^ Which album, the latest one? Not sure about that, but they did release their previous albums here... Their newest album is the most popular of them all, so most likely it is (or will be) released here. :-)

I recommend you listen to their albums chronologically. The first one is the best. The new one is my least favorite because it sounds the least interesting/original but it isn't bad ('Sex on Fire' makes me cringe though). I like Taper Jean Girl, Molly's Chambers, Red Morning Light, On Call, Fans, Four Kicks, The Bucket, Trani (Bob Dylan's favourite)... I like a lot of their work. It's pretty rare for me to find modern rock bands which are just as good nowadays...

I got all their songs on the pooter, thanks to my friend, she converted me to become a  KOL whore, but I want a physical album.
Like you, I'm not that big of a fan of their latest album but it's a big change from their previous works so I'll give them credits for that. I enjoyed Aha more and I didn't listen to them chronologically I got BOTT first then Aha then YAYM. If you're gonna ask me, I prefer listening to Aha, BOTT then YAYM followed by OBTN.

One more thing. KOL's cds have very detailed recording. You can see na di nila tinipid ito. Sobrang defined mga instruments.

glad i found this thread! i love Kings Of Leon too! (and yeah, i think i'm in love with Caleb Followill LOL) it's so hard to pick a favorite song cause i love most of their songs, but i've been playing Milk and King of the Rodeo nonstop for the past few days sa albums naman, like sis aeon, i like AHA first, followed by BOTT, YAYM, then OBTN last

i went to music one greenbelt pala the other day to ask if they have OBTN na, the girl didn't even know who they are haha i heard they sound really good live, sana they'd do a show in Asia! pupunta talaga ko dun kahit maubos ang pera ko! wishful thinking lang hehe

aside from the kings, i also like U2, the wallflowers, smashing pumpkins - basta alt rock of the 90s. nung high school naman, Guns N Roses and Bon Jovi (nanood pa kami ng concert sa Rizal Stadium haha!)

^^ Extreme was real cool. Do you like Nuno's solo efforts? He's a frequent featured artist in those guitars that rule the world recordings. Gary Cherone did way better in Extreme than in his short uneventful stint with Van Halen!

KOL won the Grammys for Best Rock Performance for Sex On Fire! Not my fave song off their OBTN album but still, happy they won!

^sis sa Odyssey Mega may OBTN! Nakita ko nung sat, muntik na akong magtatalon sa tuwa eh. P355 lang sya, shocking that it's cheap. Also they got Franz Ferdinand's Tonight (latest album) sa mga fans ng FF dyan at naghahanap ng album.

Ooohhh... meron palang fans ng KOL dito. I'm a fan too! I have all their albums. Sa OBTN nila Closer ang pinaka-favorite ko (Strangers in this spooky town.., I love it!). They really sound good LIVE. Watched them perform in YT, meron silang live performances dun and it sounded like their album. I was floored.

^*squee* sis you have no idea how happy I am at hindi ako nag-iisang nagpa-fangirl sa mga Followill sa pinas. Sa friday pa ako makakabili kasi wala na akong moolah pasensya na sa pagka-OT.

Ang pinaka-ayaw kong track sa OBTN ay 17. Nababaduyan ako. Fave ko din ang Closer at Sex on Fire.

^ OT: nako sis, mga friends ko pinipilit ko i-convert to become Followill lovers pero ayaw akong pansinin - mga tipong David Archuleta ang type nila ano ba yan haha (no offense to Archuleta fans though )

sa OBTN i like I Want You, Frontier City (b-side), and Be Somebody (Use Somebody di ko masyado feel parang medyo cheesy dating sa kin hehe). ang funny lang cause almost the same yung title nung 2. if you haven't yet, check out their home movies on youtube, nasa KOL YT page. astig!

just started listening to Franz Ferdinand - liking them so far i don't know if it's just me but i'm getting some 80s vibe from them - parang they'd fit in sa mga movie soundtrack ni adam sandler? hehe!

Sis hotshot, that's exactly the vibe they're aiming, some 80s party music. It will get you on your feet immediately, listen to their 1st album although I'm more inclined to listen to their latest work, mas madaming songs na pwede ka talagang sumayaw kahit mag-isa lang.
