^yup globus and cosmos tour is good. wag yung contiki, kasi parang backpacker tour yata yun but the crowd is mostly our age =) so if it is your cup of tea, contiki is cheaper but do not expect same hotel accomm like globus and cosmos =)

Hi girls, what's the weather like in Europe during the last week of May-June? My husband and I will be joining a tour from London to Italy, Paris etc. and I'm not sure what kind of clothes to bring.

Average temperature is from 15C to 22C

hi girls, i plan to go on a month-long eurotour this april-may.
sa march 25 magaapply ng visa, it's a gift actually so hindi ko pa personally nakakausap yung travel company na na-hire.

what i want to know is how many luggage and carry on is allowed in european airlines if you're gonna travel coach? pag business class kasi, if i remember correctly, ang allowed is 1 personal bag (purse) and one carry on (ilalagay sa overhead cabin) plus a check-in luggage or two.

i plan to bring the ff:
1. 1 medium sized check in luggage that holds my clothes, toiletries etc
2. 1 carry on backpack/rolling convertible bag that will hold one set of clothes, my gadgets, (ipad, camera, chargers), scarf, sandals, and jacket
3. 1 personal purse (for travel docs, wallet, makeup essentials, and this is the one imma use when sight-seeing)

will i be allowed one carry-on plus one purse or will i have to check in both rolling bags? mahaba kasi the byahe and i wanna look fresh pa din pag land sa europe, kahit na i traveled coach.

Do you already know your airline?
I've carried a trolley suitcase + laptop backpack + purse + 1 checked-in suitcase without any problems. This is with Lufthansa and Emirates.

^Standard for all airlines be it local, US or European, for the cabin you are allowed one carry on bag (within IATA standard measurement)  AND one personal item. The personal item can be a purse, a small backpack or a laptop bag.

For check-in luggage depends on the airline you will be taking for economy or coach it is 20kgs. Check your ticket how many pieces of check-in bags are allowed. Some airlines like KLM will only allow one piece up to 20kgs but some will allow two pieces still up to 20kgs.

^unless you'll be landing in London heathrow, they only allow 1 carry-on whether it's a purse, a trolley, a laptop bag or a duffle bag.  basta 1 lang talaga. =)

^sis, sorry got confused. Landing? Or you mean departing? Would you know which airline? For CX we allow the standard one carry on and one personal item be it on economy or business class.

i remember it was such a hassle kasi everytime we land to and depart from heathrow, i'd have to keep my purse inside the duffle para maging isang piece lang sya =)

^Yeah, that was such a hassle specially if you were just transiting LHR. We encountered a lot of passenger complaints during that time. But what can we do, government rules na yun.

Gals, has anyone here lived in Italy for a month or two? I'm thinking on embarking on this journey in Europe and want to settle for a month in Italy... I'm thinking countryside like Liguria or maybe a smaller city like Torino. Any thoughts?

hi! i would just like to ask, how much is the usual budget for a european tour? say, a 2-week trip to visit UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain (?), Belgium.

Tama na ba ang 2-week trip for these countries?

I want to get contiki also kasi parang mas fun.

^my friends who went to a contiki tour for 2-3 weeks paid around 200k each for tour alone. wala pa plane and pocket money so i guess 300k, make it 350k just in case?

also, you can cover those countries for 2 weeks pero mabilisan yan. usually 1-2days lang per city which is bitin kasi france alone, 1 week na para sulit =)

May-June is generally Spring/Summer in EU. You should bring light jacket lang as sometimes it gets cold at night. Weather will be around 15-17 degrees and sometimes like last year it went up high like 28-32 degrees for a day.

This is the very good time to see EU as it is nice to see Spring/Summer. Sana may abutan ka pa mga Cherry Blossoms.

Grabe expensive talaga when one goes on packaged tours! Tapos mabilisan pa. One spends more time in the bus than staying in a place. These are the very reasons I DIY all my trips. Of course kanya kanyang preference din naman.

sinabi mo pa sis! di rin sila sobra nag-enjoy coz they spent most of their time travelling sa bus and running to catch the bus baka maiwan sila hhahahha! daming funny kwentos nga eh sa contiki. after their 2 weeks contiki tour, they stayed for 1 more week in paris DIY na daw. same tayo, i always prefer DIY. =)

ive tried going around europe by joining a tour group (trafalgar - not my thing also), DIY, and by joining a cruise.  based on experience, cheapest and more convenient pag naka-cruise, yun nga lang 1 day lang per city...
