Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi [Thread 2]

sucks, i am having problems with my ds lite. whenever i turn it on, there's a "EDGE.dat some-foreign-language-words" error showing. can't play with it for 2 weeks na. haaayy. when i tried to format the memory card, the same error showed. do i have to replace my memory card already?

crystalMaiden, try to upgrade your homebrew firmware. Coz when you say "reformat" your microSD, do you put back all the files that was in there afterwards? If you're still having a problem, just PM me.

dyan_sk8, yes, there are stores here that sell DS(i) already and it's US version. Ranging from 8.8K (at Celtex) to 10.5K (at Data Blitz). Those are my 2 fave stores and, coincidentally, they're on opposite sides of the price spectrum.

Again, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm gonna reiterate a very important tip since this is a new page for the thread...

NEVER. EEEeeever. BUY. from. mall-based. stores.

It will suck the money right out of your life. And that's no exaggeration!

^ ang mahal naman ng benta ng data blitz. 2k bale ang patong? even with tax, the DSi should only cost about Php 8,750.

hay i can't imagine nga kung sa mall mo siya bibilhin. baka 20k harhar. epal mga stores na yan.

But you wanna know something worse? Someone actually bought recently the DS(i) for 12K!!! Bwahahahahahahaha! Sad, but true! It wasn't funny at first but since we know the actual prices in the market, that became pretty hilarious.

^^ Only the DS(i) can download DS(i)Ware (games/applications) from the DS(i) Shop Channel.

Once you purchase a DS(i) and register it online, you'll automatically get 1000 Nintendo Points.

dyan_sk8, the DS/DS Lite can't download games online... unless you use a homebrew item... *cough* ILLEGAL! *cough*

iamtsina, Celtex is located at the 2nd floor, Theatre Mall, Greenhills. I'm guesstimating that the DS Lite these days would cost around Php6K since the DS(i) is priced Php8.8K

iamtsina, that's unit only. I dunno how much they add for other peripherals such as screen protectors, casings, pouches, etc.

I'm so tempted to get the DS(i) with that roughly 2k price difference in Celtex. I could live with the boring black color. But I'm a Guitar Hero fan, so perhaps DSL is the way to go...

Finally! After months bordering to years of waiting... Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for Japan has come out!!!

Yeah, yeah, I know I don't really know how to speak or read japanese but if you're a fan of the series like I am, you'll be really stoked at the situation.

All I have to wait for is the English version...

Anyway, I'll check that out in a while, it's time to answer some questions...

edzedz14, what's the difference? Surely my answer won't be as good as checking wiki so I'll just list the stuff the DS(i) have that the DS/DS Lite doesn't have.

Yes, you can play homebrew... but you'll have to find out how coz I can't really talk about it here. Y'know, forum rules and all.

iluvescadasport, I'm guesstimating it to be around 4K these days since a brand new DS Lite's about 6K at greenhills. Btw, why are you selling it?
