have you heard about the thunderbird resort in Poro Point, La Union.... saw this pics in multiply, its really nice parang ur in Greece

m planning to go here next weekend to surf. any recommended resorts na cheap lang? and how much ang rent ng board dun and lessons na din? i think i need a refresher course, it's been a while since the last time i surfed baka d na ako makatayo

We will be going to La Union for surfing this Sunday and staying in the Little Surfmaid Resort, which I've heard good reviews about.

This may be a little off-topic but I hope someone can help me anyway:

Do I need to bring my own rashguard for surfing?[/i] This will be my first time to try it and take lessons. Thanks!

Accommodation Rates:
Room for 2 without balcony: P2500
Room for 2 with balcony: P2900
Room for 3 with balcony: P3500
Room for 4 with balcony: P3900
All rooms come with cable TV, Refrigerator, broadband internet connection and a/c.

Thunderbird Resort Poro San Fernando, La Union:

Accommodation:
Weekdays (Sun-Thurs) - P 6,721 (2 persons)
Weekends (Fri-Sat) - P 7,225 (2 persons)
Additional P1,500 for extra head

If you're coming from Manila, around 5-6 hours ang biyahe by bus

from manila to san fernando la union around 5hrs driving time. yung poro point is another 15mins. Yeah thunderbird is nice, kaso wala silang beach na pwede ka mag swim ha. if you want to swim sa nearby beach resort ka pupunta , i recall the name of the resort is seapark ata yun. Thunderbird guests are mostly casino gamblers from macau and china.

My friend Ian organises surfing trips to San Juan, La Union. Incl. na transport, accommodation, surfing lessons and partey sa gabi! Wala pang 3k and ang cool pa mga kasama nyo. Kilalalang kilala na sya ng mga local. (haha sa instructors, request for crazy Kuya Abe a.k.a. Pink or super pasensyosong si Mandy E. Pag masyadong malakas alon they'll even take you pa to Bacnotan beach.

Food and alcohol naman is super mura. Presyong sari-sari store!

Ehm... for 1,300 you can buy na cool rashguard and boardshorts sa Manila malls :-p
