Hi girlies! I am new here. me and my h2b are planning to get married sa Pinas next year. I have several questions
1) ilan weeks  ba talaga kailangan to be in Pinas to be able to get a ML?
2) h2b is foreigner and both of us are based abroad kasi, will 1 week before the ceremony be enough to for us to sort out the documents needed for a  civil ceremony?
3) we have already resigned to the idea of having a church wedding kasi nga we don't have time to be in pinas to sort out the documents needed, super strict ang Catholic church
4) we are planning to get married before kami umuwi, do you mas madali na sa amin ayusin yun documents para sa marriage blessing sa pinas?
5) kailangan pa din ba namin ng ML?
6) we have aready looked at a venue - it will be a Garden rites ( marriage blessing)
7) can you recommend an officiating minister to do this please I heard of A. centeno, J Maderazo
 Please help!! nalolokah na ako sa kaiisip how we will be able to put this together

Sis ^iej, are you planning to get married in Embassy kung san kayo naka based right? If that's the case ipa "Report for Marriage" mo nalang eto sakanila pagkatapos para maforward sa NSO records sa Pinas. After few months lalabas na ang marriage contract niyo sa NSO. Legal ng considered yan. Actually kapag sa Embassy kayo nagpakasal--legal na yun.

Hindi niyo na kakailanganin kumuha pa ng ML sa Pinas pag uwi niyo kasi nga kasal na kayo di ba? There's no need for judge anymore. Mas madali nga kung tutuusin kung magpa pa church kayo kasi legally kasi na kayo and you only need the church blessing or ceremony.

mga sis, i found out na di pala nagkakasal sa Church week afer Holy Week, eh yun yun planned date namin, 2nd April 2016. May ma-recommend ba kayo na minister to perform the ceremony (blessing) para lang meron kami wedding rites sa 'pinas (we are already married abroad), iba pa rin kasi na meron ceremony kesa reception lang. So, our only option now is to have a garden ceremony. Many thanks

another question... have you heard of Mr Angel Estrada? Sya yata nag-organise ng wedding officiants sa Philippines be it Catholic, Christian,Mulsim,non-sectarian etc. Reliable ba sya?

Hi sis iej, i'll just put my 2pence worth in.  Me and my hubby are both based overseas as well. We just had our civil wedding last month. But we will have our church wedding next year in the Philippines.  We've already booked most of our suppliers.  For our officiating priest, we will be bringing our own. All we had to do is liaise with the church, and provide all the requirements needed.  We didn't had to go through Mr. Angel Estrada, whom we haven't heard of by the way.  So I don't know how he could have  been an organiser for Catholic wedding or catholic priests.  Since for Catholic weddings, it really depends on the requirements of the parish church you are getting married in. I believe this also goes to the other religious clergies as well. He may be an officiant for non sectarian unions, I don't know.

To answer your previous question regarding marriage license, since we had already been married, all we have to do is register our wedding by filing our marriage certificate in the PE in the country where we are staying in. There is no need to apply for marriage license in the Phils., since we are already married.  I believe, based on what you have shared you are also planning on getting married prior to going home to the Philippines as well.

Hi Jazrina,

You mean sa Tagaytay courtroom or outside? Yes dapat Tagaytay based yung judge. If you are planning to have an outdoor civil wedding, you can ask Tagaytay's municipal judge. Im not sure nga lang if may appointed Judge na sila kasi before OIC lang and hindi daw siya nagcoconduct ng wedding outside courtroom. You can also try the RTC Judge. Pumapayag siya na outside courtoom but need to check with his schedule and nagsschedule lang sila 1 month before the wedding.
Unless may kakilala kayo judge na willing magofficiate sa inyo sa Tagaytay pero ang alam ko sa documents need nila ilagay na sa district nila kayo kinasal and hindi sa Tagaytay.

Kaya kami we opted to have a SO kesa Judge. Kasi outdoor wedding kami and hassle kumuha ng Judge.

Me too! May fraternity brod/prof in crim law ako (from my sorority) na justice ngayon sa SC. Gusto ko sana talaga dun pakasal kaso si hubby ayaw nya ganun. Arte lang. Kaya sa sorority sis na judge ko na lang kami kinasal haha
