (just because it was the nicest design and para complete na raw) and only  one bought the 2nd model (nanghinayang raw kasi sa 1k difference + she liked the "cute" design of the machine). During the demo, there really wasn't much difference except the look of the machine and number of stitches they had. So again, its up to you and what your priorities for the need of the machine are.

Btw, I bought the machine in Western (Greenhills). Western is the cheapest in all the appliance stores and give you discounts when you pay in cash.  Tas when they give you a discount, ask for more pa and usually they'll give in. Or you can use your credit card and pay in 0% installment. Others, like SM, do not offer this.

i'd rather go for FIP than in Negoskwela sis....im also from nova...i had my dressmaking training in TESDA Women Center last 2006..

didnt continue na with Nego training. i asked some people at parang di naman daw sulit e. i "inherited" an old sewing machine as my practice machine muna. as for TESDA, walng Dressmaking seminar dito sa Fairview e. Nasa Taguig talaga

Btw, saan ako makakabili ng tela aside sa SM? Ilaya masyado pang malayo. Id like to make novice level projects muna para masanay at maforce matuto

I'm a self taught sewing enthusiast din. Enthusiast kasi halos lahat gusto kong gawin with sewing. Pati nga yata pouch na ginagamit ko for order e tinatahi ko din with my Brother machine.

And yes, sobrang limited nung mga offered machines dito. Wish ko lang magkaron ako ng Bernina

hi sis okay ang brother machines for beginners kaso i find it slow lang talaga.. since natuto ako sa highspeed portable singer machine.. good investment din naman siya sis.. i bought the one with 25 stitches pala..

my husband just bought a second hand brother sewing machine (BM2600) from a friend of ours. between us sya talaga yung marunong manahi. so far nakagawa na sya ng table cover and little jobs like pagputol ng pants. i'd like to start learning how to sew din. the brother sewing machine looks easy to operate.

just learned sewing just this july, now im making lotsa money online selling skirts and tube tops =),i get 10 orders in a week. Bought portable sewing machine sa pier lang. Its Really fulfilling, self taught din,although my lola checks my sewn clothes once in a while.

Ive made a lacey black dress na din, feels good na nakakagawa ka ng clothes na gusto mo for yourself..
