La Union: where to stay?

gusto ko matry magsurf sa la union! just tried recently sa baler, consistent naman ang waves doon, pero medyo slow learner ako di gaya ni chyng (salamat sa baha ng malabon hehe).

We recently went to La Union(mainly for surfing) and we stayed sa San Juan Surf Resort. Okay naman:) We were a group of 8 and then we got a dorm room. Decent naman, double deck pero clean and comfy:) they have rooms good for 2 na less than a thousand lang, 950 ata. and the owner is this cute surfer guy na crush na crush na ng friend ko after the trip.haha

We went to Thunderbird Poro Point last weekend, and kahit maulan naenjoy namin yung place We booked their Deluxe VO Rooms via Asiatravel for 5700 per night. Though I expected the place to be a bit bigger -- medyo nakakabitin yung resort kasi konti lang pala yung rooms and they only have 1 restaurant and a bar, the pool is big enough pero isa lang for adults and another one for kids, and yung beach mabato and medyo murky so we didn't get to swim there. Yung casino nila is separate from the resort, hindi walking distance but they have free transfers.

We were not able to find Tai Pan and Mommy Lu's pero we got to eat at Halo halo de Iloko, Vegas Cafe (Inside Fiesta Casino) and Rosebowl. Thumbs up lahat

oo sa san juan area ata yung malakas yung waves, dito sa poro point hindi masyado.

ay salamat po, nag think twice ako kasi yun officemate ko tinamaan ng surf board sa ulo, natahian.hehe para ayoko na try hindi pa naman ako sanay.hehe

went here last weekend, unfortunately, hinde maganda ang wave  nag-surf kami the whole sat pero maliit lang yung wave at konti lang...sunog na nga likod ko eh kakahintay. sunday, hinde na talaga kami nakapag-surf, nagkayak na lang kami.

stayed at San Juan Surf resort. ok naman yung resort, malinis tska maluwag yung mga rooms and ok ang price nya. ang hinde ko lang nagustuhan is yung manager nila sa reception. may pagka-masungit sya. iniisip ko nga baka dahil pinoy kami? mostly kase foreigners nakikita ko dun. tapos naniningil pa sila ng bill namin sa food kahit di pa dumadating order namin.  kala mo tatakbuhan eh. ewan ko lang kung ginagawa nila sa lahat to. yung mga staff nya ang babait, sya lang dun ang di ko nagustuhan.

fully booked na lu and baler. sa car na nga lang kami matutulog.  been trying to get accomodations the last two weeks pero wala na talaga.

sis sa LU ba kayo, meron kasi pinareserve dyan pero inde naman ko natuloy good for 2 sa sebay surf..pero 1 day resrvation lang yun
