Nintendo DS Games [Thread 2]

Recently, I downloaded my very first DS(i)Ware called Dr. Mario Express. In my line of work, I only have an hour tops to play my DS and I mostly sleep at home so I'm really slacking on my gaming hours. If I ever enrolled in a gaming course, I would've failed! But I digress.

Dr. Mario is one of those Tetris spinoffs that made it's debut in 1990 on the NES and Game Boy. Since this is another Mario game, Nintendo did its best to milk the consumers by making it for the Super NES, WiiWare and now DS(i)Ware.

I like it's nature for being something quick to play while still engaging coz you get frustrated being beaten by a simple game of a Tetris wannabe. If I ever want to play an actual game these days, I'd make sure I have a 3-hour block all to myself.

^^ I played OoE in both HARD Level 1 and 50. Both are frickin' tough and I still wonder to this day how I managed to get by.

Oh, gee, maybe it's coz I had to go through every location over and over due to dying over and over... all the while it was still on NORMAL Level! Geez! Everything got so embedded on my short term memory by the time I got to the "hard part".

Flameheart, I haven't tried Henry Hatsworth yet but I think it's just a Layton ripoff with a twist. IMHO.

Rhythm Heaven has been driving me crazy these days. Sometimes, I'm scared that I will be poking a hole through my touch screen because of this game. Try it. You'll love and hate it at the same time. LOL

question: if you buy the guitar hero game for ds lite, would you also get the keyboard or whatever? harhar. ano bang tawag dun. wah!!! gusto ko ng guitar hero.

Can't get past remix 3 have you tried suikoden? all my ds-owning friends are so into it but i find it a bit boring. is it because i've never played a suikoden game before?

^^ Yeah, same as you, pizzameltpie. (feeling close again?) No, seriously, IMHO... RPGs gets boring after playing over time. I understand levelling up is integral to a hero's success in the game but I'd rather play a hero who's immediately ready to fight and all he/she needs to look for are weapons. Like Zelda and Metroid.

tubs, you are VERY lucky to have a sister who buys you a DS Lite. Hehe! As for the "blowing to your DS" part aside from Cooking Mama, I'm guessing that's Feel The Magic: XX-XY. Very cool game. One of the first games for the DS.

i'm a late bloomer sa ds hahaha mine is just about 8 months old, di ba old games na yun? will give those a try hahaha i'm currently busy with mystery case files, rhythm heaven, and trial and tribulations

Flameheart, I suggest you download all 19 songs from Elite Beat Agents. That's what I did and loaded those to my iPod. It becomes natural sooner or later.

Currently, the Phoenix Wright games are hard to find since they came out 2 years ago and I got mine through an online seller. But I think Data Blitz is still selling Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney.

pizzameltpie, the The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Metroid Prime: Hunters came out 2 years ago. They were very good games. Ooohhh, you're also playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations! COOL! Imagine yourself playing that game while commuting on a bus or the MRT and then shout "Objection!" to your DS. Can you imagine the reaction the other passengers have on their faces? I do! HAHA! It was hilarious!

Oh, btw, if you're getting a DS(i), get it before October 5, 2009 coz that's the last day for the free 1000 Nintendo Points to be given once you've registered your DS(i) online.

^ hehe pass na muna ako sa DSi. di ko pa naabuse masyado yung ds lite eh. maganda nga daw ang gardening mama but i'll try cooking mama 2 first. para din mainspire ako magluto hehe. yung pamangkin ng friend ko, 11 years old yung bata, lalaki pa, natutong magluto sa cooking mama.
