La Union: where to stay?

ganon? hayy sayang naman, i thought its nice. awesome hotel is my second choice, apparently they are fully booked na for our date. my family wanted to stay in a resort with pool din and so far these two pa lang nakita namin sa sites na maayos.

Thunderbird is an option if your budget permits.

EDIT: if DIY sya, meron bang van tours to LU? nabasa ko kasi maliit lang yung seats sa partas bus.. not comfy compared to joy bus going to baler

I miss San Juan! Though we didnt stay there, my friend and I had breakfast in Kahuna, I think it was a bit pricey - mas bet ko pa yung sa kabilang restaurant I think Fat Wave (?) not sure..
Pero ang location talaga ng Kahuna is excellent.

Searched for Awesome Hotel ~ hmm fishy ang mga review sa TripAdvisor puro 1 review lang mga nag contribute haha

I wish to stay pa din sa Flotsam and though medyo mahirap puntahan, gusto ko din try sa Thunderbird

Another good place to stay is costa villa. katabi lang ng flotsam and jetsam.
Speaking of the latter ang sarap ng food nila. value for money i wouldn't mind going back for the third time just to eat their seared tuna

^sa Costa Villa kami nag stay last year, okay lang, typical Bed and Breakfast, liit ng pool pero affordable.
And YES sa food ng FJ ~ pizza is yum! pati chicken and yung Flotjet sling ♥

Nasa La Union ako ngayun. Awsome Hotel seems ok naman so far. The rooms are nice & big and the bed is comfy. Wala nga lang hot water showers and the weather has been rainy since yesterday. Sana it clears up tomorrow so we can go surfing. Beginners lang kasi kami.

we're planning to go to la union, we arrive there at about 6am.. ask ko lang if ok lang mag tour muna kame sa ma-cho temple, and pagoda and other tourist spots there until 12noon, before mag checkin, settle down and beach bum the whole day.. then surfing on day 2

or should we do surfing on day 1 and 2 and go to other tourist spots sa day 3 sa umaga before going back to manila..

Walang alon. Di ako nakapag surf. Baka balik nlng ako ulit sa surfing season or Baler nlng ulit.
Pero I had fun here sa LU kasi we went to Tangadan Falls! One and a half trek. Medyo nakakapagod. Grabe pawis ko dito. After ng trek, finally nakarating din ng Falls. And syempre nag cliff jump ako!

you can check San Juan Surf Resort. Flotsam & Jetsam is a very cozy place the thing is medyo malayo sya sa beach front.

i went to Elyu last weekend. we stayed at Costa Villa Beach Resort. The room that we got is good for 4. it was nice ang clean. a few steps away lang naman sila sa beach. what i dont like about Costa Villa is yung food nila. wala masyadong choices. and yung free breakfast pero kung ano lang yung iseserve nila yun lang. like for us it was longanisa. so parate kaming kumakain sa Coast Call Kitchen.

first choice talaga dapat namin e San Juan Surf Resort. pero parate nalang silang fullybooked.

if you're planning to surf try to go there on August or September (monsoon season)

We stayed in sebay, okay naman tho dont expect too much sa rooms.

We stayed in Awesome Hotel for 1 night and 1 night in Thunderbird just 2 weeks ago.

Awesome Hotel is awesome talaga lol. I'm not sure if it's a new hotel kc mukhang bago. Rooms are clean which is my number one concern sa paghanap ng hotels.
May 2 mostquitos akong nakita. Wifi is weak. Pool is clean. Meron silang part na for kids na may kumukulo pa. And may fountain din sa pool. Yun breakfast naman pwede mo ipadeliver na lang sa room mo
if ayaw mo lumabas. Food is nice. Sa restaurant naman nila, we had our dinner and it was raining. Nabasa kami kc parang garden lang yun resto nila pero may cover naman para sa ulan
pero may pumapasok pa din ulan. At dahil garden sya, madaming insects. Pero masarap ang food. Sa likod naman ng hotel is the beach kaya ok magpicture taking.


Thunderbird naman, sobrang tagal bago kami nakapagcheck in, pinapunta na kami sa room pero hindi pa pala tapos linisin.
Room is clean. May bath tub. Wifi is good. Everything is expensive. Pool is clean and bigger than Awesome Hotel's pool.
No mosquitos in our room. Rooms are big. You can ride the golf cart para maglibot libot or just walk around. Pero sa pool area, yun mga lifeguards dun hindi marunong sumaway.
Meron dun mga koreans na nagtatakbuhan sa pool and nakakatama na ng ibang tao pero parang wala lang.

Making a new thread

So it's summer time already.


Going to La Union this April 8 (weekend before the holy week) and most of the hotels are booked already.

I was able to find 2 hotels. So I'm torn.
The first one is Yang House at 4,000 per night (good for 4). The other one is Chill'n Hotel at 3,400 per night.

Both are not beach front, however, Chill'n hotel got their own pool. I heard you really can't swim sa waters ng LU.
I know Yang Hotel, wala silang pool pero the owner can recommend you daw to another place/hotel na may pool na free.

if hindi naman kayo pala surf at gusto nyo talaga ng beachfront, relaxing ang ambiance  sa sunset bay beach resort kayo pumunta. suki na kami dito... Si Spider owner nito isang British art teacher fromHongkong kaya ang design ng resort nya ang daming art pieces at maraming garden.. reasonable din prices nya meron pang infinity pool. iniisip nga din namin na mag san juan surf school o sebay  e tinanong ko kids ko kung gusto ba nilang mag surfing parang di type..mas type nila yung instagrammable na place kaya dito na lang kami. ang san juan surf school at sebay kasi e surfing  talaga dadayuhin mo dun wala kasi masyadong view  for picture taking na kina career ng mga anak ko para  sa ig accounts nila.
