La Union: where to stay?

I take Partas if commute.
I always like the late night/madaling araw trip para mabilis at matutulog ka lang sa bus. If daytime kasi, ang traffic sa Tarlac & Pangasinan highways.

Sorry, no idea on resort. I have relatives kasi there kaya doon lang kami tumutuloy.

ms.orange17, tumutigil naman bus kahit sa highway ka para or tapat ng sebay... kung medyo naiinip ka naman na kakahintay ng bus, pwede ka ride ng jeep going to san fernando, kamo ibaba ka sa terminal ng Partas...

like, anong bus? saan iyong bus terminal?
anong route iyong dapat sakyan at landmark para malaman na malapit na sa san juan... plan ko kasi pumunta dito end of november...

kakauwi ko lang galing la union. nag-planning kasi doon ang employee's association namin at sa thunderbird poro point san fernando, la union kami nagstay. maganda ang rooms nila. malinis at may jacuzzi sa loob ng ilang rooms (meron dun sa pinagstayan namin). may pool pero di ok iyong beach nila. mabato kasi ang tapat nila so di pwede doong magswimming. meron sanang pwedeng paliguan kaya lang maraming seaweeds at troso dahil siguro sa bagyo at may kalayuan din sa hotel. 10 minutes walk siguro. iyon nga lang di masyadong masarap ang food pag lunch at dinner pero ang buffet breakfast nila panalo naman. all-in-all ok ang trip kasi libre naman pero nakakapagod ang byahe. di kasi ako sanay bumyahe ng nakavan pag malayuang byahe usually commute lang ako so di ako masyadong makastretch sa van.

sis! where could I find cheap rash guards? I'll be in San Juan on January9-10 kaso till now wala apko rashguard 
also, need ba ng reservation sa san juan resort? or ok lang na hindi na? How much ang bus ride? naku dame ko tanong! heheh! thanks mga sis!!

I found one once in Robinson's Department Store. Nakalimutan ko lang ang brand but it was P600. Pretty okay naman.

It's better to reserve if you're going to San Juan Resort kasi may mga oras na maraming pumupunta (depends sa forecast ng waves). Research ka na lang online re number (not sure kasi kung pwede magpost). You can shoot me a pm though.

Bus ride ang wala akong idea. Napagusapan naman na yata yun kung hindi dito nasa pex.

okay na yung resort at yung bus ride hehe.. rashguard nlng ang problema ko. Ang mahal kase ng branded eh! I'll try looking sa robinsons! Thanks sis! Balitaan ko kayo kapag nakaya kong tumayo sa surf board *crossfingers*

^sis you can find affordable rashguard sa may 3rd floor ng robinsons galleria, around 700-800 iyong mga long sleeve rash guard malapit iyong store sa olympic village, "bombproofgear" iyong name ng stall

sa sassa din meron mga rashguard 700-800 din, bumili ako ng rashguard na short sleeve 699 lang

@ebosh: kaya yan, madali lang tumayos sa surfboard! make sure to start with a longboard first. get jeff or mang abe as instructor too if you can. pero they are all basically patient teachers.

How do I make a reservation for Sebay Resort, or San Juan Surf Resort? I tried texting the number on Sebay's site (it doesn't seem too updated, same with San Juan Surf Resort's) but no reply so far. Help? Thanks.

Hi mga sis!! Just got back from LaUnion. The trip was super saya at super tiring! hehe! We arrived at Sebay around 530am na from 12mn trip in Cubao via Partas. Yung food marami ng makakainan sa tabi tabi, if you're on a budget like us sa labas kame kumakain hindi sa resort hehe! Also, take note of your time of arrival kase kame we arrived earlier than the check-in time which is 7am. So they charged us extra for the early check-in. Then masyadong malakas yung alon when we were there, so instead of surfing at our beach front we need to travel pa almost 30mins to...... i forgot the name. I think that was bacnotan?? not sure! hehe! Kase dun daw pwede kapag hindi pa professional. We were charged Php600.00 for the jeepney ride going there pero it was divided to number of pax naman so no need to worry. And surfing itself was easy. Just take the instructions and its all up to you na! Don't forget to bring alaxan for the body aches! Sobrang sakit ng katawan ko ngaun! huhuhu... All in all, the experience was great and I would definitely go back!!
Here's the breakdown of our expenses:
Transpo Cubao - Sebay: 397.00/head
Accomodation in Surfer's inn: 300.00/head
Surf trainor and rental: 400/head/hr
Food: 300-400/day/head (depends kung san kayo kakain)
