San banda to sis? Parang hindi sya kahilera ng Kahuna and San Juan Surf Resort eh. Wanted to go there too.

i think much better sa flotsam kasi mas malapit sa beach, [textspeak!] circle hostel tatawid ka pa. ayun, and mas bago kasi flotsam

undecided pa din if sa kahuna or san juan surf resort kami... my teenager daughter gusto mag take ng surfing class, my son naman mas prefer pool, ako and hubby more on chill/inom lang.  Question, magkalayo ba kahuna and san juan surf resort?  if ever sa kahuna kami mag stay, may daughter can still take Luke's class?

@forumera, San Fernando first before san Juan.. about 10-15 mins lang layo..walang surf spot sa San Fernando as far as I can remember..

I would highly recommend Flotsam and Jetsam Hostel. Sobrang hospitable ng owner na si Mia. The RV camper of Jericho Rosales is for rent for 1800 a night good for 2 comes with a great buffet breakfast na!

Hi mga sisses!ask ko lang if meron kayo alam na cheap lang na resort sa La Union na may surfing lesson, pool, malapit sa beach na swimmable and offers boodle fight on their menu.

Meron din ba kayo alam na resto na may boodle fight package?How much kaya for 15pax?I want to treat my family kasi pag uwi ko ng Pinas.

If possible may resort ba na pwede ang magluto at magdala ng sariling food?

Alam nyo ba kung san yun resort na pinuntahan sa byahe ni Drew featuring La Union?

We also need a resort with accommodation for 12-15pax.Nagtry na ko magresearch pero di ko makuha yun mga requirements ko sa isang place lang. Baka may alam kayo.TIA

I fell in love with San Juan La Union over the weekend kahit hassle na hassle ako sa byahe. yung Partas bus 7 hours ang inabot ng byahe one way. ang daming stop over ang daming pinipick up na pasahero. we were at the bus station ng 3am saturday tapos almost 6am na umalis ang bus. prior yung trip namin kinukulit ko ang partas kung every hour ba talaga ang alis ng bus. oo daw. tapos hindi naman. nun pauwi pa kami manila nasiraan yun deluxe bus. at kelangan sa terminal pa sa cubao irefund.

yun din bus terminal ng partas sa san fernando la union ay maliit lang. wala masyado mauupuan and you have to get a number from the guard para first come first serve basis ng pagsakay sa bus. pero ang totoo pasakay lang naman sila ng pasakay. yung iba nakaupo sa gitna sa wooden or plastic chairs na mababa considering na deluxe bus yun ha.ang masaki pa nasiraan sa agoo tapos pinatransfer kami sa regular aircon bus.

sa susunod siguro kung di ko maabutan yung deluxe bus ng partas magcucutting trip na lang ako via pangasinan. mas magaganda pa yung mga bus ng bound for pangasinan.

ok so enough of the bad experience, yung maganda naman we stayed sa San Juan Surf Resort. at nandun si Luke Landrigan hehe at palagi na lang topless itong si kuya haha. medyo pricey ang accommodation sa San Juan Surf compared sa Flotsam and Jetsam kasi wala pang kasamang breakfast yung 1800 standard room sa San Juan Surf, compared sa Flotsam yung RV Camper ay 1800 a night with breakfast. Mas masarap din ang kape sa flotsam at unlimited. sa San Juan Surf brewed coffee ay 50 php at coffeemate ang partner di pa pwede humingi ng extra. additional 15 php pa. ang best na nakainan namin ay sa Urbiz Grill. tawid a lang sa main road tapat ng San Juan Surf. usual bill namin mga 350 to 400. may 2 ulam na kami na good for sharing and rice (parang pang 3 pax kasi kinakain namin ni bf hehe). mas mura ang beer sa san juan surf at 57 vs 75 sa flotsam. must try also sa flotsam yung pizza nila. we also tried el union coffee. yun lang yata ang coffee shop sa san juan area.

sa surfing di kami sa san juan surf nagavail pero i found out pareho pareho lang din naman sila ng rate. 400 php for 1 hour inclusive of board (sa san juan surf may kasamang rashguard use). pwede nyo hatiin yun time. kung board rental lang 200 per hour.

if group kayo who wouldn't mind sleeping sa bunk beds i suggest flotsam. you can probably rent out the whole dorm. i think 6 ang capacity nun isa and the other one 7 naman. im not sure lang kung saan pwede magdala ng food and magluto. hindi din masyado kasi uso yata sa san juan yung parang dampa style na pili ka ng seafood from an aquarium tapos papaluto mo. in fact we had a hard time looking for this type of kainan. sa urbiz grill kami lagi bumabagsak kasi bf likes yung grilled tuna belly. fresh daw.

nakakawili sa san juan at sa san juan surf resort. gusto ko na ulit bumalik. pero by car na siguro. para 4 hours lang byahe via sctex tplex at walang masyadong stop over.

p.s yung nakita ko lang na may pool at kahuna. may rate sa website nila. medyo high end ang peg nito.

Plan sana namin mag road trip 2nd week of August. Dadaan lang sana kami sa Lomboy Farm, anybody here na nakarating na dun? How much po magagastos for the grape picking and lunch na sana. Thanks!

Another good place to stay is costa villa. katabi lang ng flotsam and jetsam.
Speaking of the latter ang sarap ng food nila. value for money i wouldn't mind going back for the third time just to eat their seared tuna

anyone who stayed in kahuna beach resort? its quite expensive pero is it worth it ba? I read few blog post pero no recent so baka madami na nagbago.



I am going to LU this weekend with my family tas side trip to Baguio na rin.

^ For me it's not worth, especially for the food. Hindi masarap and bad service.

Awesome Hotel is the newest in the area. I've heard a lot of good feedback, though I've not been there yet.
