You can also browse the internet and download DS(i)Ware games for Nintendo Points. I forgot to add that when you buy a DS(i) and register through Wi-Fi, you'll get free 1000 Nintendo Points until October 5, 2009.

@superricko-I'm inthinking of selling it kasi I'm bored with it hehe the only reason why I bought it last year is because of Super Mario. I'll probably just keep it as souvenir

I'm planning on getting the DS Lite. Ok lang ba kahit na may kakalabas lang na DSi? Di ba ako magiging outdated. I already have a PSP kasi and I don't think I need the features such as camera, wifi, etc. What do you guys think?

goldbabyphat, if you're just in it for the games, yeah, go for DS Lite. Nintendo hasn't made any games that needs the peripherals of the DS(i) yet... YET! Though I've seen a game that needed a DS(i)'s download capability. An Animal Crossing game that can download a clock and a calculator in-game.

babyhon, I haven't heard of anyone doing that but maybe you can check around greenhills.

I have a question, mahina ba talaga yun volume ng DS Lite? Compared to my PSP kasi mahina. I want to know para I can still have it changed if it is defective.

I have charged my DS Lite for 4 hours already (sabi 3 hours lang dapat) but still ayaw mawala ng orange light. Should I remove it na from the plug or hintayin na mawala yun orange light?

Where did you buy your DS Lite? US or Asian version?

Just wait for the orange light to disappear. This is the initial charge so it really takes a while.

A little tip:

When the orange light disappears while it's still connected to the charger, it actually stops charging. Which really helps in the battery life. I noticed that 2 years ago when I was charging and playing at the same time. The the orange light disappeared but I was still playing and the DS Lite is connected to the charger but after a couple of hours later, the power light became red and I was surprised coz I thought it would continue charging. But then I realized that Nintendo was very smart in giving that option so we won't ruin the battery quicker. After that, I never play while charging.

As for the speakers, since it's smaller compared to the PSP, it can be negated by most noise in crowded areas but, like in my experience, it'll be loud when you play it in your room. How about try to compare the loudness with another DS Lite or do it from the store you bought it from.

^^ No, it won't. Just make sure you only charge your DS when it completely runs out of battery.

Another tip:

If the light is red and you don't wanna risk losing game progress until you completely run out of battery, just turn up the volume and select the Download Play on your DS menu screen and just let it run until the DS shuts down. It help drain the battery quicker.

I've been doing that method for more than 2 years and change in the battery performance is not that noticeable too.

But how long really is the initial charging time? I think I got a defective unit so i'll have it changed. What color do you guys recommend? Is crimson/black nice, ice blue? Or what else?

^^ I never really bothered to clock the "initial charging time". What I did with mine when I got my DS was I played with it for an hour then I charged it like I always do and it's still works properly until now.

I suggest you observe your DS Lite on the remaining guaranteed exchange days and go from there. But if you're really itching for another color, go for the Cobalt/Black.

Something is wrong with my unit, battery or charger. When I got my DS Lite, I charged it initially for 3 hours. I played it for like 2 or 3 hours only then the battery died on me. I tried to charge it, but the orange light won't go on. I tried 110 and 220 but still no orange light. My unit I think is Made in China.

What do you think is wrong? I already had it replaced, so this is the 2nd unit and it's really getting me frustrated. The unit was sealed when I got it because when I turned it on, I had to choose the language, time, etc.

Yun nga, I read about a soft reset somewhere, I just forgot how. What do you mean version? Like where it is made? I think it's written at the back of the unit. As for the exact version im not sure.
