hmmm ang mumura nung mga r4 etc etc sa kanya i remember nung nagtanong ako ng r4 dito sa may amin ang mahal nasa 1,800 or 1,500 ata wala pa yung mismo yung para sa games.

^^ No, it doesn't. The R4/EDGE/DSTT is just a piece of plastic laced with electronics that can read a microSD filled with games that have been acquired in a questionable and somewhat ilegal manner.

Long story short, it's a way for you to play your favorite games without actually paying for it.

after looking at rocksoftonline and reading some posts ( mostly at supericko's..thanks to you!) i 'll rather buy edge
 at rocksoftonline they have edge+2gb micro sd package at Php1,400. what do you think? nakamura na ba ako??

odette711, rocksoftonline is a cool place to acquire some DS-related items. I believe I bought my DS Lite USB charger from them before.

To answer your question, yes, you have to get a microSD plus the R4/EDGE. But the package you're acquiring from Rocksoft is the same as getting the package from CELTEX at Greenhills. P1000 for the EDGE and P400 for the 2GB microSD. That's the breakdown of it. It's the cheapest and highly recommended (by me) package for your homebrew needs. But it's up to you where you get it from.

dyan_sk8, yeah, the DS Lite can still handle GBA games and it's only one screen but, if you go to the DS settings, you get to choose which screen the game will show on. What are you planning to play in GBA?

dyan_sk8, the GBA is a good portable console to own but I'd still suggest getting a DS Lite so at least you have more games to choose from between GBA and DS.

dyan_sk8, the GBA is a good portable console to own but I'd still suggest getting a DS Lite so at least you have more games to choose from between GBA and DS.

i already have a psp and i love the games..but seeing the DSI Pink..i kinda want to have it since i miss playing Mario..may pink na ba here? how much and where safe to buy? thanks much!

Gladz31842, yeah, you can play while charging.

Just one tidbit, though. If the charging light goes off while you're playing, it means the battery is full and you're not charging anymore so don't be surprised if the battery light turns red again even if the DS is connected to the charger. That's one of my favorite failsafe options of the DS. It won't ruin your battery when your playing while charging.

I saw a NDS lite core pack on ebay.ph, P6000. Ok na kaya yun? Bibilhin ko nalang separately yung EDGE and Micro SD. Or mas mura pa dyan?
